So refreshing to have a leading football podcast not sponsored by a betting company.
Amen
Not refreshing to see virtue signalling in the comments.
There's other football podcasts? They might as well just give it up. 🤣
Give it time
@@Thailandfc24 where do they claim people are encouraged by seeing ads? Plus, people very obviously ARE encouraged by seeing ads. 🤦🏻♂️
The healthy banter is top tier, Micah’s laugh always gets me🤣
Same I just follow anything he’s on now 😂
They forgot to mention Crouch's overhead kick. Amazing. A man his size to get the contact and technique all right was a sight to behold
Micah Richards is such a positive personality. Absolutely brilliant. He brings out the kids in Al and Gary, who aren't shy of personality either. Love this Pod, lads. Thank you for doing it.
Zlatan’s against England distance was amazing
I was there, and majority of England fans in my section celebrated that goal too 😂
Keeper was standing next to him tho
Just a bit too lobby. Direct strike looks better
Ibras was sumthing out of this world man, but as far as the PL goes GrrrrrrNachos is the best eva
Great goal but no goalie
Micah’s laughter makes Alan act like he’s 3 pints in
I think Alan is just three pints in.
@@Agaroki I'd say Alan is rather 3 pints in.
the reason that garnacho goal was 0.08xG is because most xG models measure the chance from where the shot was taken and sometimes where the defenders are and/or where the gk is when the shot is taken. it doesn’t take in what type of shot it is just where it’s been struck from
Micah is such a blessing to modern day Punditry. Gotta love the guy!.....
Berba scored a nice overhead kick against Liverpool. The touch with his knee, then the overhead kick that went in off the crossbar
Big difference though between a direct one and this, in terms of difficulty. Having said that, one can't deny the quality of that Berbatov strike.
Including the fact that it was part of his hat trick in a 3-2 win against bitter rivals
The best overhead kick certainly has got to go to Ibrahimovic, without a doubt! Imagine doing it from 40 yards, blimey!!😅
the chemistry and just genuine unscripted banter is just so good....loving the episodes.
Alan and Micah didn’t catch Gary’s ‘I scored 8 out of 100 bicycles in training’ joke
What was the joke. I just thought he was telling the truth 🤣
@@kiff4005 because ‘xG’ said that garnachos goal would be scored 8 out of 100 times
I think Alan did he did a face
He literally goes “whey”
Micah's stories are impressive
Pep has talked about the holding midfielder thing before. He says that the CDM is like the general of the team and that they are usually the most tactically aware player on the pitch and thats why they end up being good managers because they understand the game at a higher level than anyone else.
I love this podcast!! It is smooth and natural!! Just 3 guys having a friendly banter!!
Really enjoying the pod - feels like having a chat and a laugh in the pub with your mates after the weekends games. Keep it up gents 👌🏻
Obviously they forgot about Ibra’s goal against England… 👀🤷🏻♂️😅
In a friendly and not in the EPL.
Brilliant tribute to El Tel. Awesome podcast
I remember Shearer's 'overhead' goal for England. If I remember right he was falling backwards and accidentally kicked the ball with his flailing right peg. The goal keeper was distracted out of concern for the gy falling backwards ;o)
Can you imagine a collab with the overlap lads and the rest is football? Would be a crazy collab!
Best football show on the web lads. Long may it last.
Great episode lads. You're all a joy. Ollie Watkins looking absolutely lethal. He reminds me of rashford but he's more powerful and more decisive. Watching the improvement of some of these young lads has been fantastic.
Rivaldo's bicycle kick for Barca was pretty special too :)
Crazy to hear Gary talking talking about Wallington, he was my PE teacher at school. Great chat as always guys, love the content!
You guys absolutely rock!
Always love from Miami boys. Keep it up. My first stop when I open RUclips.
I literally screamed "fuck right off" when it flew in the top corner and in no way partial to Man United, it's an unreal goal.
Trevor Sinclair's goal WAS as true bicycle kick and it was an absolute missile.
I think it's a case of "cometh the hour, cometh the man", and the importance of the occasion adds to the goal.
In that respect Gareth Bale's, in a Champions League final, takes the biscuit because it basically won the game.
Ibrahimovic, against England, was also on the biggest stage and surely will never be beaten for sheer audacity. Nobody except Ibrahimovic even thinks about doing that.
Ibra’s was unbelievable and my favourite but it was actually just a friendly. Bale’s was biggest game, CR7 was also in a UCL QF
One of the best overhead kick goals ever was Jürgen Klinsmann playing for VfB Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich in 1987. Check it out. Got goal of the season in the bundesliga 1987/88 season.
Absolutely love these 3 best podcast out there at the moment
Absolutely love this podcast, craic is 90. Great insights and just an enjoyable watch
Leaving the EPL aside...
Maradona did bycicle kicks for fun, from goals, to assists, to mere fun because he could, he was such an acrobatic player apart from being out of this world technically.
Hugo Sanchez also had some extraordinary goals doing it
Quality again lads!
Benito Carbone for Sheffield Wednesday against Newcastle never gets love for overhead kicks.
stats like XG help to make sense of things, like a true reflection of how a team is playing, like Brighton a few years back they were playing exceptional but just couldnt put the ball in the net, nowadays they score close to how they would be "expected" to back then
I have thoroughly enjoyed your podcast!!
Super episode, you guys crack me up fr
Micah I saw the video, it was worth the search. Well played lad
Love this podcast so much can’t stop watching ❤
Great work ❤❤❤
Micah should be feeling better now since everyone will be talking about the defending on Ganarcho’s goal 😅
Loved the discussion about how elite strikers almost automatically calculate when and how to hit the ball. Reminds me of a Japanese Manga called Blue Lock. Brilliant.
