    I love my hinderer no choil slicer in battle black. I like it because I use washers over bearings because I’m a cabinet maker and saw dust murders bearings. Just gritty action in 3 days. Teflon stays buttery smooth for months. Little nano lube and 😙

    I'm sorry to see others having issues with the 0562Ti. Mine has perfect centering, almost falls shut without a shake, and has no rock. My only complaint is the detent could be slightly heavier. May have to tighten the pivot a hair.

    • @freddy_theknifeguy6007
      @freddy_theknifeguy6007  6 лет назад +2

      Sam only issue on mine is too strong a detent. And that sanding they did in it. Haven’t had a chance to fix it.

    Had mine anodized when I ordered it, they may have cleaned it or something, but it fires open beautifully.

    3 words.....Tetra...gun...grease.
    I use it on all my knives. It smoothes out any pivot but does wonders to improve the feel of bearing pivots. It smooths everything out and produces a slightly "hydraulic' or dampened feel.
    Once applied and worked in it dries to a waxy condition. You can remove the excess at that point but I leave it as a barrier to prevent dust intrusion.
    You can use your favorite oil as well, 24 hrs after applying the Tetra if you want it to be lighter.

    Interesting video. Got mine a few days ago. It was a lot smoother than yours out of the box but the pivot came loose and the blade centering was off

      ZTs quality control dropped substantially after the 0560 was released.

    What's the point of having a lock bar insert? I personally never liked it prefer solid with no screws, less screws to keep track of or falling out...

    • @freddy_theknifeguy6007
      @freddy_theknifeguy6007  3 года назад +2

      over time the titaium will wear and the lock up will get later and later. the lock insert will last way longer.

    Im interested in getting this folder and i would like to know if that friction in the frame is only when is close or if is frictioning when is opening and closing.

      both opening and closing, but its more noticeable in closing. the 0562ti is still one of my favorite zt.

    I really feel like since the 0560 was released, ZTs quality control has never been the same. I have a 0300 that I purchased in early 2012 and it’s quality is outstanding, zero issues whatsoever and the tightest, stick free lockup I’ve ever had until I got my Reates. But every 0560 I’ve ever handled had something off with it. All of them had lock rock, the action varied considerably between them, off centered blades, detect issues, etc. Even the 0560CBCF I had wasn’t quite on the level of my 0300. I also have an 0630 that came with a horrible factory bevel. And the issue you seem to be having isn’t even some anomaly, I’ve seen several in store that wouldn’t drop free due to lockbar tension. It does seem that the carbon fiber models receive a higher level of care from the factory as they’ve been the most consistent ones I’ve handled. But it’s still inexcusable.

    • @freddy_theknifeguy6007
      @freddy_theknifeguy6007  6 лет назад

      Alex Nye honestly, they seem to only rally care about the factory customs. The 0392 line was EXCELLENT.

      @@freddy_theknifeguy6007 Never looked into it. But honestly for the price I'd probably just go buy an actual Hinderer or go get a Reate that will probably be better quality anyway.

      Check out neroknives channel, he details how all 7 of his ZT knives have lock rock and the lockbar fails with light spine whacks. Definitely not 'hard use'

    • @freddy_theknifeguy6007
      @freddy_theknifeguy6007  6 лет назад

      Kar Lizen I disagree with that. All my ZT are fine. No lock rock or issue with disengagement. Proper pivot tightness is critical to prevent lock rock.

    Just got a 0450 and it is the worst knife (mid-high price range) that I own. The detent is horrendous. For that price, buy a Protech Malibu instead. ZT action is actually painful from that detent. Bad job, ZT. Bad job.
