This is the only Zero Tolerance knife I've been interested in, in the past 3 years. Allegedly, this is 60-63 HRC. If they were 63-64 HRC, I would've bought it instantly. Still, it's a great knife given that it's so lightweight, titanium frame lock, and slicey as heck. They sold out yesterday at GPKnives because it was on sale for $204. Around $220 at BladeHQ and KnifeCenter. Great prices to be honest.
I picked one up yesterday. It’s nice but not really a flashy and attention grabbing knife right away. But I have to say the more you handle it and carry it the more appealing it gets. It’s definitely a grower and not a shower 😉
I have had this knife for about 10 days. My only complaint is the pocket clip and it's not easy to get out of my pocket. I put a small lanyard around the back stand off and that seems to help. thx!
For me the 0450 was the Bugout before there was a Bugout. Light, sleek, and still resilient. My Bugout came and went, and didnt really see much pocket time. Also, the aluminum w/M390 Bugout stayed in my collection and still sees pocket time.
ZT Comebacks!! Now, EDC ZT 0562 Mic, MagnaCut!!! Really like the all stonewashed blade in MC & OD Green Micarta w/Ti Frame lock. It brings back the nostalgic workhorse quality knife. I think this flavor truly makes it hard-user outdoors, tactical folder. Please, try to do a review soon, comparing to previous 0562, etc?
Reminds me of the Kershaw 2076 Strata folding knife, bigger D2 blade half steel frame and G10 instead of carbon fiber. Check it out, you'll see what I mean. Good video guys. Thanks
Love the weight & design on the blade of my ZT0393, it flips w/ authority. Snap! Fixed blades are awesome, love my Bark River Bravo 1.5LT w/ blue scales and hollow pins!!! If you haven't reviewed a BR knife you must! The convex edge is phenomenal but at the same time also a slight negative cause I don't personally have a way to resharpen convex. What do you guys think. Is it Balsphemy to sharpen my Bravo on the wicked edge?? Sure as heck ain't using my worksharp KO on it, that's for cheaper/kitchen knives etc.
I was about to say, get a Ken Onion Worksharp lol if you practice a bit and don’t angle it too much near the tip you can get a Sharp, nice looking edge
The thing I hated most about my 0707 was the clip. Getting it out is fine (thumb on the handle, index finger hooked below the clip), but going into the pocket the fabric would always catch on the lock bar cutout.
I own now 7 ZT knives and all 7 are not part of that video :D. I own the 0393SW, 0562CF, 0640, 0630, 0357, 0350, 0801 and I really want to buy the 0545 it's definitiv not overbuilt but the market has moved one. I still love my tank knives but I also love my titanium Bugout. So the 0545 will be an awesome addition to my other EDC knives.
I just assumed this was KAI's answer to the Benchmade Narrows. Only cheaper. Which is insane because, one, it's a ZT and two, it's almost $300! Still, I dig it.
I have around 8 ZT’s looks like u have me beat though I have around 80 folders and 30 fixed blades in my collection not counting machetes, axes and tomahawks let’s trade 🙏 people don’t think carbon fiber, titanium and magnacut are exciting enough shouldn’t they have known that’s what they were getting when they made the purchase 🤔. People have become extremely nit picky and useless . Hey I have the same scale but in orange small world 😊.
I wanted it and wanted to like it but I got it in hand and it's not without it's issues, if you have any pressure on the lock bar it won't deploy. And I really did want it but I had to pass after I had it in hand.....🍻
ZT has an uphill battle with this one, many in the hobby miss being able to buy amazing designs from their favorite makers. This seems like a punched up Kershaw, it's hard to get excited about designers who we don't know. Seems like a marketing problem more than anything.
I commented on your "too early" video on this knife, nothing has changed... it's yet another ho-hum in house design and they're hoping the magnacut will sell the knife as the very boring, drab design sure won't. Maybe... one of these days they will do collab's again, the OG's will pay for the royalty fee. Until then, ZT is making well built (boring) "play purties". Remember, you can put lipstick (magnacut) on a pig, but at the end of the day, it's still a pig. ZT has forgotten those who put them on the map...sad!
I would like to see more collabs too! Time for a new Hinderer design for sure, and I would love to see them do a knife with the Demkos. Or another Rexford…
Unfortunately, 200 isn't high for a quality EDC any longer. While we all may not like the price increases, to stay with USA made, that's the cost of admission. There are more than enough foreign manufactured blades for those who don't want to spend the $$$. While some prices aren't justifiable, cough, cough, $600 Ti bailout, thanks to the current economy, this is where we are now.

