You have nice looking hands. You also enunciate your instructions so well. AND... Not one filler syllable or word through the entire presentation, e.g., "like", "umm", or "ok".
Followed your instructions to repair my Insignia Blu- Ray player that I purchased in 2011. The tray would not open. Your spot on man. I was all set to trash it. Now it works fine. Used some Lithium grease. Tray works fine. Thanks much. You are truly the big dog.
You inspired me to try to fix an LG Blu-Ray player. This video helped me to look for the gears. I opened it up, and there was a small black rubber band that had snapped. I had a bag of tiny rubber bands and replaced it. Good as new!
Fantastic video! While my DVD was a bit different.... your excellent instructions got me through the process and I'm up and running again. Thanks a million!
Thanks for the video! Mine had the pin that engages the rack connected to the gear out of its track on the disk holder so I was able to take it off and put it back in the track in the right position with information from your video!
Excellent. My player ws trashed - door was broken but you helped me figure out how to get the DVD out w/o ruining it & having to pay a library bill to reolace it.
Thanks for the video! I have 2 Blu Ray players that I've barely used due to digital streaming being so easy now and both have this problem. I'll follow your video and hopefully fix them both.
Wow, easy fix. I would have taken it apart, tested the motor with three volts from my power supply and, if good, replaced the belt. Frank Frank Reiser Video/Audio Service
"Get the cover off, that easy." Meanwhile I have a Toshiba player sitting here that I've removed the screws from and the damn metal case STILL won't come off. Of course there are no repair/teardown videos of this particular model anywhere on the net.
I had one that wouldn't open. Turned out they used an o ring from the drive motor as the drive belt. It was completely stretched out. Popped a new one in, good as new. If it's broke, what harm is there in trying to fix it?
Hi, I was trying this for my blu ray player cause the door is stuck. I managed 2 get the cover off and have the same kinda tray down setup. However the tray won't come out the door even with the screws out. It'll lift up but seems stuck in door. What should I do? Also what do u unplug and replug in to take the disc tray out? Thanx.
Whar exactly did you do to get it to eject? Was it adding grease or oiling the gears? I'm having the same problem. It did open half way but then again it's still does not eject to open or close.
@@robertkellogg1199 Awesome. I See With Mine It Isnt The Gears But The Part The Disk Sits On. It Comes Too Far Upward When Closing And The Tray Cant Get Passed It😩...Im Still Searching For Videos To Help
On the Blue Ray Player with the unit plugged in Press and Hold the Power and the Door Open on the Unit (not the remote) for 10 sec or you hear 3 beeps. as long as the unit is plugged it it will stay working with the remote but if you unplug it you will have to reprogram it again using these steps.
What happens if you find the video after you "forced it" I tried the instructions in the video but it seems like it is out of sync because I forced it. How do I recover?
I would at least check/change the Line fuse on these if its totally dead. Just follow the Power cord to the power board and a fuse should be right next to it. Thanks for watching/commenting!
i just bought a "lightly used, good condition" dvd player form some old lady and the tray doesn't open (plus the front plastic is loose). maybe i should try this. edit: i ended up trying this fix. the gears were greasy and the rubber band connecting it had good grip. when i turned the power back on, it closed, as yours did, but it did not open XDXD i manually opened it without removing it from it's place, like by rolling the gear. then i could pull it open the rest of the way. at some point i decided to try putting a DVD in it. it read it right and all, but guess what, WITH a DVD it opens without any extra assistance XDXDXD if u close it without a dvd then it will not open.
MDR easy solution do you think it's an easy solution the fact that you have to remove the casing and directly remove the reader to be able to unlock it I think that ordinary people are not even capable of removing the cover of the reader I don't think it's an easy solution personally I know how to do it instead of turning the wheel to open the drawer you have the small white wand below the reader that you just have to push to open the drawer MDR solution facile pensez-vous que c'est une solution facile le fait qu'il faut enlever la carcasse et enlever directement le lecteur pour pouvoir le débloquer je pense que les personnes lambda ne sont même pas capables d'enlever le capot du lecteur je ne pense pas que ça soit une solution facile personnellement je sais le faire au lieu de tourner la roue pour ouvrir le tiroir vous avez la petite baguette blanche en dessous du lecteur qu'il suffit de pousser pour ouvrir le tiroir

Are you making a pass at him?
Omg it worked! Thank you so much! I bought it off a guy for 7 dollars and the disc drawer didn't open. So I went on RUclips and found your video!
Glad I could help. Good Job Charlene!

