Great video. Well done. Very professional. My Thai wife saw me looking at CT125's until I came across the PG1, which looks amazing. She liked it too. Big surprise, she bought me one for Christmas! I have really enjoyed it, on and off road, the fat tyres really make a big difference off road, and don't ruin the on-road front end agility. As you may have found, it's the perfect bike for Thailand, where the traffic flow is slower than the UK and the road surface can be bad. I haven't ridden the CT125, but I'm more than happy with PG1. It's such a pity that these bikes are not exported to the UK.
Great comparison, brother! Wish Honda brings the CT125 to the Philippines. It's a dream bike of mine. I'm aware of imported ones, but they're priced nearly double. Currently have a PG-1, and it's definitely a fun little machine. My favorite to-date, pretty customizable too. My first bike was a Wave/Innova125 which served me well, and is being used by my in-laws now.
We are the same back in the uk, We can get a CT125 but you need to pay twice its actual value for a imported one. Honda Need to help us all out and share the bike around the world! We want it!

To answer your question I would prefer the Honda Wave 125cc because it has a bench seat and is cheaper than the Honda CT-125.. I prefer the low down exhaust pipe for when I carry a pillion passenger. I used to ride a Honda Wave 125cc, the on road version of the bikes derived from the famous Honda Cub. I found starting the bike in second gear, it was faster than starting in first gear then changing to second. It became a 3 speed or 3 forward gears bike. First is only really needed on a very steep incline or with a heavy load. We ride the Honda ADV-150s with CVT transmission, under-seat storage and top boxes, that's a lot of luggage storage. Much more comfortable and so easy to ride. I highly recommend you hire and compare one with a Honda PCX-160. Both have their advantages.

My mechanic figures we can hit 14hp with one more mod which is nearly double the stock bike. Also have the yss fork inserts which helped with the suspension bounce and deflection of the front end whch you described in your video. It's a beast now and can climb hills like nothing now. Hi mate! I switched from my f650gs to ct125 this year because of a leg injury on a snowmobile last winter. And it turned to be a perfect substitute to a big adv bike. Made roughly 7000 km on it this season. Perfect.
I have a Honda Dax 125 which uses the same engine and gearbox, it’s a great little second bike and loads of fun. Maybe you could have a look at them, the only alternative is someone like Severn Seas motors which bring in either CC110’s or CT125’s used and register them for U.K. use.

As my second bike, I recently purchased a Yamaha XT600K, so no, I would not want to purchase either of these bikes if they were available in the first place. They both remind me very much of a Puch Maxi moped from the 80s, which was a very popular moped at the time. I did have a Yamaha FS1 moped at the time which did 80Km/h easily but illegally, since mopeds here in the Netherlands were restricted to 45 Km/h. So I was young infected by the Yamaha virus, I do not feel the need to choose between these two cute Off-Road bikes, but yeah, If I had to choose, it obviously was going to be the Yamaha PG-1.
0ne of my bikes , is a 125 Honda Innova / wave type step thru 9•3 hp . It has a similar engine with 4 speed rotary box & auto clutch . They auto clutch contains 3 shoes , that grab a couch drum , which in turn operate an inner standard type multi plate clutch . Once you get the hang of it , you can rev match & smooth out the down shifts , by clever use of the actual foot gear lever . I reckon the CT might be geared more for narley terrain & hills than Yamaha . The problem I have after riding my little Innova , is when getting back on a bike with a standard clutch & gear shift patten , I sometimes forget to pull in the clutch & stall my other bike . I reckon the 125 CT Honda would sell well in the U.K. , I would certainly buy one . 👍
@ I believe there is some place in the U.K. That will arrange for them to be imported in , at an increase cost . If Honda are still going to insist on not importing them into the UK , I am surprised Yamaha haven’t taken the opportunity to get one over on Honda , by bringing their version to the U.K. market .
@ I am not too sure , but I think a 125 only has to be fitted with either linked standard brakes, or at least only one ABS brake ,if not linked . There are a few of the new CT 125 ‘s that have been imported unofficially into the UK , & must of passed EU 4 of 5 regs to get registered legal to ride on UK & European roads . 👍
The short side stand on the Honda CT125 can be very handy in offroad situation, on uneven terrain sometimes a long sidestand could be problematic because the Bike will sit too much upright or you won't be able to put the side stand down at all.
