    Quite nice lighting on the departure! Also, it looks like there was fuel dump starting at 6:41 but stops in a few seconds after.

      @@maotingdewyou can’t misclick a switch that’s on the overhead far away from the before take off memory items, when your only overhead items to do before take off are the landing lights, the runway turn off lights and the taxi light.
      The fuel jettison switches are guarded too, you need to lift a guard and press the button in to switch on the fuel pump that dumps it.
      It may have been residual fuel flying out due to the build up of speed(it doesn’t take much to move it, just like water on the fuselage during rainy take offs).
      Unless United has some absolutely scuffed SOP, there is absolutely no reason to dump fuel on take off roll, never in my life seen something like that before… or ever heard off anything like this!

    For a dude like me who is too fuckin poor to fly and have done so 3 times in my life this is absolutely awesome and absolutely knarly and absolutely gorgeous all at the same fuckin rime.

      I don’t know why but that just made me sad as hell. If flying wasn’t an economic viability for me, it would be such a bummer. The two things I do “for me” in life…flying and fishing (also guns and pocket knives but meh…not as important…)

      One of my colleagues used to do that. He worked on the Delta ramps at night…free travel, working with planes, etc.

    Nothing different here. Normal take-off rotation, rate and angle of climb.

      The GE90's that Continental (now United) have are even stronger at 100k+ per engine.

      This particular engine is rated by Pratt and Whitney at 98,000lbs and derated by United to 90,000 lbs.

      No..... Just a little bit vented out the dump tube at the beginning of the take off roll, this flight was no doubt full of fuel so some does slosh out.

    A very comfortable and quiet plane for overseas travel. Worst has to be the DC-10.

      I never flew on a DC-10 but I did on the MD-11. It was really smooth with a lot room. The flight was mostly empty.

    Nice and you can also experience this with the South Koreans KE/OZ Japanese NH B777-281/ER due to them using PW4090-4098 like this UA B777-222/ER. In East Asia remember HKG🇭🇰/BKK🇹🇭 use Trent 800s on B777-300/B777-200s

      Yes they did. The early 777s had three engine choices. The longer range models 777-200LR, 300ER, and F only came with GE because of their exclusivity deal with Boeing. Boeing made another exclusivity deal with GE for the upcoming 777-8 and 9

    This is a normal takeoff not fast nor steep, it’s just the ceiling is low which is the base of the lowest cloud to the ground. You’re welcome

      Nothing special? How much do you think that thing weighs? The fact it can fly is special. The engines itself are as big around as a 737. And to think it can fly on one engine for hours!
