Very cool love all your vids. But what was the compression ratio of this build? it looks fairly stock, so knocking? Does that fuel and intercooler compensate that much? No mention of dish pistons or cometic gaskets?
Cometic gaskets only lower compression if ordered in a custom thickness. E85 makes a huge difference as does the intercooler. Even with modern compression ratios though you can usually boost anything as long as the tune is right even with pump fuel and boost settings conservative-ish. I've got a Japanese motor originally designed for boost with 8.5:1 stock. With an air to air intercooler we could still run 15 psi on pump fuel when we upped the compression to 10:1 for e85. It did have longer duration cams which brings the dynamic down . I've not turboed as many modern motors but have turboed stock motors in the 9's compression ratio up to twenty pounds with air to air intercoolers on pump fuel. Some with iron heads! Once my s13 comes back from the panel beaters and now the motos re assembled after the 10k pull down check its had were hoping 30-40 psi of boost and won't have ping issues on pump e85.

Personally I blame squirrels
How do you think twin gt35's would work on this? Say round 10 to 15 lbs of boost? Ring gap and all of course
Or would maybe 66/62's with .70 ar? 800 wheel shouldn't be an issue. When do I have to worry bout pistons? I stay under 1000 I safe?
would work fine
Do you have plans for the Quad 4? Did you buy it?
I did not but should have
@@richardholdener1727 I’ve always wanted to see what they’re capable of.
Those Comp turbos are terrifying. Oilless design? A grease nipple and an aluminum center section?
The "80mm" turbo they say is a 4508 design. The compressor is 80x102mm and that's not a copy of any compressor I've seen. It's 62 trim and you almost never see trim that high on compressors this big. A T04z and Gt2860rs have them but they are quite a bit smaller. The turbine wheel looks about big s400 size, it's 96x88m. Strange, it's all strange.
Yeah but does it works tho?
this was not oil less
Can you make 1000hp reliable??
kt kn a stock bottom end but good rotating assembly, yes. mines ran for a year no issues with the engine yet. only my electronicz
Big bang Hemi please!
that video is up
How much timing at 16.2lbs and 1051hp ?
21
I'm turboed out . Love your videos but, what else you got.
Turbo fodder, yay, welcome to the turbo channel.
blower coming next
Is this a high compression hemi stroker?
NOT HIGH COMP
@@richardholdener1727 so I need help on picking the right turbo for my truck it’s a low compression forged 5.7 stroker 394 and I am looking to reach 1000hp at 5,500 above sea level. What size turbo would be good? I am running a D1sc ProCharger right now that can’t handle what I am trying to do. Thanks
What brand was the cam
comp & Crane
OMG... no no no Turbo... Supercharged is the way to go :-)
Boost is boost.
Why are you always just doing single turbo setups, go for twins!
there was more than enough flow from the single to do what we needed