Seems to be a bit too short on this one but admittedly it didnt fall over whilst we had the bike but it didnt feel like it would take much to knock it off its stand
I ride a Suzuki raider 150 in the Philippines and am thinking about getting the PG1 in the next few days. Luckily I found one available in the color I want in the dealer close to my house. Un-luckily I can't keep my Raider due to limited storage area. My only concern is the lower HP of the PG1 compare to the Raider. 9 vs 15.
It depends where you intent to ride it but we usually ride 1100cc bikes in the uk. These small bikes were plenty enough to keep up with and overtake traffic in Thailand. If you watch our Thailand videos youll see us using these doing good miles on them
Border road along side burma is worth doing and check out Choppers burger bar in Mai Sai, Tony has cool bike stuff, a lot of which he has made himself. I did mention this before in your last vid, but the comment seemed to have dissapeared!

Ct honda always been pricey. Even old ct hold value youll see them sellin for 3500 ebemthough its like a 1975 model or something crazy its had like 3 engines on the chassis. To me i thought the yellow triangle piece that is on the side of tbe headlight was going to be plastic but to my suprised it appears to be a caste piece 😂 I mean damn its a solid solid piece.
Great video. But if it doesn't have a clutch lever, it should have a brake lever in that place. I'm thinking wrong? ( I'm saying this because I really like the feeling of my Vespa brakes witch are hand levers)
Hi Andrew Like you i started riding later than some. I was also a little unsure of what size engine should I go for. During my search i considered the following. My height and weight Commuting, touring and fun ride capabilities Will i take a pillion 1 or 2 years down the road My experience Dont forget if you are not in the position to buy outright you have to live with your choice for a few years to come. The last thing you want is to regret your choice. Im sure you have reservations over size but dont worry it's not as difficult to ride a big bike as people say My first bike was a Tracer 900. I then purchased a Multisrada 1200 Its your choice obviously but i wouldnt buy anything under 800cc. Regards mark Ps take a look at Bike sure they are very reasonable for new riders .
I think that transmission is the same one Honda uses on the Super Cub 125 bike which is available in the UK. Maybe you could give that a go when you get back home.
Just watch your latest release. Yamaha v. Honda had a look on a few websites the Yamaha do a custom pg1 scrambler which looks absolutely mean. Be interested to see after a week or so what you think about them. And yes it's a shame they we can't get them for the UK. It would be fun racing one of them around?.
I would go for the Honda just because it’s that lovely orange colour, but as you notice the bar between the two seats would bother me as I would have to sit right on that bar to work the gears, I have here in uk the rebel cmx500 and had to get a all in one seat and forward controls , but the saving on the Yamaha is good but I would prefer to pay the extra for the Honda metal mudguard and colour.
Yamaha clearly cheaped out to try to steal sales. The trail 125 a 5k bike. Yamaha used a lot of cheaper stuff and left features out to have a somewhat similar model but mkre affordable. I just think tbe trail 125 costs a little more probably a pretty penny but when you get the pad and pen out and tally up how its got key features and its well buttoned down its a bike that decended from so much r&d cost over so many decades.
Hi guys. I’m not sure if I’ve missed an episode but did you actually stay over in Chiang Mai? I’ve just been looking at doing a tour next year with a company but for a week it’s about £1600. That’s without flights etc. I think they are based up that way . I guess it’s a lot cheaper to rent a bike a do your own thing like you guys
Wow that sounds expensive! It’s very cheap in Thailand, hotels will cost you £10-15 a night, food a meal is a couple quid to a fiver per person…. What’s the £1600 for?
@ hi. It’s for 7 days bike hire , hotel for 7 nights plus food and drink?( not sure how much drink ). Not looked into how much bike hire would be though but even if you said £100 a day for everything that’s only £700 for the week ? 🤷🏻♂️
It’s not for me bud, besides it being very expensive I just don’t like being told when I’m going and where I’m stopping, especially with a group. We never have any real plan when we travel, just save locations on your Google maps you’d like to see and then join the dots when you’re here… If you have a planned tour what you have been told will happen is what you’ll see. If you have no plan… you will have an adventure!
