Can't wait for your reaction to "Loneliness/Winter". Such a gorgeous and personal song, and probaby Jari's best vocal performance.
Guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari plays in band Smackbound also. You should check them also. Netta Laurenne, female powerhouse on vocals! They did great DIO cover, my favourite.
Wish you could react next whole album ( 4 songs) of Wintersun - Forest Seasons. Maybe best concept album there is, so that's why I ask to listen all those songs one by one in order that they are recorded to album. That album is currently their newest and different one. My understanding Jari is playing all the instruments on that album and has asked help only for chorus parts of song.
You really should check out some of their debut album. Like *"Sleeping Stars", "Starchild", "Winter Madness" or "Battle Against Time".*
The production isn't as big as on "Time" but songs are still amazing and tend to be a bit more speedy.
Also Death and Healing is really beautifull! 🤘🏼

The guitarist you asked about, Teemu Mäntysaari, has played and is playing in other bands. Most of all in Smackbound. I don't recall Teemu singing in that band, I wasn't paying attention to it. But that band has a wonderful female vocalist, Netta Laurenne. Love their 1st album "20/20" - Netta replied to my comment a few months back that their 2nd album is coming very soon. Netta BTW is a good friend of Battle Beast's Noora Louhimo: they made an album together too. "Hurricane Love" and "Viper's Kiss" are quite good in that album, but unfortunately most of the songs weren't much to my liking, although both vocalists are. Noora and Netta both live quite close to me, so I admit "same town" bias what comes to them.

Hey, great to see this wandering over here from your The Warning videos. I love Wintersun and was lucky to see them live just before Covid lockdown ended live music for 18 months. They are great sounding live and very personable, telling jokes and stories between songs.
I enjoyed watching your video, wearing my Wintersun hoodie, in the plane to Amsterdam where I'm going to see Nightwish tonight and tomorrow 🤘🤘

I recorded it this morning and it has been blocked. I have sent a dispute as I have seen others react to it but not as deep as my analysis is. It may take a few weeks for them to either deny or accept my dispute, but wanted to give you a message back directly. If it never gets to see the light of day, know I freaking loved it and would love to do more of their stuff if I get to. The lyrics were insanely good!!!

Please don't do Loneliness before you do the rest of the album. Loneliness doesn't hit nearly as hard without Eternal Darkness being heard first, ideally all at once.
Also, I like to think of Whispered like if Wintersun were obsessed with Japan and Samurai, if that gives you a bit of a hint as to what to expect from the next one from Whispered. Whispered is definitely a bit darker and heavier though.

Actually not, that song was Loneliness (Winter) from album Forest seasons.
