This and the ZT462 CF are my favorite production knives. I just lost the CF version of this one and ordered the Ti version. Both are great blades.

Thanks for the comparison! Also, the reason you can't reliably deploy via the thumb stud is because it's not a thumb stud, it's a brake stop for the blade when flipped open :)

Also when using the thumb stud with your left hand (thumb), you're inadvertently putting pressure on the lock bar against the blade causing added resistance. It'd probably be easier using your right hand (thumb).

No its literally not a thumb stud. Its a blade stop. They made them rounded to discourage use as a thumb stud

Enjoyed that mate. So many changes to the same knife. Sometimes it is just nice to sit back and listen and learn. Atb paddy 👍☘️😀

My experience. I had both the ZT0562CF & ZT0562. I was able thumb flick my G-10 model with ease but the CF had a detent that was too strong to thumb flick... the G-10 model was from the discontinued sale and the CF was the 204P version. Now they are made in 20CV. The G-10 styling was not for me, I prefer something more eye catching 😃

Yeah, I'm sure that detent varies. I think at the time, the only reason I purchased the G10 version was because of price. Now I really like the titanium model more. Thanks for watching Eric.

Got my 0562 from a close out sale for $150. For me there’s no need to get the Ti version. Probably use the money for a Ferrum Forge or several budget knives.
BTW, the liner under the 0562 g10 is steel. I thought it was Ti too till I put a magnet to it. 👍🏽🔪

Wow JcruzR that's a fantastic price! Nice work. Thanks for the heads up about the liner.

The Knife Beater KnifeCenter had the best price when that model was discontinued. Had to snatch it!

Nice video KB, I have the G10 version that I bought for under $200 and I really like it. I like the Ti version as well but the only way I will ever upgrade to the full Ti version is if/when I finally pull the trigger on a Stars and Stripes Customized by USA Made Blade, I really like the ZT0562TI Blue Stars & Stripes "We The People" version... MAGA!

I hear ya, it's tough to justify buying almost the same model again. In regards to that modified version, I know exactly the knife you are talking about Sailor, it is beautiful. Thanks for watching.

I have the 0562CF and I love it but every now and then it will get a LITTLE bit of play between the blade and detent when its closed. Barely perceptible but I feel it. Anyone else have this issue?

    @ScottieG59 5 лет назад +1

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it, but the G10 is over steel with titanium one the lock side.

Just bought the cf version and can’t open with thumb studs. Like the looks but wish it had more grip. Same with the ti version. Great review! New subscriber.

Its not made to open with them, they're blade stops

Do a cutting test. Let’s see if zt can heat treat 20cv better than S35vn

Nice comparison. I'm not a fan of the "CF" version at all. I like the early "G10" version a lot (with Elmax), but would probably prefer the "Ti".

What if you own the orange g10 version with 204p?

  • @Sugardaddy501

I would rather own the g10 version as I prefer easier to sharpen steel and some better grip.

I hear ya magic. The G10 definitely provides more traction. Thanks for watching.

Not worth it for EDC. My G10 S35VN 0562 will not do anything different or better if upgraded.