I'm cheap, so I'd go for an Aveta Ranger Max 130 lololl. Would be nice to hear an opinion on it as a westerner if you have access to it for rantal somehwere.
@@ontheroadadventure I know you're replying for the engagement, but nonetheless, it's an interesting bike for the market. Think manufactured in Malaysia and also sold in Indonesia, Thailand Vietnam (generally south east asia). Came cross it while looking at small cc bikes. An indonesian youtuber uses it offroad regularly on some offroad clay and gravel dirt trails with some deep ruts and stream crossings. Seems pretty decent. Has the same autoclutch. If you have time while there, might be worth a little ride just to see what's available.
Yes these are much better machines! A world apart from the scooters, but sadly we can’t afford to rent these cool bikes for a long time so the scoots are waiting for us like a bad smell when we have to return these
@ontheroadadventure or possibly, the 'emissions standards' can't be met. It's ridiculous if that's the case. Can't see the CT 125 being more polluting than a bus or truck 🤔
I can't justify 125,000 Baht for a 125CC bike. I just bought a Triumph Speed 400 for 30,000 Baht more. If you want a small CC bike for a runabout, get a used MSX. I picked one up with 800 miles on it for 23,000 Baht. Other than the smaller wheels, it's far more like a real motorcycle having a clutch and manual transmission. Aftermarket parts are everywhere for cheap including engine kits to increase the CC and power. I installed a 157CC kit because I like to tinker with bikes. Give the MSX a try in Thailand.
The grom is cheaper because ita a worse bike. Sure the manual clutch is a more motorcycle emthusiasts feature but to me the trail 125 is a pricey buy in for a 125 but its no regualr 125. The pg1 has a lower build quality in many aspects. The trail is well rounde dit has no halogen bulbs all LED. Jt has skid plate factory and center stand factory. Abs standard and i thin grom its an option. Kickstart. Luggage rack. Trust me where i live the big wheels make a differemce. The grom wheels are handy and cheaper a bit sure but man the big wheel makes potholes and offroad way more tolerable. You could buy an xr150 for less new but its not as good of a bike the trail 125 has good blinker housings. Xr150 has bigger engine by 25cc but its not made in thailand engine in japan. Front wheel abs. The grom has a plastic front fender if you look into it bro its a much cheaper bike you pay 4k new for one and for only 1k more you get a way more unique bike. And ngl I kinda like the trick centrifigul automatic clutch its got. I am a enthusiast minded type i like a.hand operated clutch for finer control bjt the trail 125 they did it very well so its super easy to go very slow and one handed 😂
(12:50) the Honda, here goes for just over 5K, and the Yamaha is offered at 1,800.00, but after fee's, I expect the price to be about 2500.00. here in the US we have what's called the Trans American trail. over 4300 miles of off-road adventure. and two guys just did the route of CT125's, it took them 28 solid days of riding. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_America_Trail

I just leave mine stock for the best reliability its a 125. If i want 250 buy klx300 but i dont want to pay 7500 for a bike that has noo luggage rack and worse mpg. Man im living 120+ mpg
I like both of them, But with my daddy long legs (* 36" inseam) & Body weight., I'd have to walk it up hills. Body building has it's disadvantages 6'4" tall and 290 lbs
from new zealand,,,,my only complaint is the hard seat on my ct,,ive put forward foot pegs on the crash bar witch changes the angle of my ass when it gets sore and i can stretch my lags out
Sadly it takes money to make money, you’d need to invest a good few quid so buy up a few of these and ship them all home and pay taxes on them before needing to register them and get them v5’s before they could be sold
How long have you been riding in Thailand already? And you still haven't twigged that Thais ride far to the left of the lane. Why is that important? Because it means oncoming traffic NEVER expects a bike to be close to the middle lines, and OFTEN crosses over them - killing foreigners who aren't aware enough to ride the way locals do. Ditto for riding two-abreast.
