I think the most amazing thing about Lucy is that she doesn't just perform a song but that her emotions actually live the song.
Absolute perfection!! What makes an actor or singer great is that they are able to embody and own the character. And they have to do this by feeling all the necessary emotions and expressing the necessary gestures of the character as required in the script or song. Otherwise, they have failed in their duty as a performer. Lucy is a great singer and great performer. People like Lucy receive awards because they embody the character when they perform.
Lucy was signed by Chris Broom , the owner of Cavendish Records, at the age of 14 years. Rosie is a musical being written by Chris Broom, who is an award winning composer, and is due to open on the UK's West End later next year. This premiere was delayed due to Covid and for Lucy to finish her schooling. If you're a Barbra Streisand fan, I would suggest Lucy's cover of EverGreen as your next reaction but any original or cover by Lucy is worthy of your reaction. Hi Great reaction to the Fabulous Lucy Thomas Best female vocalist out there today .You mentioned training Lucy has been singing since she was 7 years old and has had the same voice coach ever since. She was introduced to award winning songwriter and owner of Cavendish records Chris Broom at 13 he said he thought she had the potential to become one of the greatest singers of all time and ask her to sing a song he had written called "One Day" and this was Lucy´s 1st commercial recording, at 14 she was a semi finalist on voice kids UK. after which Chris offered her a record contract She is still with Chris 6 years on. Chris Said he is writing The Musical Rosie for Lucy To star in .It was put on hold due to covid and Lucy Still being at school. Lucy released "Starlight" "Suddenly" and "Gentle Breeze" when she was 15 they are the songs on the cover you are looking at here "Broken Dreams she released when she was 18 The latest song from Rosie Lucy released a couple of weeks ago and is called "Above The Clouds" And is on her channel .The musical is now on track to open in London´s West End next Autumn ,can you imagine how great those songs will sound now as Lucy´s Voice has matured even more. For Chris to wait all these years for Lucy to be ready to take the leading role in his musical shows how highly he thinks of Lucy´s abilities. Yes, do more! She is an amazing young talent. I don't care which one you react to, just more please. The thing that I see with this young artist is that she has learned, through training or through life or through, maybe, being a naturally empathetic person, to live in the song. Technically, she is almost perfection, but it is the feeling with which she sings that shines for me.
Lol, Somewhere is good, Evergreen is good, The Prayer is a must. They are all great and a must. You can't go wrong with any that you choose, and you'll have an enthusiastic audience for any and all. 😊

Rosie the musical is based on a true story about an Irish chorus girl moving to London and making a career on the West End stages, where she attracted the attention of a Marquis. They fell in love and eventually married. Many of the songs in Rosie reflect the struggles they had in remaining together as his family and friends tried to split them up because they felt he was getting involved with a woman “beneath his class”.
I have followed Lucy for 3 years now. You will not find a more enjoyable singer to listen to. Lucy has way of gently grabbing your soul and filling it with smiles. I would suggest your next listening enjoyment be a Barbra Streisand cover “Evergreen” from the movie “A Star Is Born”. But really all her recordings are excellent. Her and her sister Martha are excellent listening. Just take some time and pick out the ones that you favor and spend an enjoyable evening listening to this angelic voice.

I suggest you look Lucy’s channel with 60 other great songs, and select what you fancy and work your way through. They are all outstanding. 👍 However you should not miss ‘The Prayer’. That is a remarkable duet performance especially from Lucy’s young sister Martha. 🏆

Thank you for sharing the story of your grandmother. I love personal stories such as that! That generation of people, in my opinion, were very special and uniquely extraordinary human beings. And from the dawn of creation, it has been a rare individual who has not his or her share of broken dreams. Lucy not only sings about it beautifully here, but she also interprets it beautifully and meaningfully with her facial expressions, body language, hand gestures, voice inflections, etc. She is not only a gifted vocalist but, when "Rosie" premieres next year at London's West End Theater, I believe she will be recognized as a consummate performer in her starring role as Rosie Boote! After that, next stop, Broadway!
Lucy was 18 at the time of that recording. She couldn’t be the finished product at that age, could she? Imagine what she will be like in another five years. If anything she is even better now at 19. Do try her latest solo release, a cover of Barbra Streisand’s ‘Evergreen’. And as others have recommended, do try the duet with her little sister Martha covering ‘The Prayer’, sung when Lucy was 18 and Martha was 12.
Rosie - The musical is still in development. Lucy recorded the first four songs in the studio at the age of 14. Gentle Breeze was recorded a year later and Broken Dreams in late 2022 when Lucy was still 18. Since then, Lucy has recorded two more songs or Rosie, one a choral hymn and one duet mist recently. This musical will go live in 2024 and an album will be released next March. It will be a theatrical sensation I assure you. Anything you choose to react to will not disappoint.

Lucy will be starring in Rosie in 2024. Her fifth album, Beyond is due out on the 8th Dec and will include some more tracks from the musical (as all her albums have done). There is also a studio cast album due in the Spring.

Lucy started training at 7 now 19 national child tv talent show at 14 signed to a recording contract by Chris Broom 4 cds all ready, one per year another due in December. Still has the same vocal coach I believe and is in first year of college. Chris Broom who also owns the recording compayn is writing Roasie for Lucy's voice. Covid mucked up schedules and Lucy is attending college so time is tight but the songs are original's from the musical.
Lucy finished college in June and is now concentrating on Rosie with the cast album due March 2024.

One that gets overlooked but I think is one of her best is the Cover of Etta James classic At Last. Just my personal choice but all of Lucy's songs are amazing.

Lucy has been with the same voice coach since she was 7 years old, she was 18 when this song was recorded, and NO you have never heard it before as it is an original written for Lucy to sing in Rosie, and this was the first recording of the song Broken Dreams, Chris Broom of Cavendish Records signed Lucy at 14 Years old, her first commercial recording was ONE DAY, you can find it as a suggestion at the end of GENTLE BREEZE, another original recording along with STARLIGHT, and SUDDENLY, recorded as dress rehearsals for ROSIE before covid shut down work on the Musical for over two years. it is Now back on tract for fall 2024 release at WEST LONDON theater, Lucy is co producing with Chris Broom, Rosie is about the life of a poor Irish girl raised in a orphanage and assending to marry into the British royality, not a popular marriage, in the Early 1900's. ANY of Lucys songs are more than worth the time to view. Where is the evidence that she is co-producing Rosie. She has no experience in theatre let alone the production of a West End musical. She is currently taking acting classes to be able to act whilst singing. Her only stage experience is in school productions such as Annie and The Wizard of Oz. She will spend the next year learning the stagecraft she needs to carry her through 7 to 8 performances a week in a major first time role. She is now a couple of years older than expected due to the Covid break so would have 17 or 18 when the musical was originally scheduled for. She will have gained a lot of maturity in that time. She only finished college in June and I am not aware she studied drama as a subject. I could be wrong. I’ll hopefully find out in March at her concert as to how she is coping with the total change in her focus now she is spending more time on the project. I’m sure there are more experienced producers/directors on board leading Lucy to produce the work required of her. I imagine she has her own ideas to put forward but I suspect that is far as her direct involvement will go.
@@stuartwhyte4959 Well it was mentioned in an article on Lucy's facebook page, I do not report info unless I have backing, I have only reported what has been written on Lucy's pages. Of course there are a crew producing the musical and Lucy is a part of that. and yes she has acted, she is a natural, you are just a doubter, get on board and quit being negative !!!!
