I think the idea that the first attempt could be chalked up as "sorry I didn't know the rules" is a liiiitle bit generous. It's one thing to not know community protocols regarding blindfold runs. It's another to basically say you did it without sight, while relying on sight (even if impaired). I'm a physician.
yeah, I think saying nothing is wrong with the first video like he did is a bit weird but that depends on what exactly he meant with his wording. Cause even if the story stopped at the first video (and ignoring the previous warframe charity run), it shouldn't be acceptable to cheat at a challenge category for personal gain that others put in a lot of hard work to learn. no amount of "it was a little thing for MY community" should excuse that
People should know by now that the speedrunning community will overanalyze everything thoroughly to pick out anything from potential strategies to see if someone is cheating.
