Larry’s DA is ammo wool 6 inch I’m on five when I polishing his paint I’m using 3M sandpaper 1500 grid dry and h9 compound by Koch. I’ll make sure to be more descriptive next time I’m really new to this bro.
@@BorndetailersTv expensive as fuck but they last forever. Throw in some shine supply classic cut and classic polish and you're all set with your rotary. I don't often buy the perfect it and finesse it polish cuz it's 100 a bottle... but man it sure is bomb 😂
Was trying to polish my Q5 with a DA polisher, heavy cut foam pad and maguiers compound. Getting almost no correction even going over several times. Any tips?
What kind of Meguiars compound? My Tundra has the most stubborn hard clear I've ever corrected. Had to go with rotary instead of DA with lake country heavy cut purple wool pad and Sonax cut max. A foam pad wouldn't have taken out a thing. Maybe with Meguiars 105 and a lot of time and passes, but probably only 50%.
Legendary as usual been following you for a while and I love the technics shown in the videos it's very helpful. Have you tried the rupes blue da coarse wool pad on a rotary? If so what are are your thoughts?
Decent video but hard to see the finish while the camera is behind your shoulder far away. Also, aren't you supposed to not go over edges while polishing? Doesn't that thin the paint?
Pretty much it's a efficiency thing. It takes five times a time to polish the rotary and finish out to get the job done. The only time I use a rotary is for cutting and removing scratches.
@@BorndetailersTvbut Yvan said cut with a DA and finish with a rotary 😅😅💀☠️ and were you cutting or just removing material? Nice work man, that ammo DA looks sick
@@bernitup6492 there's definitely easier ways, especially your pain not too bad. No reason to use a rotary. But if you want to take care of pain for the next level, I'll use it first to level the paint
@BorndetailersTv Thanks. Reason I was asking is cause I got a rotary polisher from Harbor Freight as a gift along with several pads and I did not want to have too many tools since I am a weekend diy'r.
I like your video, but the music was not necessary, because you're teaching people some instructions so they want to be able to hear you and pay attention to what you're saying, but when the music is playing I couldn't understand everything you were saying
Am detailer from uganda based united Arab emirates but l have learnt alot from thanks.

Did you use polish to get the swirls out?
@@ClaritySoothingSounds yes I'm using rules uno pure right now.
Gracias.
Thank you brother much appreciated
So you eliminated the swirls with a dual action polisher?
Yes that's correct 👍🏽
Was trying to polish my Q5 with a DA polisher, heavy cut foam pad and maguiers compound. Getting almost no correction even going over several times. Any tips?
Use a Microfiber or Wool pad. German cars have medium-hard to hard clear coats

Meguiars is garbage
Name of the first pad? Is that for cutting?
It's lake country wool pad.
Hey i got a question when polishing fiber glass can you go as heavy or do you need to be more careful ?
It’s always good to do a test spot and do less passes. Try that first
Legendary as usual been following you for a while and I love the technics shown in the videos it's very helpful. Have you tried the rupes blue da coarse wool pad on a rotary? If so what are are your thoughts?
I do have rupes coarse wool really like it. I’ll make a video of the cut combo next week. Thank homie

That’s why you use a DA instead of a rotary.
🎉🎉🎉
Thank you homie much appreciated
Yeah!👏👏👏
Thank you brother
Outa curiosity why’d you switch to a random orbital?

Glad it was helpful!
Are you using a UV light?
@@stevek758 yes to cure paint
@@BorndetailersTv What kind of Paint? you can only Cure Clear as of now, Can you be specific?
So that's not with a DA polisher?. I only have a rotary polisher.
