  • Step by step method on how to release brake on EZGO Golf Cart. Specifically 48V EZGO RXV model golf cart. If the batteries are at a low voltage the electric brake can be released by turning cart to "Tow" mode and then remove the passenger side cover that has the run/tow switch located on it. Remove cover, and locate the red plugs labeled 1/2 and 3/4. Reverse order by plugigng 1 to 3 and 2 to 4. This will release the brake and the cart can be moved. Be sure to replace the plugs into the original order

My 2011 EZGo Rxv doesn’t have those connections. Any idea how to release my parking brake without those?

So does this mean that the electric break is bad and needs replacement?

@DeepcyclebatterystoreSanDiego I replaced my break. It was bad. But cart still doesn't drive. It does release the break if I swap the connectors tho. Long story short I took it to a shop and they saying that the computer modual needs to be remanufactured. Not sure if that'll help but I guess we'll see. Motor is good, breaks is good, wiring is good, selinoid is good, batteries are good. Last thing is the control module

@@JosephOsmak Time to do a system check first start with battery voltage
Next move to the solenoid. Make sure the voltage is coming in and out
Last would be to check the voltage at the controller
