If a Player makes a mistake he gets yellow card and red card, based on that he has to pay fine. if umpires do mistake they dont get fine, BWF makes all rules to treat players like a slave, we love and enjoy badminton because of players, but the rules and fines are for players not for umpires and line judges, no fine, they can get away with any calls they make. when you work out so hard to reach to this level as player and umpires and line judges play foul like this intentionally/non-intensionally, the affected party is only the player, who put in all day and life of sacrifice to reach this level. i am with Lin Dan he did right, the world will now know how these Dumb umpires and Line Judges are getting away from these issues without any fine.
Com'on why can't they locate this match in court 1. as one should expect it is always a fine line difference between out and in with high level players (considering both are top players in the world) aim always on the line for their trained shots.
With Lin Dan past stupidity but honest reaction to judgement on lines even if it means he loses a point, he will defend it for his opponent. So can understand his frustration over the ill organized local systems in handling world class matches this year. indeed a disappointment even at this early stage. Maybe they should invest in putting "hawkeye" in the linesman instead of "cock-eyes" glasses. lol!

@@muhammadirfan305 Yes, while Lin Dan's action may be a bit much, it is still for a good reason. He did it to warn BWF on how players are being treated badly. Axelsen just jumped to conclusion, thinking that Lin Dan is a sore loser. He implied that Lin Dan was a shame to our sport for having poor sportsmanship. Don't shit the linesman, where the hawk eye? Why? This tournament not provide hawk eye? The highest paid Prime Minister in the world not afford to provide hawk eye for his own tournament in his country? What the fuck!!!
With the kind of experience Lin Dan have had,he should be able to cope with whatever line calls were made regardless of the judgement. He should show respect to the game and to his fans. To retire from the game because of bad line call is uncalled for. If its the pretext of injury he withdraws, that is pure ********! He's on the losing side and rather than face embarrassment of mauling from a former World Champion he choose to make an exit with the lamest possible excuse one would find on the planet. If he's injured he would not attempt to retrieve the shuttle which he think it was going out. And he showed no sign of injury in his movement in the rally nor in his movement after the match as he walk to the dressing room.He did not even call for medical assistant. BWF must investigate the matter.Period.
The problem was, there were multiple bad calls even before the last point. When you organize a tournament, especially for the top players, you need to have certain standards. It is a super 500 tournament, so at the very least, they should have Hawkeye. You shouldn't be inviting top players to participate when your tournament doesn't even meet the standards of the top players. This act by Lin Dan could be a message to BWF to treat players better. Clearly, you do not understand the situation. You cannot show respect to the game, when the game constantly tries to put you down. The lines judge was biased against Lin Dan, having called multiple bad calls. In addition, the umpire did not overrule the decision of the line judge, which added to Lin Dan's frustration. I personally feel that Lin Dan did the right thing.

The fact that they are conspiring against LD just for him to lose and u support it make u look like a sorry and pathetic ass. just stfu and stop humiliating urself. are you kidding me? you said it yourself, he has decades of experience playing on the highest level. you think he would retire just so he doesn't want to say that he lost to axelsen, but he hasn't won a title in 2 years prior to the malaysian open... so what makes you think he can't take a loss? he was injured; mentally injured from the garbage bias calls against him that were blatantly wrong. also, I wouldn't call 21-13 a "mauling". keep hating dumbass.
I still say that just because LD was not alloted to the centre court and due to some poor line calls was not enough good reason to feign injury. If he had mucle injury he should have called for medical assistant.
