Of course, there are exceptions (say, a woman with low fertility becoming pregnant) but in these situations, if the chances are astronomically low that you won a flat screen tv by sitting on your ass and liking an instagram post, it is absolutely too good to be true.

I've gotten this exact scam commented on my comments in channels of Game Theory, Daniel Greene, and even Charlotte Dobre have been getting people pretending to be her to the point that she decided to "scam the Scammer" with one of her videos. RUclips really needs to actually do something as it's hurting creators overall. and I've tried reporting them but there's not much I can do but to do only that and bring awareness that it's happening. Hopefully this video brings out more of the awareness of this being an issue.

    1) they would use the same profile (check if clicking the profile links to the main channel you were just on)
    2) they would pre- announce the competition (they don't do this - nay, CANNOT do this - out of sheer liking for fans, they also use this for publicity. Doing a giveaway in secret or without fanfare doesn't help them. )
    3) they usually don't do it on RUclips(not a hard and fast rule, just a common thing. )

    The first red flag would be in the first message. Me winning anything. JK, the first red flag is almost always the bad writing. If Telegram, scammer central, wasn't enough. Scammers usually don't structure sentences correctly, or they make spelling mistakes. Like this guy, almost every word having a capital first letter, and not putting space after commas. When its an actual giveaway by a professional, they try to write these "you won" bits neater. xD
    Also cmon, I don't even care if you're in the same city as me, the package is not gonna reach me by tomorrow. lmao
    As obvious as it might be to most, unfortunately some people do fall for this, otherwise the scammers wouldn't keep doing it.
    In conclusion, fuck scammers.

    (0:54) OMG!! That also happened with Charlotte like 2 days ago!! The exactly mesage to her fans!! She made a video scamming the scammer, where she called the scammer herself! It was hilarious!! But, on another note, that's very creepy and dangerous, they did something similar to me in the MrBallen channel saying that I should contact some weirdo on telegram and that he was referring me for a prize, but it was a fake account...

    On the topic of scammers, on tiktok smaller genshin creators sometimes do small giveaways for welkin or even genshin account giveaways. I myself once tried entering one. But like in the video there are shockingly scam accounts that sometimes look pretty legit. It’s harder to tell with smaller creators since they are not as well known and usually can’t exactly be verified, and sometimes these accounts are made on the same day or a day after so they look almost too believable

    11:40 I work as a web developer for a company that provides sports game results to the public. We have developed several automated algorithms that pull data from different sources and combine it into our own database. This saves a lot of work that would otherwise have taken many employees and many hours to achieve.
    Whoever stole over 300 drawings may as well have just programmed some automate that gets the images, titles, descriptions and such and then creates NFTs. Possibly even publishing them at a predetermined interval.

    I've received multiple replies like these on different popular youtuber's videos, and I can pretty easily tell they're fake but I'm an adult whose been on the internet for years and its definitely not as easy for younger people to realize right away that its sus :( it sucks that there's people out there who dedicate their time to scam the unaware and vulnerable.

    correct me if im wrong, but on youtube, if the creator of a video replies to or likes a comment, doesn't their pfp appear next to it or say " this many replies from "creator" and others"? On other social media platforms, there is the verified icon to help prevent things like this, too.

  • @sablemoreno5095
    @sablemoreno5095 Год назад

    I mean, a good way to check to is if they like your comment, you'll get a "your comment was ❤️ by the creator" type thing and itll show up after the fact on your comment/other's comment.
    And any comment from the channel to another comment has the creator's circle image next to the number of replies if it doesn't have that then it's not the creator.
    Also good note that was mentioned: if there's "telegram", "whatsapp" or anything other than the channel's name you know its fake. It's a bit harsh to say, but if you can't check the barest thing of a channel name available on the video/post/short you commented on (or generally know what the channel names you comment on are) you're likely getting manipulated or tricked offline as well and should take time to learn online safety as well as other ways to not walk right into scams
