@@CombatSportsNerd its a common thing amongst artists. You see a vision of what you want in your head but instead of getting a clear reflection you get one with a slight crack or with a funhouse affect. In fact, I just got over struggling with a redraw that I just got done with. I had an idea of what I wanted but putting pen to paper made the vision not come together and ended having to redo the whole pose and tweak the intended design. One might say the og pose was fine and I didn't need to change the design, but I much prefer the new outcome... for now atleast. I say that because ask a bunch of singers and the majority will say they can't listen to their first song without cringing no matter how good anyone else thinks it is.
i love kumiho’s design but she isn’t a kitsune but a Korean fox spirit called kumiho. shes wearing a hanbok without the jacket part. kumihos disguise themselves as beautiful women but they have 1 body part thats still fox and lure people to eat their liver. they went with kumiho instead of kitsune since its a korean game and korean people are more used to their myths than japanese ones probably (and probably because it was made by Korean people and they are more used to the myth and hada. better idea for the design and character)
I love that the human character designs were so versatile, but it did annoy me just a bit that the more cultural based cookies weren’t really researched through. It would’ve been confusing if kumiho cookie had a different name, but the fact that our culture was in her name makes me a bit sad enough research wasn’t done. Same with when they made a hijabi design, it didn’t really follow the rules of coverings. Going back to the kumiho thing, as a Korean, it always makes me sad when people mistake our culture for Japanese culture, and that all we’re known for by westerners is that we made kpop. I know people can correct their mistakes, but the fact that “oh this is a game made by Korean devs” and “oh a cookie with a cultural sounding name” weren’t put together. That’s also what makes me upset when fanartists change the “race” of a cookie’s human design, when moon rabbit cookie and kumiho cookie are arguably cookies that should be respected as being Korean. Erasing minorities with the excuse that it’s creating exposure for other minorities.
Kinda surprised they didn't react to the voices of the Cookies. LilyPichu is recognizable to half of her fans, and Jeremy Shawda's (GingerBrave) is best known as Finn the Human from Adventure Time.

I love seeing Hijabi versions of characters (like with Kuromi and My meldody, those ones are so amazing). I love the way Izzy went but just when reminder is that us hijabis cover our legs! So just turn those stockings/socks into pants and it would be perfect! That’s all! Oh and I wanted to put this here specifically cause I seen that a lot of people have been interested in drawing hijabis lately and I know sorta advice is hard to find on how to represent us in art so mistakes happen.
Hey, if its not an issue i have a bit of a question. Are stockings okay if they go all the way up? Just to look a little better with skirts and dresses. I've been wanting to make a muslim character for awhile and I've never been positive on how to go about that.
@@Venusflytrap-f2z I may be wrong, but from what I've heard, while specifics differ from person to person, the point is to be modest, so figure-hugging clothing is generally a no. I've heard some people say fully opaque stockings are okay if the skirt is past knee length, but I'd generally suggest doing some research! It's pretty quick, you could also find some hijab friendly outfits online and base your designs of those. Again, take what I say with a grain of salt as I don't personally wear one, I've just done a bit of research
Uhm I wouldn't say that's the case always? Coming from someone who doesn't wear it, I have seen plenty of women around here that wear a Hijab but have a large cleavage and miniskirt plus high heels on. Might be bc it's a western country (Germany), but we have a large enough Muslim population for me to say that at least around here, a lot of them aren't that strict with their clothing even if they wear a hijab.

i usually default to calling everybody they/them that... isn't bad when a person prefers one or the other pronouns, right? **Edit I more or less mean when I know the persons pronouns, yet default back to they/them
@@balakeemogak8606 When you know a person's preferred pronouns are something like he/him, she/her, etc. you should try your best to use those pronouns, especially if that person is trans because using they/them instead of their preferred pronouns could be seen as you not actually seeing them as the gender they are. I'm not saying that's what *you* do, but that is how a lot of trans people interpret people using they/them instead of their actual pronouns (when their pronouns are known) and it can hurt/trigger dysphoria.

I actually want to see more Mom and Pop shop style sponsorships. It gets so tiring seeing Raid: Shadow Legends, World Anvil, Nord VPN, Surf Shark, and Blue Apron sponsor everyone with the same scripted corporate spiel. That's why I like Fact Fiend's sponsors, like the time they were sponsored by a husband and wife owned wool company! Stuff like that shows individually, and draws attention to smaller companies! And honestly, I want to see someone bamboozle us by thinking they were sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends, only to reveal it's the big spray. That'd be a breath of fresh air.
Oh Fact Fiends sponsorships are so refreshing! They genuinely interest me a lot of time, especially cuz of Karl’s strict rules for sponsors. He doesn’t take shit from any big brands, so the ones he does promote are willing to compromise how they usually do things.

I actually want to see more Mom and Pop shop style sponsorships. It gets so tiring seeing Raid: Shadow Legends, World Anvil, Nord VPN, Surf Shark, and Blue Apron sponsor everyone with the same scripted corporate spiel. That's why I like Fact Fiend's sponsors, like the time they were sponsored by a husband and wife owned wool company! Stuff like that shows individually, and draws attention to smaller companies!
And honestly, I want to see someone bamboozle us by thinking they were sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends, only to reveal it's the big spray. That'd be a breath of fresh air.
Oh Fact Fiends sponsorships are so refreshing! They genuinely interest me a lot of time, especially cuz of Karl’s strict rules for sponsors. He doesn’t take shit from any big brands, so the ones he does promote are willing to compromise how they usually do things.
I didn't realize until watching this video a whole year later, that the cookies were drawn with their parts on separate layers so they could be animated like that...That's an *incredible* amount of dedication and foresight, damn...