Riding in the hard shoulder not only puts you in all the crap at the side of the road increasing the chance of puncture but also reduces visibility of the full road ahead. It places you in the firing line of each junction joining and exiting the road too. We have also noticed that other Thai riders go very slowly, is this to save fuel? This does mean that we are faster riding than others so we are more comfortable riding in the road
@@ontheroadadventure You just don't get the need to adjust to local customs and traditions. As well as routinely crossing over the centre lines, Thais coming up fast from behind NEVER expect to find a two-wheeler in the middle of the lane. Your conceit sets you up for becoming a statistic.
Ok first negative comment on one of your posts ever but I’m going to say it as I find it!! They are both PLUG UGLY 🤷♂️ the scooters were more interesting and that’s saying something 🤣🤷♂️

I’ve always liked Yamaha too, I’ve never had one let me down
Absolutely 💯 👍
👍
I like the Honda the best I love the yellow
Picking a colour would bring a whole new problem! They all look great
Thanks for the review...ill go for the PG-1 as its available here...😂
A good choice, both great bikes
Good review of the bikes! The Honda CT125 sells for between $3,600 -$4,000 here in the US.
Are they popular there? People want them?
@ontheroadadventure
Yes, they are popular here in the USA. They are sold as Trail125.
Take a look at Motorcycle Travel Channel on RUclips. Stirling rides a Trail 125 around the trails and mountains of Arizona…..
We think they are great 👍
Awesome! We would love that!
Very sophisticated intro! I can't wait to see Rich throw that Yamaha in the bushes. 😂
Haha no clutch to grab when the bike was at the top of the back wheel 😂
@ontheroadadventure I'm sure that's pretty common to happen. You were probably like "fkn hell" 😂
Ahh it’s all fun and games with such a small bike, no harm done 👍
They seem to be really wanted in the uk but Honda stand firm and won’t or are unable to sell them there for one reason or another
@ I believe there is some place in the U.K. That will arrange for them to be imported in , at an increase cost . If Honda are still going to insist on not importing them into the UK , I am surprised Yamaha haven’t taken the opportunity to get one over on Honda , by bringing their version to the U.K. market .
I don’t think either of them meet the euro standards, the Yamaha has no ABS at all, Honda only on the front I believe
I’m not sure how it works, do they have to be in a Q plate?
They are unavailable in France which is a real shame. I'd buy the Honda in an instant because you now it's a utility bike for life.
You cant buy these from Honda anywhere in Europe i Believe but there are some here as people import them.
Good review. 👍
Thank you, great to have you with us 👍
The short side stand on the Honda CT125 can be very handy in offroad situation, on uneven terrain sometimes a long sidestand could be problematic because the Bike will sit too much upright or you won't be able to put the side stand down at all.
Seems to be a bit too short on this one but admittedly it didnt fall over whilst we had the bike but it didnt feel like it would take much to knock it off its stand
Easy to buy a plastic foot to attach to the side stand
@@specialized500 need a nice thick one and that would help that allot 👍
I ride a Suzuki raider 150 in the Philippines and am thinking about getting the PG1 in the next few days. Luckily I found one available in the color I want in the dealer close to my house. Un-luckily I can't keep my Raider due to limited storage area. My only concern is the lower HP of the PG1 compare to the Raider. 9 vs 15.
It depends where you intent to ride it but we usually ride 1100cc bikes in the uk. These small bikes were plenty enough to keep up with and overtake traffic in Thailand. If you watch our Thailand videos youll see us using these doing good miles on them
The engine in the CT is the most popular motorised engine in history. Comes from the 60’s. It’s a C50, C90, C100 decedent 😊
If it aint broke....
Border road along side burma is worth doing and check out Choppers burger bar in Mai Sai, Tony has cool bike stuff, a lot of which he has made himself. I did mention this before in your last vid, but the comment seemed to have dissapeared!
Thanks we will look it up. Odd things happen in the comments some times, RUclips will decide it’s inappropriate I think and removes it
Thanks gor the reviews. Cool little bikes. I would like the honda. But its not on the market in Germany.
