After loading a disc, should both the blue and red lasers be seen? My bluray player doesn't read DVDs. It think's there's "NO DISC" when there is. I opened it up and watched (not directly above the player; to the side). The blu diode lit up but the red diode did not. I assume the red laser isn't working anymore, but maybe the blue laser can be used to see if a disc is a DVD or bluray first, then switch to the red laser.
My current Blu Ray problem seems to be because of it's network/wi fi options, , it seems to play DVDS proper enough , , , but it played only one Blu Ray disc " "Age of Extinction TF" , but the next day I wanted to play the same disc again because I wanted to closer examine one scene ,and to my shock , it wouldn't play that disc or any of my Blu Ray titles 😮😢 but it would play regular DVDs without issue , but is a Samsung BD player that just says "Invalid disc" Everytime I attempt to play ANY Blu-Ray , , , , I stare at ceiling in extreme rage 🔥🙄🙄🙄🙄🔥
I like tinkering too love videos like this!

Personally im hunting for a bluray player that might have a swappable bluray drive, hopefully recordable, to mount in a pc
You ever find one? My goal as well
I’m here because I was wondering if that is possible lol
There's just the one screw Samsung BD jm57 I need to clean the eye bc every new disc stops
I did this with my Samsung and couldn't get the top back on properly

I have this exact model. The disc tray will no longer open. Does anyone have any advice?
