If you havent already, it would be worthwhile going to the trainer near the traning arena in Ratay and learning the master strike (the thing the second guys was doing to you in the duel) it can help and even trivalize some combat in the game.
one thing that should help you in kcd is wait for your stamina/yellow bar to be about half till you attack it helps with taking hits and hitting them back
@suatiamaio6168 yeah that's definitely something that takes getting used to. How your stamina also acts as your defense in a way. I just learned master strikes, so that should help some too.
Me with over well over 500 kills notched on my belt, full set of Lords of Leipa armor (tourney champion), St George’s Sword, thinking I can take on the world, and a group of peasants jump from the bushes and beat me to death with hoes and shovels. 10/10 medieval rpg experience.
