Both the drummer, Kai, and basist, Jukka is now with Nightwish.. Greetings from nwAse Sweden
Wintersun Drummer Kai Hahto was filling in Nightwish (NW) original Drummer and his friend Jukka Nevalainen (1996-2014, the one also in Wacken 2013 videos, stepped aside because of insomnia) on 2014 recording sessions and then continued the Tours and finally became official NW member on July 2019. After the NW Bassist Marko Hietala (2001-2020, the one also in Wacken 2013 videos) left the band Drummer Kai Hahto suggested his Wintersun former colleague Bassist Jukka Koskinen to fill in as a session Bassist and he was accepted on May 2021and on August 2022 he was also announced as an official NW member. Wintersun has been for years in indefinite break and the guys took the Nightwish jobs to earn a living and to continue to develop their careers.

Anyone who can find Wintersun this early in their reaction channel is very special in my eyes. Thank you sir for finding and hopefully spreading the word about the greatest band so many have never heard of and may never discover. Someone is bound to suggest Time and I cannot wait.

Funny that you mention his lungs. Jari (the singer) is missing a part of his lungs due to tuberculosis, which makes his stamina even more impressive. Good reaction. When people discover Wintersun I suggest them Jinjer - and vice versa. Two very different bands but both are special to me and they produce music which is unique and sets them apart from many others. What these bands have in common is the amount of sheer talent and musicianship.