Glad to see a new ZT design and its actually a good slicer. .08 is nice!

Does it give you dressed up bugout vibes?
@@mr.crumbles2557 Funny you should say that, it’s exactly how I described it to someone as a comparison earlier today
Ah. So it's a gentlemans folder then.
@@timbucktoonotforyou.8442 I can see that, yeah.
Thanks for the look!
1st 🥇
My work place is not half scissors friendly, so that clip is the best.
Looks like a winner to me!
I hope they will make a 3.5" plus! Love it!
I’ve been out of the knife game for a while and just started to regain some new old stuff. Just ordered this little guy today. Great video guys
Boring is good. Too many today look like gas station or carnival knives.
😂😂👍👍
More of this ZT 🙏
It reminds me of their ZT0235 slip joint, except bigger and with a frame lock. I like it. Love your collection of Zero Tolerance knives!
Impressive knife collection and presentation! 😊
The clip is very similar to the one they use on the 0707, 0235, and 0230 (the latter being their slip joint like non lockers)
I've used fixed blades but I generally buy folders myself. I need that one. And Frankie's version of average..😶😶😄
Nice to see thar knife again
👍👍
Zt 301 rocks 🤟 thanks for sharing 👊
I’m tempted because I love ZT knives…but Christmas is close…it can wait 😉
Maybe you’ll still get one
I love mine. The clip doesn't come out of thick fabric pockets with one hand. It has the same clip as the zt0707.

What's the use of a 7" beater if you can't touch the tip?
🤔 🤔

ZT 0707 has the same clip on it
Yeah $270 for a knife the size as a bugout is steep, but it’s a nice looking knife. Thanks for sharing
that looks cool!
Seems comparable to the ZT 0762 besides the blade steel. It's 2.9 oz so only .9 oz more.😅 I did see the first sneak peak video. Thanks for sharing.
👊👊

I got a few Bark River knives. Love them. That convex is no joke.

It’s a Bugout killer from ZT. I’d prefer it to a Bugout anytime.
The thing I hated most about my 0707 was the clip. Getting it out is fine (thumb on the handle, index finger hooked below the clip), but going into the pocket the fabric would always catch on the lock bar cutout.
They use that clip on the sliojoint 0235 i think
I think the kershaw strata has a very similar pocket clip to the 0545.
👍👍

Full black ti model with the satin blade
The massdrop gent had a similar looking clip, normal mounting tho
I like the return to slimmer, lighter knives. Those chonky knives from 2014 haven’t aged well.
From my dinner table...heeeeey!
👋👋
Very nice i gotta get one.
I just assumed this was KAI's answer to the Benchmade Narrows. Only cheaper. Which is insane because, one, it's a ZT and two, it's almost $300! Still, I dig it.
and the Narrows makes an appearance!!
The thinnes the action I got one on layaway
You're thinking of the clip on the 0707. Did you guys sell yours?
You’ve got us both wondering…
Did we actually own that knife?? It’s possible we owned it and sold it.
Correct, same clip
But seriously for $270 it is not a beater. ZT's in general, compared to the modern Market, don't offer that much.
Compared to what exactly?
No Rick Hinders in your collection 😮??

As a premium Bugout competitor, it's really nice, but it doesn't excite me. I like ZT for their beefy tactical knives
That's a tuxedo knife/dress up knife
I’m not a fan of that type of carbon fiber, would love either a full ti version or a Micarta version
What do you think about the ZT0350 Magnacut ?
Don’t have enough use with ZT specific Magnacut, but it’s definitely popular for a reason
How many knives do you own?😊
Almost 20!! 😆😆

This model has a legitimate place, among the other ZT’s and thin/discreet otherwise full size knives (we both agree anyway)
@@BirdShotIV sure, given the materials and overall quality. I'm sure strict ZT collectors will be on board.

The price is way too high and that pocket clip doesn't go well with the overall aesthetic. Good looking knife, just a tad high.
Nice design, but not for $270? Maybe under $210?
Heeeeeey, low profile in public is a wise choice
😉 😉
I’m fine with boring.
😆😆👊👊
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm🤔

Yeah…not going to spend $200 on a pocket knife.
then go away…