No it’s not sold throughout Europe as far as I know
Love my CT125. Thriving community in UK. Yamaha looks fun , but the CT cub lineage makes it unbeatable, IMO
We both Agree, even though in some respects we prefer the Yamaha PG-1, We both agree we would buy the Honda CT125
@ontheroadadventure Great video BTW
I watched Adam Reimanns latest video and I believe he stayed at one of your earlier bed and breakfast stops... small world 😂😂👍👍
Yes he was in the jungle! Not as extreme as our scooters though 😉
@@ontheroadadventure yah.... he's got nothing on you guys, plus your unsupported., and the way you owned the jungle he could learn a thing or two from you guys 🤣🤣🤣
Haha I wish we had his skills on a T7 though! What a playground he has in his back yard for adventure bikes
Cant find a pg1 to buy anywhere love the review
Apparently there’s a scrambler version of it available too!
I’d like the Honda ! To me it’s a better looking bike 👍🏼
You and me both!
Love the CT125 also look at Dax125
I have a review video on the Dax in the uk 👍
Gotta be the CT all day. Just had quick look on the flea bay, they go for about 4k and up.
Yes a few are imported to the uk and sold at twice their actual value
@@ontheroadadventure yep just another case of rip off Britain..... For 2-2.5 k would be worth thinking about one, if for nothing other than shits and giggles..... 😂🤣
Would probably last you a long time though!
Yes even the front mudguard is metal, one tough bike
I prefer the old 60s 70s honda CT's but I have Yamaha AT1B AT2 AT3 and two DT125E in my collection 😁😎
Your spoilt for choice!
Whar did you do with the other scooters?
Left them at the hire shop where we collected the new ones
@@ontheroadadventure I thought that but wasn't sure. They will probably hire those out too lol
Best of luck to him 😂
@@ontheroadadventure 😆 🤣 😂
Great video. But if it doesn't have a clutch lever, it should have a brake lever in that place. I'm thinking wrong? ( I'm saying this because I really like the feeling of my Vespa brakes witch are hand levers)
That would make sense to me too
Hi Andrew
Like you i started riding later than some. I was also a little unsure of what size engine should I go for. During my search i considered the following.
My height and weight
Commuting, touring and fun ride capabilities
Will i take a pillion 1 or 2 years down the road
My experience
Dont forget if you are not in the position to buy outright you have to live with your choice for a few years to come.
The last thing you want is to regret your choice.
Im sure you have reservations over size but dont worry it's not as difficult to ride a big bike as people say
My first bike was a Tracer 900.
I then purchased a Multisrada 1200
Its your choice obviously but i wouldnt buy anything under 800cc.
Regards mark
Ps take a look at Bike sure they are very reasonable for new riders .
I think this landed on that wrong video?
I think that transmission is the same one Honda uses on the Super Cub 125 bike which is available in the UK. Maybe you could give that a go when you get back home.
I think our small bike experience will be done when we return to our adventure bikes
Awesome I need to check that one out
I would go for the Honda just because it’s that lovely orange colour, but as you notice the bar between the two seats would bother me as I would have to sit right on that bar to work the gears, I have here in uk the rebel cmx500 and had to get a all in one seat and forward controls , but the saving on the Yamaha is good but I would prefer to pay the extra for the Honda metal mudguard and colour.
The beauty of the Honda is it is so customisable so all these things are possible
I do like little yellow Honda I bet they would sell in the uk
Everyone seems to want one
They do look cool. Seems the Honda has ABS too (but not the Yamaha)?
You ought to set up an import business! These would sell well in the UK.
If we had spare money to do so we would be tempted to do so!
We have to agree, it would be the Honda for the win for us if we were to buy…
Soft seats ate not necessarily more comfortable than harder seats especially over long distances . Many other factors to take into consideration
For me the Yamaha seat was harder but definitely more comfortable to me
I’ve got a 900 street twin but would love a ct 125
It’s such a fun little bike it’s hard not to want one
Think the yamaha dash is more user friendly and fuel gauge is nice and clear
We agree with you and the gear indicator is helpful
It’s called Thai Bike tours based in Chiang Mai
It’s not for me bud, besides it being very expensive I just don’t like being told when I’m going and where I’m stopping, especially with a group. We never have any real plan when we travel, just save locations on your Google maps you’d like to see and then join the dots when you’re here… If you have a planned tour what you have been told will happen is what you’ll see. If you have no plan… you will have an adventure!
