Indeed the typical PTU (Power Transfer Unit) also known as the barking dog. This system transfers hydraulic power, and is mostly heard when starting up or shutting down as one of the two engines is delivering the power and the other one not. Sometimes this can be heard in flight too or during takeoff and landing when a lot of hydraulic power is needed.
I was on an A320 for the first time and I remember the pilot making funny comments about the odd noises that Airbus planes make. He went on to say it wasn't him trying to turn the engine over and grinding the gears which got some laughs from the passengers. I have to say they were weird sounds
Well it must sound like a dog because the real dog responded lmao
That time when your dog tries to talk with an Airbus...

A dog on board barked at the PTU 😂
damn that's the most aggressive PTU actuation I've ever seen
lol it sounds like our old washing machine on spin cycle just before the clutch failed
I already knew that it's the ptu before I clicked the video. XD
I knew it was PTU. Thanks to captain Joe XDdd
I've heard this many times on the A320 but this is the most rapid one I've heard ! 😂
PTU sounds like a professional glass cleaner re-scrubbing one tough spot lol

Jeez, someone must've gotten the PTU high on drugs! I've never heard it go wacko like this ever before!

Lol was there an actual dog on the plane? At
“ wow that second bark sounds like a dog for sure “ then realized that was an actual dog barking
Holy moly the longest PTU startup I have ever heard

I've never been on an a320 that it sounds that long!!
