Breathe was such a great song. I think I was 6 when that song came out and I bumped that shit nonstop along with Smack My Bitch Up and Firestarter. I stopped listening after that album, but I LOVED the version of Omen they did for the Kick-Ass soundtrack! That shit slams.
in the prime of Spice Girls time my sister had 3 pre-teen daughters who lived and breathed their music. They all had their own favorites and I was the "cool uncle" who took them to see the movie when it came out. It grows on you like a fungus if you let it.
The Spice Girls really WERE normal people. That's a major reason they did so well, because they were so normal. That level of "normal" was unusual even for the UK! Somebody tried to manufacture them, but they didn't like the prospective manager so they gave him the slip and got somebody else. Victoria (Posh Spice, now Victoria Beckham), was very business-savvy even back then, nobody was going to get away with ripping the girls off with her there. Even the video is pretty much an extended pitch reel. That's what they did when they were pitching themselves to find representation/record labels. Mel C would jump on the table and do backflips, Victoria would be slightly standoffish, Emma being cute and bubbly, etc. - their characters were pretty good representations of who they really were.
Brad's facial expressions say's it all haha, i remember the spice girls quite well i was 14 when they became famous, and they were on the radio 24/7 ah memories haha
Brad's reaction in the beginning has me in tears...then actually breaking down the song? hahahah Yeah Brad you should to "Boyz N Tha Hood" reaction! For Lex!
My daughter played this nonstop the year it came out. She finally snapped out of it so my wife bought her a karaoke machine so I could listen to my daughter sing it (amplified) for another year. This was a funny reaction. Lex is rockin out and Brad looks like he’s trying to hold down his cornflakes.
I think we all just watched Brad die a little bit inside. This has to be the funniest reaction yet. Love it! And for the record, in was about 21 when this came out, and I still don't care for it. But watching this was the best thing ever! You two are the best!
This is giving me flashbacks to those long road trips across the Country where my sister would insist the entire family listened to Spice Girls for hours.
Hard to overstate just how big the Spice Girls were back in the day, especially in the UK. They were everywhere. This is actually a great video - it's done in a single take with no cuts which is hard to do. (Actually there are a couple of cuts but you can't tell).
This is so funny to watch! I literally watched this video with my hubby a few months back and I said the same thing! I dont remember the lyrics being so bad! 😂
Go back and listen to christina aguilera's genie in a bottle. That sht is disturbing, especially if you think about how old she was, when she was performing that song. I never noticed until i listened to it as an adult.
Was feeling nostalgic and was listening to Spice Girls when I came across this video. I was super pumped. Cuz I watch a lot of y'all's Tom Macdonald Reactions and adore you guys so much! This honestly made my whole day! Lex had so much fun reliving this song 🤣 as I'm sure all the other fans of the SG did. Love you guys 🤍 Keep up the amazing work! Do more Spice Girls! 🤣🤣
I was 14 when this song was released. I remember walking into the local record shop one Saturday afternoon, back when they had listening stations. I was hoping to find a rock/punk band on the player but found this instead. I remember that I hated it, but thinking 'Oh my God, this is going to absolutely be huge'. I couldn't have even imagined what would come next! Great reaction, absolutely adore Lex losing herself in the music! :-)
Love your reaction here! 🙂I will say you guys should react to more Spice Girls songs like " Viva Forever" " Goodbye" " Let Love Lead the way"I'm sure you will like it, because people forget that Spice Girls also had really beautiful ballads. As for faster songs" Spice up your life" or " Stop" 🙂
Guysssss! If you wanna be my boyfriend you gotta make friends with my friends and let me zigagazagaah (as in *z snap*). Like let me be in charge. The 90s was innocent wrapped in euphemism. Of course it meant getting jiggy with it but there used to be nuance and “getting jiggy with it” wasn’t just the nananannanannananaa dance either. Party fav from 3-73yrs old in the uk haha
It's so weird when you listen as an adult to a song you used to jam to as a kid and you suddenly hear what you didn't get back then. 👀😂 Also, Brad, your observation that girls will in real life ditch the friends for a guy was Savage. 😂😭😂 And accurate. 😂
Lex! I am so with you - this is my childhood music! My very first concert was the Spice Girls and I was OBSESSED. We could've played spice girl barbies together.
I was a dude in my early 20s back then, scary spice was hot, she's still spicy hot. That's all I remember about spice girls, mindless pop music when I was into playing punk Rock and metal on guitar and drums,
@@ChairView each to their own 😉, Baby wouldn't have been able to keep up with me back then, couldn't see her mixing up with punk rock, whereas Scary could easily rock out on Metal, more my style, scary hard-core 😎
Oh my lordy, Lex. You remind me of my daughters. They dance and sing to this song, well any Spice Girls song, every time, 3ven now as full grown adults. They even know the freakin dance moves to this thing. I just love watching you react to this. You bring the same smile to my face that my daughters do. Love it! I had to see the stinking spice world film over and over again. It was not my choice. Hahaha.
