Thank you so much for the help the shuffle step tip really helped me soo much. One drill that I use is practicing footwork with a ladder and then transitioning to facing a shot. Thank you! White size 9or8 America New York 🇺🇸
Yes, ladder drills are good too. But sometimes, the movement just becomes so robotic somehow. But hey, I do ladder drills all the time... so keep doing that!

Hey man!
First off, I've registered you for the competition and good luck 🙏
But your height, that's not really something you can do anything about. You just need to use what you're really good at and work on your jump height and footwork. Don't focus on things you can't control. Start working hard, and in a couple of years, show them that they were wrong to put you into any category! Many, many successful goalkeepers are short, but they use this to their advantage, f.x. being quick, explosive, reflexes.
Focus on what you can control, forget the rest! That's my advice

Yeah, most of us have, unfortunately. But as I say in the video, we don't want to be falling into the trap of cross stepping all the time either.

As for techniques, recently I was watching your high diving tutorial but I was not able to understand how to land properly, probably because something I was missing, but I feel like with the technique you mentioned, there might be risk of breaking your wrist?
Go out and test it for yourself. Obviously start slow and raise the level step by step, but you'll soon notice that this technique is very, very safe. As soon as my lower hand touches the ground, I turn my hand around and make sure that I don't land on my elbows (or knees). I've played on elite for 20 years and I haven't had any wrist breaks (or injuries from diving☺️)

I still have to (obviously) start high diving, but I do get injured quite a lot, probably bad technique on my behalf, but my goal this season is to perfect my high dives to the point that they become instinctive. Anyways, thank you for the prompt replies. Keep up the channel!
@@MrSmartTutorials Exactly, and the only way to do that is to start training (and obviously learn from tutorials). And don't think that me or any other goalkeeper wete born with these techniques/skills, they are trained and honed so much (close to every day) through so many of years that this is the most natural thing in tje world.
But everone (also Neuer, Ter Stegen, Buffon) have to start somewhere - you got this mate 💪

I posted my pre-pre-season gym training program on the channel. I also have a goalkeeper specific conditioning program which is great (instead of "running") and that I personally use.
I've been involved for the last 10 or so years and I'm coaching 15 upwards but as you can imagine football isn't the biggest sport over here and I'm from the uk so I've been trying to help with local teams basically from my experience of being a keeper in my junior days toll 13 then I ended up outfield due to my height as that was a thing back in the late 90's 😅 so I'm no pro by any stretch but trying to make a small impact if I can