Just want to say that this video also spared me frustration and time to get my Blu-ray disc out on a dead player before I had to trash it.
Thanks!
Thanks for the leadership. I disassembled my LG, pulled the DVD out, put it back together and it works perfectly.
Thank You Very Much! Had a single strand of hair caught up where the rubber band is. Works fine now, you’re the best
Glad it helped!

A million 'thank you" for taking the time to film this. You make a difference in someone's life somewhere....just want you to know that. :)
i know I'm kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to watch new movies online?
@Zion Remy i use Flixzone. Just google for it :)

Thank you for this helpful video. You explained things so even I could understand them. Didn't fix my problem but I got the disk out. Thanks again.
I followed your clear instructions and was able to fix the problem -- easy peasy. Thanks soooo much!! 🙂
You're welcome!
This was a game changer. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Thank you!
Totally worked! Not sure if the player will work but at least got the rented disc out. Thank you!
Thank you so much! It worked! I used a small rubber band to replace the broken belt. So glad to get it working again!
creative!!!
Thank you so much for the video. I was able to save my DVD that was stuck!
No worries!
Fab - last 'might as well give youtube a shot' try before bunging the player in the bin, worked a treat. You earned me major dad points. Cheers, pal.

Why was the tray stuck to begin with, and how to prevent it from happening again ?

How do you disconnect thebig flat cable from the motherboard?
Thank you very much. Your instructions repaired my Phillips DVD player :)))
Got my DVD out.
Thank you, sir!
I just had the same problem with my Sanyo BluRay player. No disk was in there. So I’m gonna try fixing that up you showed either tonight or tomorrow.
Brilliant worked like a charm thanks buddy
Excellent video! Fortunately my dvd was in the 9. Thank YOU so much!
Thanks mate, just fixed my Denon Bluray. Legend!
Thanks bro, this video helped me a lot!
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for making it so easy I am going to do just that right now thanks a lot
Thanks for your great video, looks not that difficult, I will try to fix my dvd player, the dvd door stuck, not able to open.
Good one, bigdog! Thanks. Great video.

Vcr door opens but eats the tape on the way out? Used VCR head cleaner but this didn't work. What should I do next?
Check gears or belts. Use the model# of the VCR and look on RUclips.
Bless you mate. 🏆🇬🇧
what kind of grease do you use?
Wonderful. Thank you for this video. Worked like a charm 👌
Worked for me!!!
thank you , just greased the cog works again!
I need help . I have a phillips blue ray player and I'm trying to do this but it's not working for me .
Maybe try this? ruclips.net/video/w9TwV0qX9Ro/видео.html
You could mention the fact that these things need to be done while the DVD player is unplugged for risk of electrical shock, otherwise good info
Whar exactly did you do to get it to eject? Was it adding grease or oiling the gears? I'm having the same problem. It did open half way but then again it's still does not eject to open or close.
Same Problem.. His Opened Easy, Mine Halfway
@@beelatrice1377 It finally opened all the way. I used a small rubber band. It works like new. 👍

Gears are probably stripped now
Worked out for me, thanks a lot!
tip:please turn off your background music when doing these how to videos
Yes, I agree.
What happens when the wheel only turns so far then won't go any further? Does that means it's broken for good or?
Thank you.
Mine is open/close but its spinning just a little bit and stops!
Check the Belt(s)
@@bigdog8882 The belt is new
Nice. Thanks!
Thanks for posting. Would be better w/out music in my opinion. Harder to follow.
I have to push down lightly on the crossbar going across the spindle motor, and it releases every time.
I just saw this solution. Sound like this is what you have. ruclips.net/video/w9TwV0qX9Ro/видео.html
Thanks man. It worked for me!
Worked for me thanks
My BluRay player does not play Blu ray but does cd and DVD. Samsung bricked it with an update in 2013.
Great video but I think you need some proper lighting just saying 😁
LOL
Hy thanks sir .it worked for me
Thanks.
Thanks !
Works in 2024🎉 thankss
*UPDATE*
I tried to take the disc tray off my Sanyo BluRay player, but I couldn’t pray or pull out with force so I won’t break anything.
Sounds like playboy channel music 🎶 lol
LoL

I fail to see what part of this is easy!!!!
I bought a brand new one and the door wouldn't open. I took it back. Now I know.
