Here's how copyright works on music: Works created on or after January 1, 1978 are protected for 70 years after the death of the individual author. Where there are two or more individual authors, the term lasts for 70 years after the last surviving author’s death. For “works made for hire,” the term of protection is 95 years from publication or 120 years from creation, whichever date is earlier. Works created before but published or registered after January 1, 1978: The copyright term in these works is generally computed in the same way as for works created on or after January 1, 1978, provided that in no case would the term of such copyright expire before December 31, 2002, and for works published on or after that date, the term will not expire before December 31, 2047. Works created and published or registered before January 1, 1978: These works are generally protected for 75 years from the date the work was published with a copyright notice or on the date of the registration if the work was registered in unpublished form. For such pre-1978 copyrights still subsisting on October 27, 1998, Congress extended the term by 20 years, providing for a total term of protection of 95 years. Everything that doesn't fit that copyright criteria is considered public domain and can be used by anyone, for instance, Beethoven's music.
Not entirely true. Playing someone else's recording is infringing on the performer's rights. And the studio which recorded it. so, if you play Yo Yo Ma playing a cello sonata, there are a few ways to get snagged. I do a lot of digital transcribing. I use Sibelius with PhotoScore to scan scores, then add instrumentation in Logic Pro X. It's more of a hobby, because , yes, it is time consuming. But, I won't get snagged for any copyright issues. Lots of public domain music available, but many of the recordings are not.
Yeah, the guy that commented is correct, the original sheet music and performance rights are public domain, but any recordings of the performances from I believe 1942-now are copywriten and can’t be played without obtaining mechanical rights or performance rights for that specific use of the recording, unless it’s for educational purposes for that specific piece of music. Copyright law is really confusing sometimes. I took a number of courses in it and still don’t understand some things.

Really? I just got my vr and echo was the first thing I ever played on vr and i wasn't dizzy or anything. Hope you get to overcome it because it's fun to fly lol.
Yeah absolutely. I am not prone to motion sickness, and I generally do fine in games with smooth locomotion, but it is DEFINITELY disorienting the if you're not used to the feeling, and if your game is not running smoothly or the "smooth" locomotion isn't implemented well enough to be as "smooth" as necessary, then it can feel awful, even to people who don't typically get motion sickness. For me though, I've found that smooth camera movement with the right stick feels a lot worse generally than smooth locomotion does. I tend to PREFER that in most games because I have YEARS of muscle memory of using the right stick to look around and even when I can move my actual head around, it still feels the most intuitive for me, however it generally feels really bad in most games. The only exception to this is I've found is Half Life Alyx, which makes it's smooth camera option slow enough that even on lower framerates (if your PC isn't crazy powerful), it doesn't tend to feel too bad, at least to me. But yeah, teleportation is the most comfortable option at the expense of being by far the least immersive: nothing screams "I'M IN A VIDEO GAME, NOT A REAL SCENARIO!" like teleportin' around at the speed of light.

this is correct. You need to plug in your Q2 and open sidequest and run the allow 90hz script (download BMF's batch file it will do all the scripting for you). 7:14 i think the copyright law is that if 70 years has passed after the person has died, there wont be copyright on the music anymore. Beethovens music is like 200 years old.
You said you have one arriving on Sunday. That means you was browsing online for the device. You probably accepted cookies and data collection on the sites you were visiting and now ads are being tailored to you. It's normal. No your phone does not "listen" to you or use your voice to tailor ads. That's not how it works. It uses data like cookies to tailor specific ads to you. Exact same things happen on online devices that lack an audio input/microphone. CAN your phone listen to you? Of course, anything connected to the internet with a microphone built-in or attached can listen to you. But chances are, nobody is listening to your conversations. I'm sure the tech conglomerates have far more interesting individuals in mind when it comes to data farming. No offense, of course. I'm not very interesting myself. Most of us are not. But yeah. You're not being spied on lol.
I have 2 kids so I bought 2 oculus quest 2 units. Do I have to buy the same game twice, one for each oculus? Or is there a way to buy the game and install it on both units?
Does anyone know how to "tab" back into a game/app? I tried using voice commands and it brought me back to the home environment, but I couldnt figure out how to tab back into the game after without restarting the app, using the bmbf for beatsaber mods so its a pain to relaunch every time.
I tried backing up and saving my data and on side quest I didn’t get any errors or anything but it didn’t give me my save data on my quest 2. If games weren’t supported, would it give you an error?
I own an original Quest and have tried the Quest II via my roommate, and while the experiences were both very satisfying, the underlying price one must pay (via Facebook) is not worth the loss of the little bit of remaining freedom & dignity we still have. 1.The fact that you can't use an alias to play video games is an abomination. 2. The fact that you are not allowed to have more than 1 Oculus gizmo on an account is abominable. 3. The fact that Facebook is relentlessly hunting down these 'infractions' and shutting down accounts because of such Nazi type demands for people who simply want to experience virtual video games should be protested to the nines. Once Facebook deletes your account, it (as they put it) is forever. BFD!!! SO....as much as I like my device, I let Facebook know exactly how I feel about their tyrannical stance in regards to their VERY unfriendly policies and have deleted my Facebook account. I encourage everyone to take a (peaceful) stand against such tyranny. Hopefully, someone will 'jailbreak' The Oculus and / or another company will come out with a VR device that's better and better for our continually disappearing freedoms, so please consider following my lead, making Facebook face-plant.