Not my thing I don’t think. I’d just book your flights and hire a bike when you arrive, there’s bike hire shops in all the big towns
Ritch & Ewa the super bike gears go that way brum brum lol
It’s so hard to get your head round! I keep getting it wrong
How does it feel moving from seat storage to a top box?
Makes no difference to us, top box is very convenient
I'm cheap, so I'd go for an Aveta Ranger Max 130 lololl. Would be nice to hear an opinion on it as a westerner if you have access to it for rantal somehwere.
I can’t say we have heard of it
@@ontheroadadventure I know you're replying for the engagement, but nonetheless, it's an interesting bike for the market.
Thanks il look it up. Riding or seeing bikes we don’t have in the uk is a luxury of travel we try to experience 👍
Can get the honda ct125 in the UK I've got one
There are a few people importing them, are they on a Q plate when imported?
I was going to buy the PG-1 but non of the dealerships nearby have it. And I ended up with the XSR155 😅
Ohh amazing bike, we have in the uk the 125, 700 and 900 all fantastic choices!
I use to race motorbikes and still ride bikes.Ive never understood why you need a gauge to tell you what gear your in. ?
The gearbox is upside down on these, it’s so easy to do 1st to 4th etc
That is more like it you two. Excellent it will make you feel a bit more confident
with the wheels being bigger than smarties .
Yes these are much better machines! A world apart from the scooters, but sadly we can’t afford to rent these cool bikes for a long time so the scoots are waiting for us like a bad smell when we have to return these
Honda CT125 for me, however, I would be doing quite a few upgrades. Curious as to why they are not sold here in the UK.
That’s the beauty of the CT125 the modifications are endless and I’d buy it for that reason too I think
Honda is probably busy trying to meet demand for the huge markets like usa india
Maybe so, they can’t keep up with demand 🤷♂️
@ontheroadadventure or possibly, the 'emissions standards' can't be met. It's ridiculous if that's the case. Can't see the CT 125 being more polluting than a bus or truck 🤔
Far too many rules in the uk I believe we are at euro 6 compliance rules now!
I'm flip-flopping both cool. I would probably buy the Honda at the end of the day, but the Yamaha has good points also 🥴
Both very cool we think!
We called those bikes step throughs in Oz.
They use them for postie bikes
I think that both bikes would sell in truck loads if they were on sale in the UK.
Without a doubt, I think it’s Euro regs that stop them getting to us
Look at you two go! You can get a lot of fuel for £600, or customising stuff. Yamaha for me; I'm not bothered by the name.
That’s a fair point well made 👍
i like both but i think it would be the honda
It just looks cooler and has more mod options I think
I can't justify 125,000 Baht for a 125CC bike. I just bought a Triumph Speed 400 for 30,000 Baht more. If you want a small CC bike for a runabout, get a used MSX. I picked one up with 800 miles on it for 23,000 Baht. Other than the smaller wheels, it's far more like a real motorcycle having a clutch and manual transmission. Aftermarket parts are everywhere for cheap including engine kits to increase the CC and power. I installed a 157CC kit because I like to tinker with bikes. Give the MSX a try in Thailand.
Oh yes I know this bike we have the grom in the uk, I owned the Benelli TNT which is very similar to
The grom is cheaper because ita a worse bike.
I justified it
I have to agree in that I really miss having full control of my bike via the clutch lever
I can definitely see the appeal
Rich & Ewa My triumph is fully loaded so i know what you mean i would go Honda
Honda for the win!
It seems that the Yamaha is sliping a Wohle lot more then the Honda when you are shifting gear.
We think overall the quality of the PG-1 is not quite the same as the Honda CT125
@@ontheroadadventureI got the same feeling as I saw your review. Thanks for a great review.
Over here Honda ct125 cost 2 times more than Yamaha pg-1. Maybe ct125 have more spec like ABS etc.
