It's so weird seeing Americans react like this. As a Brit, spice girls were absolute life. Every young girl loved them, listened to them, danced to them, wore their clothes, lived and breathed spice girls 😂

I'm American and trust me, we were the same way. Like they said in the video, the pandemonium was so bad they regularly got compared to the "British invasion." I remember I sooooobbed when they came to my town in 1997 and my mom didn't get me tickets. I went over to my friends' house where they were getting ready for the show and they were dressing up like Baby Spice and I was devastated that I wasn't going. I'm 30 years old and I'm still salty about something that happened when I was 7. 😂

Teens nowadays just dont realize how big the Spice Girls were back in the 90s. They were global phenomenon and household name. Everyone was crazy about them back then.
Even in the early noughties I loved spice girls, s club 7 and steps.

I graduated from high school in 1997. Yes, Spice Girls was everywhere. The 90s were amazing, music wise. Just look at the VMAs. Very diverse from No Doubt to Blackstreet, Jewel to Shania Twain, you listened to EVERYTHING and appreciated it all.
I literally wore out my VHS tape of the Spice World movie. And I cried so hard when they reunited at the Olympics. Spice Girls=LIFE
I begged my dad to let me order it on pay per view, he gave me massive side eye, but caved in 😂
I still LOVE the Spice Girls and I'm almost 30. I also have met Victoria Beckham and Melanie B several times and they are 2 of the nicest people ever!
Victoria's nice? She always seems a bit off from what the press says. Melanie B comes off as really nice with a great sense of humour though. So...is the paparazzi at all wrong about both or just Victoria?

It saddens me how they didn't realise how iconic the Spice Girls were and still are. There is no girl group to compare to them, they are THE girl group. I guess it's because I'm from Britain, so they are more iconic here than in America.
They were AWESOME! I had a lot of there stuff(still do) lol...dolls, posters,magazines,etc...they had a lot of stuff.

It's so funny to hear the kids talk about how tame the Spice Girls are compared to groups of today. I was in 4th grade when Wannabe came out and all I remember is how risque and provocative they were. They were so sexual my mom wouldn't let me watch them or listen to their music.

I feel kind of old now. :D Being 31 the Spice Girls remind me of my teenage years and it is pretty funny to see teenagers now reacting to them. Another funny thing is than no one of them commented that current fashion teenagers and young adults wear is totally inspired by the 90s. Sometimes I wonder if they really like that style or if they just dress up as 90s kids.

Being born in 88, and grew up in the 90s, I remember by 97 to 2000, the Spice Girls were everywhere. At my elementary school, during lunch break, some students did their own choreography to their songs. They mainly loved doing "Spice Up Your Life." Being 35 years old male, I've really come to appreciate them. Watching their music videos and interviews, it feels so nostalgic. Returning to a time where a large majority of music that came out in the 90s were so much fun.

The Spice Girls take me back to hanging out with my childhood BFF Rachel, and we were crazy about Spice Girls! xD
That "baby" look was actually a style in the 90s. It was really popular to wear dresses like that with mary jane shoes and high pigtails. People also used to suck on pacifiers (even boys and "gangster / hood guys". I was pretty young at the time but there were these plastic pacifiers that were marketed to tweens so we could feel like the "big kids" They were glittery and multi-colored. I learned much later that the whole pacifier fad had to do with drug culture and raves.