So everytime i use my Q2 i plug it in, turn it on, allow data transfer over usb (in the headset after you plug in usb to PC), then open the batch file from BMF, then you will have to shut off the screen and turn it back on (on the quest 2) then its finally in 90hz mode for games.
I have a question, I bought my quest 2 a couple days ago and I recorded a few videos of me playing some games snd when I go to share the messenger icon only pops up once and then I’m never able to share my video clips agsin to messenger, it only gives me Facebook or Facebook group options. How do I fix that?
Great content man! Btw I'm a Speech therapist. Just noticing you have some omissions of sounds/sound substitutions. Is English your second language or have you had speech therapy before?
@Harsh Reality What is a secondary therapist? Lol. I wasn't being rude at all, I complimented him on his work. This isn't even direct interaction.. that's face to face. How is this barging into people's lives? LOL. It's a RUclips comment. That's reality.
@@RobotechLdv I think they were trying to say that it's a little rude to basically just insinuate that someone has a speech impediment. Even if they probably do have a speech impediment lol. I guess you're both kinda right in a way.
@@HyenaFox I can see that. Didn't mean it with ill intention. I think he took it too personally or something. Might have also been some case of trolling based on his username.
@Harsh Reality pretty ironic screen name for someone who posts such sensitive comments...
@@HyenaFox he didn't even refer to it as an impediment. It was an observation. Some people literally look for ways to be offended and / or outraged.
I am not a proud user of the oculus quest two yet but I have high hopes that I will be getting it for Christmas though and I am so excited I watched this video so I could know what I’ve been looking up to and I think that I really want one and it’s really good I’ve never had a VR experience in my life but I am very excited the game I am most excited about to play is beat saber so see you in the virtual reality world hopefully!🙏
This guy thinks Beethoven gonna copy-strike him.
I was wandering if you can just plug the charging port into a pc or laptop and that will give access to the games and things instead of getting the link cable
It'll work with the charging cable. You just won't have the length to move around with the headset hooked up
This dude looks like the Most Chad Nerd ever
May I ask, can you cast to a Roku tv?? Because my entire family has Roku TVs and we all share my oculus quest 2 and take turns playing games but we like to watch so we gotta watch on my phone which is really blurry. 🙃👍
2:05 look at his hands and the in game controllers did he record at 2 separate times 😳
Bruh🤨😲😲🙄😲😲🙄🙄
Your right
7:14 i think the copyright law is that if 70 years has passed after the person has died, there wont be copyright on the music anymore. Beethovens music is like 200 years old.
Why am I getting ads of oculus quest 2 right when I mentioned it to my mom lol (mine is coming on Sunday :>)
because your phone listens to you abd collects data about you so it knows what to present to you
You said you have one arriving on Sunday.
Or is there a way to buy the game and install it on both units?
i cant begin to explain how helpfull this was lol
Where did you get the venom eyes? They look sick
This is exactly the kind of video I was looking for, great job
What cable did you use to connect the quest to the pc? Did you use the charger or do I have to buy a certain cable?
U can use ur charger if your pc has a usb c input, but if u want a longer one or your pc doesn’t have a usb c input, u can find ones online
pretty sure Beethoven isn't going to come back to the dead and sue you for copyright.... ;)
Chile...anyways so

RUclips nazies
Does anyone know how to "tab" back into a game/app? I tried using voice commands and it brought me back to the home environment, but I couldnt figure out how to tab back into the game after without restarting the app, using the bmbf for beatsaber mods so its a pain to relaunch every time.
i constantly hear someone flicking a joystick / scrolling a scroll wheel in the background
I tried backing up and saving my data and on side quest I didn’t get any errors or anything but it didn’t give me my save data on my quest 2. If games weren’t supported, would it give you an error?
Why hello, mr underrated
Getting my quest 2 in 6 days can't Wait!
W... Wo... Wow. I agree but, DARN. You could be a public speaker.
Thank you for this my quest 2 will be hear tomorrow and I can wait
who else is watching this on the Quest😂

edit: got it
*if I had one*
I’m getting a quest 2 soon and I am so excited. I can’t wait to play it
did you get it
@@jjjj-x9g ya I got it. One of the best investments I’ve made.
I’m hoping I get one for Christmas this year but if I’m gonna be honest I probably won’t end up getting it
9:20 you cant get copyrighted from something made more than a lifetime ago 🤣🤣
Beethoven's still alive. He's my neighbor. And he won't hesitate to personally visit RUclips in order to file a copyright claim.
@@livewireOrourke yeah, he is my neighbor too. HE IS TRIGGERED
Can I ask something and can u reply so I can know why do I get a headache when I play on the vr but like it’s when I take the vr off and not bc of the game or that I’ve been on to long tho
Any one else watching this even tho you don’t have a quest
@FatKidThatPlayz ಠ_ಠ Congrats, im getting mine on christmas
@@vuice6601 same bro
Getting mine soon, my cv1 cable died lmao
The passthrough mode on mine and guardian camera is extremely warped but its not all the time. And the top right corner is completely black on it. Do you know why or is it just mine

“If you are a proud owner of the oculus quest 2, continue watching this video”
Yeeeah, you and what army
Uuhhhh I don’t have the 90 Hertz option... It was like this when I bought it (from Oculus).
Has the option been removed?
Its enabled by default now
He looks like “you naughty naughty you teasing me you naughty naughty”
😂😂😂
I have been watching loads of videos about the oculus quest 2 and most of my friends have one and I just started saveing but in my opinion it will take a while to get it
Half of these aren’t even tips or tricks. All this does is show pre existing commonly know features.
It's still good to show someone who's new to vr, such as myself
Brand new to VR, didn't know most of these.
I just tried to find the 90Hz toggle under Experimental Features, but it's not available.
Does it mean that it's now the default?
