Why do you want to get into digital marketing? I got into Digital Marketing because I wanted to learn a valuable skill to help me become a better entrepreneur! And get a higher-paying job of course. 😀
Same. I want to get into Digital marketing so my schedule can be more flexible (entrepreneur masterminds/groups like meeting around Noon), build my entrepreneur skills, and visit out of state family when I want!
Crap. That’s literally the same reason I’ve done it. Not that entrepreneurship has been easy for me, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster tbh. I notice I judge myself harshly when looking for a job because I judge myself on my entrepreneurial results. I also feel I need to wear all the hats and always need to learn more skills, which can lead to burnout. I’m trying to have a better approach bc this isn’t sustainable… any advice is appreciated 🙏
I'm actually taking the same course right now. I quit my job now I'm dedicating time to learn a new skill and switch careers I no longer want to continue working in something I don't love.
I’ve been trying to get into this role . My background was only customer service experience. However, I have tried to build my own website e-commerce, started from the beginning to the end and of course I am not an expert but to be honest, to get this job without experience is very challenging. Thank you for your video. I will try until I get there.
That's what I worry about. Everyone is trying to sell a course and the courses don't necessarily prepare you for the jobs. So I worry I'll waste money.
I am currently worked as digital marketer. I broke into this industry with no experience. I know several people who have done this too. The most important step you need focus on is your communications skills during the interview. The will help you land digital marketing job faster than someone who experience but cant communicate. Good luck
Thank you for the tips, new subscriber here. I am 24 credits away from graduating with my Marketing BS but know I need more digital marketing experience as well as certifications to stand out. I appreciate the tips on how to get even a bit of experience as a new grad
i was wondering if my previous job as a customer service rep and ads assessor would somehow play a role into me switching to digital marketing career. im really into this job, im starting to study through google's coursera and ive watched your video on about that topic, i really appreciate people like you who are helping people like me in grabbing opportunities and better future.
Great video, I love your content. I just started the 6month coursera certification course. One thing that I am curious about though is that you had skills already in photography and videography, But the course doesn’t teach photography skills or how to make content does it? It seems like that gives an advantage because I don’t know how to make high quality content the way you do, but it seems like an essential part of your role that probably played a huge role in you getting hired
yeah more jobs open but they all want 3 years expiernece. Which is great if you already have in house expeirence but if you are new. then there is not Enough support especially over here in the UK. Not enough apprenticeships, its a complete gamble. I have valuable skills and potential from years of self taught learning and research. Its a complete gamble luck fake job. If you got in. You are lucky (idc if you say you worked hard, other people worked harder and still havent got in) If i could go back 2 years, I would have chosen business studies or graphic design as they have much more history and available, supported positions as well as being respected more due to the authenticity of the job.
Would you be willing to send over a sample of your resume? I am in a different industry but have worked in wedding photography for the last 4 years. I am looking towards this path and curious how to transform my resume using this experience
