- In 2017, Six Flags Great America debuted a brand new free-fly coaster. THE JOKER is one of the most unique attractions in park history, featuring innovative magnetic technology and unique swiveling vehicles. On this wicked new adventure, you'll soar outside the confines of the track in wing cars facing other riders.
The unique coaster design first takes a 90-degree Vertical lift straight up 120 feet in the air. When you flip over the edge, you begin to somersault along the horizontal plane, dropping down two free-fall drops and experiencing at least six weightless head-over-heels flips. THE JOKER delivers utter unpredictability and sinister suspense on every ride.
This ride is SO SO MUCH FUN but super short

This has never been running in all my times at the park
I went on it and PASSED OUT and before It started i got so scared and was screaming at the people to get me out and the dude said sorry buddy too late and we started rising and i started to cry but after the first drop i was so scared i passed out lol
For the footprint this ride takes up, it packs a hell of a punch.

I really been on this so many times, even high once, the only bad part is if you have long hair, sometimes when you get off your hair will get caught and it will pull it and hurt, it happened to me so many times so I always get off carefully and I’ve even seen it happen to someone else

I hadn't been on Goliath since the last time i visited SFGAm in 2016. Went back for the first time this past weekend, and holy crap I forgot how intense that first drop on Goliath was lmao

It's one of those coasters that you've almost have to ride, just for the novelty of it. However, for the whole 30 second ride, between the first drop and the return to the station house, I'm not completely sure it would be worth waiting over an hour for (more than once).

I know I’m super late. I want to go here, to this exact park, in Illinois, for my birthday. It’s in 4 days, probably won’t go the day of my birthday, maybe that week. This probably won’t get answered by the time I go. I will be turning 15. These videos make it seem like the ride isn’t scary at all. I’m not a huge thrill seeker, I’m scared of roller coasters, yet I can do big water slides and I can barley swim. The last time I was at six flags was when I was 8 or 9. I remember going on the Whizzer, which wasn’t scary at all. I was just wondering if there are any roller coasters, besides the whizzer that would be a good first roller coaster? I’m afraid of heights, sometimes get motion sick. I’ve never been on anything that goes upside down, so I might pass out. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
TL;DR- I’m wondering if there is any roller coaster at Great America that a 15 year old who is afraid of roller coasters, besides the Whizzer that would be a good first step.
