The introduction to ERTMS; an explanation

ProRail will replace the current train protection system with ERTMS in the coming years. The abbreviation ERTMS stands for European Rail Traffic Management System and is the European standard for train protection and control. ERTMS is the digital rail platform of the future. Its introduction is a huge job and affects the entire rail sector. In this video, ProRail shows what needs to be done the coming years to introduce ERTMS on eight track sections in the Netherlands.