Yes it’s expensive in the uk due to the import costs
(12:50) the Honda, here goes for just over 5K, and the Yamaha is offered at 1,800.00, but after fee's, I expect the price to be about 2500.00. here in the US we have what's called the Trans American trail. over 4300 miles of off-road adventure. and two guys just did the route of CT125's, it took them 28 solid days of riding. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_America_Trail
Now that sounds like allot of fun! We have the TET in Europe
@@ontheroadadventure Yes, another young couple just finished doing it on fan fan 200's "Olie and Lavi" & the just became the youngest to travel around the world by motorcycle
Yes we follow those guys! Van vans are cool little bikes that too will go anywhere
I can see two personal imports coming!! 😂.
The reality is they would make fun second bikes for sure but would they get much use if we had our own bikes?
I use both of mine!! Potter locally on the 400x anything further on the Multistrada. Go on you know you want to 😂😂
There’s always a reason da new moto for the garage 😂
I’d love a ct why oh why not imported here
We think it’s the euro compliance rules that stop it being sold in Europe
@@ontheroadadventureyeah but you can have a tdv8 cylinder diesel Range Rover and A 5.0 mustang, much cleaner than the 125😂
I am 62 years old and 1.9 meters tall (about 6 ft 2). Would either of these bikes suit a big old chap like myself. I did not like that Hands seat and I am not too keen on the position of the exhaust. Enjoy Chiang Rai.
The Yamaha has much better leg room I think, the bench style seat allows you to sit further back comfortably
Honda all the way! Buy a Honda 125 cub in the Uk and customise it??
They are cool second bikes but not good for our needs and upcoming long distance travels
The honda is better for the road and off-road the it's only needs some changes the Thai like honda bikes you see honda everywhere
Yeah Honda is known for reliability so you can see why it sells so well
(19:20) Honda has a 181cc upgrade.
It would have to be done! 👍
I just leave mine stock for the best reliability its a 125. If i want 250 buy klx300 but i dont want to pay 7500 for a bike that has noo luggage rack and worse mpg. Man im living 120+ mpg
That is cheap motoring!
Yamaha for me, not that i would buy any of the little bikes as i travel mainly two up.
Fair enough, you definitely need one each at this size
Probably only been the last 20 years that the dash tells you what gear you’re in, how do you think us old blokes got on??😂
lol, These upside down gear boxes really mess with your head 😂
The Honda.
A tough choice but I think we agree
This is the guy that just finished the TAT on the CT 125 www.youtube.com/@SomeGuyRides, he can give you a great review on the CT125
Sounds like a right adventure
I always go for Honda. It is nice to go off road with it. In the 70's the slogan was, Happy with Honda.❤
They say you meet the nicest people on a Honda!
I like both of them, But with my daddy long legs (* 36" inseam) & Body weight., I'd have to walk it up hills. Body building has it's disadvantages 6'4" tall and 290 lbs
Yeah this one’s not for you lol
from new zealand,,,,my only complaint is the hard seat on my ct,,ive put forward foot pegs on the crash bar witch changes the angle of my ass when it gets sore and i can stretch my lags out
Ah yes the highway pegs would be a great addition
If after a week, you find them good, bring them back and you have a new business ?
Sadly it takes money to make money, you’d need to invest a good few quid so buy up a few of these and ship them all home and pay taxes on them before needing to register them and get them v5’s before they could be sold
@@ontheroadadventure Understood
@@paulreynolds2898 I think there are one or two people doing it in the uk though there’s a seller on eBay with a good few of them for sale
Maybe you can find one to try like we did for a few days, a great way to test out the bike without commiting to buying one
Ok first negative comment on one of your posts ever but I’m going to say it as I find it!! They are both PLUG UGLY 🤷♂️ the scooters were more interesting and that’s saying something 🤣🤷♂️
Oh wow! We thought they were really cool! Don’t worry though we will have a laugh for a few episodes with them and the mighty scooters will be back for a short time. Then none of us can wait for the big bikes to be back!!
I'm for PG 1.....❤
And 25 percent cheaper than the CT125
A Suzuki VanVan 125 would probably be better than both of those!
A bike choice, very good comfortable bikes that will too go anywhere! And you can buy a 200cc version
Personally, I'd go for the Honda, just because I think it looks better. But I'm a little bit biased because I already own a 43 year old Honda ct110 postie bike....😊
We have to agree I think.. the Honda wins this one
Yamaha machines excel in reliability than honda.
Statistically I believe you are right
