  • In this video I talk about what Ron Davis discovered about his own dyslexia and how all the symptoms of dyslexia are the symptoms of disorientation. I discuss how disorientation affects people with Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD and other learning disabilities and how the Davis programs help to overcome these difficulties.

This is a perfect description. I find a lot of educators and even some researchers who talk about dyslexia don't conceptualize it adequately. Hopefully we can get dyslexia research to be scientific and systematic.

WOW just Wow! I resonated so much with what was said I became emotional just how much it clicked with me and I haven't understand this about myself and hopeful that there is something out there I can do/learn to help in my life.

Hi Klein, I am glad you found it helpful. If you are have difficulties and want help I would recommend that you contact the facilitator closest to you and talk with them directly. The link to the main Davis website is in the description.

I started crying when you held up the letter A and explained the confusion about words that don’t have a picture I can attach a meaning to. It clicked in me and I felt like that child in school again, working so hard to keep up, often feeling confused and out of place (self diagnosed when I began hearing and reading of dyslexia, now in my 50s).
Moving to a different country as a teenager and learning a second language, I think, helped me break out of the box of feeling stuck behind.
Thank you so much for posting this!

Thank you, I am glad you found it helpful. I did a Davis program then I was 40 and then trained as a facilitator. It is never to late to do Davis and I would suggest you go to the main Davis website and find a facilitator closest to you. This could be either for yourself or for anyone you may be helping.

From the Davis point of view disorientation is also causing ADHD and ADD. The symptoms appear different because the persons internal sense of time being distorted so the person becomes hyperactive or hypoactive. Hi Darin, I am sorry you felt the video was too long for you. However, I am presenting an in depth look at Ron Davis work, the cause of dyslexia and other learning difficulties. I do have shorter video on my channel and you could also search Davis Dyslexia on RUclips. If you are looking for help then you can find and contact a facilitator at: www.dyslexia.com
