Ukraine is going to need BILLIONS to rebuild. That should come from Russia too. Luckily, if you go through the frozen funds, there are plenty more Russian foreign assets, WHERE THOSE CAME FROM. Multi million dollar condos, businesses, Lear jets, townhouses in New York, London, L.A. etc. And the list goes on...
It is a good thing that Ukraine gets the interests of the russian money. After moscow has to pull out of Ukraine, the whole money is needed to compensate for the damages!

Give the Ukrainians ALL the frozen Russian assets.
There are significant international issues with _seizing_ the assets of another country, and the US, EU, UK etc etc are all aware of the dangers of setting such a precedence. So the decision to use only the profits from _frozen_ assets is a neat idea.

Putin will get Medvedev and Solovyov to bleat about "nukes", just like they've done every month since the invasion.

The principle amount of Russky financial assets remain frozen while the generated interests/dividends are given as a loan to Ukraine with loan repayment via the generated interests/dividends in the future?