great reaction Brad and Lex.. You always keep it 100%. P.S. Thanks for taking a picture of Lorna Shore, Song "to the hellfire".. On the livestream, you made me SOO Happy, Pls understand i have problems with my Bank, and Ive tried SO hard to send a money superchat.
I could picture me taking Lex to all the gay clubs in my hometown and she'd know every single song, seems great fun! 😂😂 Going up as a kid during the 90s in the UK every Spice Girls song was a pop.
Brad, i had EZ on cassette. Lol! I was all over the place with my music. My kids must be about yalls age. They grew up listening to all kinds of music. At 3, my son was all about rob zombie. My daughter knew all the words to karma chameleon. Lol!
Brad, what's up? This is great! All about female friendship and recognition of Girl Power. (I wish Scary Mel B. was still on AGN...) This song pairs well with Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."
I love watching Lex reaction listening to this again and Brad your reaction is priceless hahahaha…show Brad the video 2 become 1 and see what he thinks of them then.
Omg. I was 4 when it came out, and my older sisters used to bang to it and music like this. Thankfully we didn't know English back then, haha. I guess it's the "WAP" song of the 90's. In Poland, this song was everywhere. There were even Bubble Gums for kids "Spice Girls" edition. You could not escape it.
Brad's reaction to the song is hilarious! You have to watch more Spice Girls and check out Destiny's Child! Lex is pretty much us girls. How we acted with songs like this.
Lex on a whole different vibe with this one. 🔥 🔥 Brad just in the Wtf is this bag 😂😂
Brad didn't deserve this lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@HighSocietyDrumLabs I actually think he did, just for all the pain he puts me through on discord. Thanks Lex! haha.
@@MampzUK i think lex grow up in the hood hahaha. Bro this was 90s vibe
@@TheBoytitsExperience who invited you. 😂
@@TheBoytitsExperience cute 😂
You guys are hysterical. Lex is constantly bouncing & smiling & brad looks like he's sitting on a cactus 🌵
Exactly LOL
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩
Lol, so acurate!
"So this was back when celebrities looked like normal people" hahaha that's awesome!!
Imagine what us average people looked like back then. It was bad. He's not wrong.
Lex was like a kid again watching this! So cute!
That was awesome. Brad looked like he was watching someone spray painting his truck on hidden video. This was happy music back in the day.
LOL
That's a fantastic analogy and image 😁
Brad we now know why you love LEX, She is innocent and happy and it's infectious.
👆 Exactly this!!
and cute
The sheer joy from Lex was fantastically wonderful.
Laughed so hard at your very different facial expressions and reactions to this! Love watching Lex get into it and Brad so confused 🤣
LMAO, Brad's disdain... 😂 A few lines in and we're seriously analysing Spice Girls' lyrics, did not expect this video today (or ever) haha.
Funniest reaction ever, the look of happiness and excitement in Lex's face and the look of bewilderment on Brad's 😂🤣
Lol, Brad so straight faced while Lex was bouncing. Here is an old school UK band you have to check out, Prodigy and their song Breathe
Oh my days YES! My favourite band ever probably. So unique. They should do "Poison" and so many others too. The Poison video is so cool though.
Breathe was such a great song. I think I was 6 when that song came out and I bumped that shit nonstop along with Smack My Bitch Up and Firestarter. I stopped listening after that album, but I LOVED the version of Omen they did for the Kick-Ass soundtrack! That shit slams.
Prodigy-Smack my Bitch Up uncut was wild. The reveal at the end was 😳
@@TheJokesterSCR I was shocked when they played 'Stand Up' on Kick-Ass. love that song.
Brad totally misinterpreting the lyrics and dismissing it ss "only girl talk" is the exact thing spice girls stood up against for. GIRL POWER!!!
"They love a double decker bus"...Yes girl they do! 😂
The wifey kills me, she's so excited ahah this is wholesome
I’m a black dude from London, I loved the spice girls.
I was 17 when song hit and the first time my girlfriend played this for me I made the same stank face that Brad made 🤣
This chick has A+ energy! Infectious. :)

It's well done Pop music. That's what it's made to do. Even if you don't particularly care for Pop, when it's done right, you can't resist.
In a good way 😉
Lex had a smile on her face like a kid does on Christmas morning.
Man, the girl made me smile. Plus I never knew the Spice Girls lyrics went so deep until I listened to her explain them!

Usually I enjoy Lex getting so into the music they are reacting to. But the look of torture and disdain on Brad's face overshadowed anything else 😂

Was not expecting this! Lol loved the comments tho! Facial expressions were 🔥
If you grew up in the 90's this song puts an instant smile on your face. Classic 90's right here
Brad we all feel ur pain bro over here in UK but least some eye candy bro 😂😂
I'm with ya. I was only ten when they came out but I remember the Brit Awards in 96.
They had the fastest selling & the highest grossing stadium tour in 2019 in the UK so I think you might be wrong
Your face when she thought "Crazy Rap" by Afroman was "Cruisin' in my '64" by Eazy-E. I'm cryin'. XD
With you, though.
FYI at 7:35 minute mark; the one in the middle was the often overlooked 6th member of the group: OLD SPICE!
