maybe you can help on this another time i would like to try something in quest, that's have a Bluetooth controller connect it to quest create a unity project with a character now as I click the buetooh controller, the character walks, the faster I click then character run my idea is to create my own locomotion system where the Bluetooth controller will be wired to a physical shoe which the player wears , so as the player stamp his feet it initiate the clicks and cause the character ( player) to move in oculus . i want to try it with the cheap Bluetooth controller found in cardboard VRbox
Noticed that the edges of the lenses are always blurry so I had to focus my eyes straight ahead or lose clarity. I have Tourettes so keeping my eyes steady is a challenge. Anyway, is that normal for a r set? There is a workaround to needing a facebook account, but you won't have access to MP game sold on the official site.
@@JustinPBarnett So that means I have to keep my eyes still to see clearly. If you know anything about tourettes you know that is difficult for some suffers like me.
I'm going to do a few updated tutorial on hands now! One with purely hand tracking and another with updated tracking with the controller using procedural code instead of animations
I have an exisiting Rift account should i click on already have an oculus account to add my new quest 2 on play sore app when setting up instead of login to facebook as exisiting account already linked? ty
Absolutely! As long as you’re connected through the setup process and to download games. My internet actually went out for a few hours yesterday and I spend the time playing onward! Lol
Please redo your tutorials with Oculus Quest 2! I found it hard to follow other tutorials because you use a different headset, it is a real fragmented cluster f... in Unity/Quest dev. Right now
Great new video! I thing that the Quest 2 is indeed a great headset for it's money, BUT, what bother's me about the "Camera based" tracking is the occlusion, get the controllers behind your head and the tracking will fail, not so good if you have a backpack system where you need to grab behind the head :D Also, you are forced to have a Facebook account, that's a big No no for me, but yeah, i mean, 449 Euro for an all-in-one headset i think is OK? I mean, people still buy consoles for a similar price and doesn't get so immersed like with a VR headset. Maybe next time when you get to over 1000$ a month on Patreon you will try out the Valve Index? :D

Yea you have to have the lenses in the exact right spot for things not to be blurry

I’d say use your existing rift account but then also make sure to link your Facebook account (it probably is already tbh)

True, it's an inside-out tracking system, but you kinda have to have that for it to be a standalone device. Ya know?