6.07 pm here in Malaysia and I'm enjoying this.
I love the lack of humility you guys have when you speak about yourselves. Hahaha. Keep it going. Thoroughly enjoying it. Great entertainment.
Watch every episode lads loving the content from 🇦🇺❤
UTV! Great pod.
Best podcast around ❤
Goal of the Year. "competition over."
Micah description of rooney goal is hilarious
i love this game!!! ayyy
Loving the independance of the cast, allowing self expression.
I remember Wallington player for Lincoln City with the score 1-0 in injury time. The ball went behind the goal and just as I was about to throw it to him he said keep it keep it! So I did. A steward eventually had to take the ball off me 😅
Mexes bicycle kick doesnt get enough recognition… chesting it up and then amazing technique on the bicyle kick. With a man on him and outside the box btw 😅 Ibra and garnacho obv amazing aswell just mentioning that Mexes was 👌🏽
Great shout
What about BIG MEEKS 😂😂😂 Quality Lads Best Podcast out there and there are a few could ones but they are battling for the No.2 spot
👍💥👏😂
First time comment coz I watch it on tele. Love the show. Come on Cardiff!
you might not believe me, but im pretty sure mr wallington was a teacher of mine, great dude i remember him talking about Leicester once or twice
Micah shinned that overhead kick. 😂
Dennis Tueart for Manchester City in the 1970s I used watch at Maine Road before the demolition of Maine Road Stadium
I saw Mainoo play in pre season and you could just tell how good he was within the first 5-10 minutes of the game. He plays with such class. No wonder city have been trying to sign him for years !!!!
I literally stopped listening to Google micah's overhead kick. He is such a character. Love the pod as usual.
Watched the latest episodes of motd top ten - I can't believe you discuss shay given, but overlook the dion dublin gaff at coventry; headlines read; Shay Given, the only Irishman to not know where Dublin was'lol
Top of the net. Brilliant
Zlatan's overhead kick is the best ever, regardless if it was a friendly
Micah is so contagious 😂😂😂
How can you not click when you see these lads on your feed
micah ! that wasnt an overhead kick 😂 it was a sideways one !! did u think we wouldnt check ? 💙
Best goal of all time!!
Big Meeks looks like he needs another one of his 2 grand hair cuts haha 😂 loving the podcasts
It's context as always, if Garnacho had scored that goal and it was the winner against man city, it would be the best
Instinct, Audacity, Skill, Technique, Execution. Shear Brilliance. 0.08 EXG btw.
💯Classic 😂😂😂best show
Shearer is correct his "bicycle kick" was against Belgium
MR2 overhead kick in training - quality😎
How could you forget the Andy Carol bicycle kick Alan?? 🙋🏼♂️
Micah: “How does it go?!?”🤣 to Gary’s slightly questionable attempt at a Japanese accent
Here's a solution for Micah since his laugh always puts me in a good mood.
You have two stables full of horses. Stable one is run by an evil italian stablehand who forces his horses to run while chained to a bus.
Stable two is a german stable where the horses can roam free.
One day, a heroic australian stablehand comes to the rescue and drives off the evil italian stablehand, releasing stable 1's horses from their bondage.
Stable 1's top stallion, however, is so wrought with trauma he chooses to leave stable 1 for greener grass in stable 2.
Is stable 1 better off without its top stallion? It only looks that way due to its horses now roaming free.
Philosophy at this time of day!!
I’m new to the game and still learning 🫣this podcast gives so much insight and joy Loving Football has become easy. Much appreciated podcast ❤
I wouldn’t be surprised if what Gazza meant to say was post shot XG and not just XG. (Speaking of the garnacho goal)
The best way to disregard a bicycle kick “shin”
two best at scissor kicks for me were van basten and hugo sanchez.
maraadona too but he was simple the best.
The best ever overhead kick was from Trevor Sinclair. It’s not even close. The debate about the second best is interesting though.
Shearer says danny wallace. I remember them. The wallace bros
Zlatan for Sweden against England overhead kick from outside the box has to be In with a shout
0.8 xG is actually 8 out of 10!
Gary linekar just explained relativity
Berbatov for Man Utd against Liverpool overhead kick up there
Micah's overhead kick was an own goal
Billy Nicholson spurs boss had ago at Martin Chivers for trying something like that, because you usually miss them.
Zlatan's was maybe better. The magnitude of the game and the opponents. But Garnacho's was defeinitley one of the best. Distance from goal, where he was coming form, to execute that was outstanding. I want to see what Ian Wright has to say becus he had Everton winning the game...
Micah Richards laugh at the end sounded like the start of feel good inc. by Gorillaz
Mauro Bressan for Fiorentina in 1999 is up there as the best bicycle kick ever
Maradona's overhead goal against England is the best ever
is Garnacho's over head better than ibra vs England??
Ibrahimovics goal against England was spectacular, but it was in a friendly, when his team was already
3 goals up, Garnacho's was in a league, was the first and most important goal in the game, and it was a hard technique, which all makes it above Ibrahimovic's for me...
Just found Micah's training ground goal. Great goal but that was a scissor kick.
Bad touch? Panic? Not a chance with these legends 😂
Nobody remembers Amir Zaki’s for Wigan ..
Possibly the best overhead kick in the Prem, but Trevor Sinclair's has never been bettered.
Sinclair’s is still the best I’ve seen. It’s a rocket from outside the area!
Yeah Sinclairs was perfect technique
Yes. That was magical, but in FA Cup.
Shame he’s a nobhead
Question for producer Harry and the guys, have you thought about doing a line of merchandise? I have some great ideas 💡
Gary was a goal hanger
