    Donald:
I've serviced my brakes for years and I am always open to new tips and ideas. I was compelled to view your entire video. Great instruction and tips; extremely thorough.
BTW, here in the States we refer to that socket as a 6-point versus a 12-pt. The 12-pt allows for finer movement in tight spaces but as you noted is more likely to strip the bolt head due to less surface area being torqued upon.
Thanks to you for your video!

Yeah, they are reliable as hell. My mom got one and has never had a problem until she drove onto a construction site and went over a bump way too hard and busted the oil pan, every last bit of oil drained on her way home until they engine blew. I was just gonna give her the one I bought for the engine and a parts car but engines for them are easy to come across so I kept it. It should run forever with basic maintenance.

You R right Cattachmore, the rotors are indeed too tight to take the wight of the GALANT. They also advised me to change the entire break shoes with 276mm which are fitted on newer GALANTS but for now I would rather look for alternative disks of satisfactory quality. On my end if I was better financially too I would get the EBC rotors with greenstuff pads - they reccommend these for being very good. But yet - economy. Thank you for your attention and for the detailed video ;)!

@Suppressing5RE Hi mine was the same when I bought it, and it was the front driver side disc or as some people call them Rotors anyway is was warped, seemingly a very common problem on the Galant due to the fact that they seem way to small for the size and weight of the car, so I replaced them both on the front and the pads, it was a easy job apart from one disc was stuck hard to the hub, but with the help of a good harmer it came of, been perfect ever since, cost around £60 pounds in total

I got the same car. Bought it 3 weeks ago. I got a problem with the brakes - the pedal is vibrating (along with the entire chassis) when killing the speed more pressingly. I trust one of the brake shoes is holding or there is a curved brake disk (probably as a result). I was wondering weather I should go through this procedure solo or should leave it for somebody with the relative capabilities. Never worked on a vehicle. This doesn't look too complicated to be done though.

I recently bought my sisters 2002 galant, what is the reason for front disk and rear drum? Does it have something to do with the parking brake which I never use anyways because it's an automatic?

@Suppressing5RE If I had been better of money wise I would have bought the drilled and vented discs as I am sure it would be the best choice, how ever I was skint at the time lol but the normal ones work fine. Give it ago nothing complicated just clean the new disks as they are coated in oil to stop them rusting, and when its all back together then pump the brake peddle before going on the road as this pushes the pads in to place.

Yes it's a great engine fires up every time even down to minis 18 cel in the winter here but no problem first turn and she fires up. and pretty fast :) besides I like it's mean look :)

She drove it until there was absolutely no pad left, I did the front already, had to get new disks and one new caliper, the rear is a mess I can't believe she let it get that bad. Now it's gonna cost 3x's as much than it would've if she would've had the pads replaced when the brake censor started.
