      Yeah, sounds slightly angry on a cold start, mellow at idle, and sings near redline. 👍

    That 911 logo in the back gives it 928 vibes for some reason.

      It was an option on the 993 so definitely a retro look.

      @@Kianski Oh cool! Are you pretty happy with it ?My mechanic in Pasadena recommended the B12 set up. He was against coilovers for street use. I have a 05 Carrera in GT silver with Gen 2 Carrera s wheels. I bought it last year with 77k on it. I am the 4th owner. Its amazing how good the Base Carrera is! In your other video I noticed how You had a cayman before the 997. Did you not like the Cayman? I actually was thinking of buying a gen 2 Cayman S Just because of all the drama with the ims and boring scoring talk. My 997 was very well maintained from the previous owners and my Mechanic has only seen 3 ims issues on 996 in his 26 yrs..My ppi went well but i did not do a bore scope. if you don't mind would you share your thoughts? Thanks

      @@shughes911 I went with the B12 setup as I wanted something suited for spirited canyon drives and it actually lowered it more than I thought, but still manageable. Make sure you also swap out the strut mounts, bearings, and bump stops. Old rubber won't let you enjoy the benefits of the new dampers and springs.
      The 987.2 Cayman was a great car with better handling characteristics than the 997. I sold it after I was done getting it sorted and ready for the next adventure, but definitely loved the analog platform. Not having to worry about IMS issues is a big plus too. Recommend owning both as they're different driving experiences, but quintessentially Porsche is all the right ways.

      @@Kianski thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it! Ya that was my thoughts on the b12s . Just wanted to enhance the driving experience a little without killing the drivability. Oh and thx for the heads up on the rubber bits!

    Hey , Sorry another question. Did you add wheels spacers? thx again

    • @Kianski
      @Kianski  Год назад +1

      Negative, though they could use probably 5 mm for a perfectly flush setup.

      @@Kianski I was thinking of doing 5mm in the front but not sure with the rear?

      Looks great but I was thinking needs spacers too! I have 15mm rear and 7mm front on my narrow body 997.1 with lobster forks. How did you get that ride height?

    • @Kianski
      @Kianski  7 месяцев назад

      @lbrastaman spacers would make it better but I never got that far with it. I installed the Bilstein B12 kit which lowered it about an inch.
