I think I need to introduce you to my son, he has a Buick Regal with a 5.3 LS with a turbo pushing out 1000 house running on E85. It's not tube and has been 9.76 @150 on street tires with 21 lbs boost.
It looks like you're going to have to redesign that intercooler. Apparently it's not flowing enough air and is building to much back pressure causing it to keep blowing out.
Not a fan of Mopar "More Parts" But very nice Clay. I like my FORD. You know like the old 427 SOHC that NASCAR banned and many top fuel NHRA used back in the day.

Wasn’t much tuning done or needed. The crack appeared in the intercooler when we were about to turn it up. That’s when the real tuning would have started.
Clay That was a day at the dyno for sure. i'm sure that you'll get the intercooler figured out, maybe ask some of the folks you know to re-engineer the intercooler. BTW was that crack on the inlet side? As always thanks for taking us along
Thought we explained that we were on 93 octane and only 7lbs of boost. It shouldn’t make a 1000 at 7lbs. We added race gas and were about to up the boost and shoot for that 1000 when we busted the intercooler and that prevented us for turning it up.

It’s not an eBay intercooler and it’s not the intercooler that broke it is what we added to it. Also I am very happy with 685 horsepower on pump gas at 7lbs of boost. How much power does your truck make at 7lbs ?

We estimate after trying to weigh it on two different set of scales it’s about 5200 lbs

It was cracked on the outlet side of intercooler.
@@claymillican25 you may want to take a couple of pieces of .090 aluminum and tie front side to the back side of the outlet plenum in 3 spots.

It is a TCI turbo 400 with a GearVendor. This truck originally had a 5.7 non vvt in it. Now it has a Arrington Performance 426” and it is non VVT
