Love the mix of silent and narrative, keep up the good work mate
Much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed the video 🛠️🤘
Waiting for more videos for a while. I’m glad you are still bringing new content.
Working on so many things in the same time. Soon will be more 🛠️🤘
Now i see why carbon parts are so expensive👍🏼
Hey
Yes, the labour is the huge part of the price. 🛠️🤘
Again a very satisfying video to watch! And I love the easy that the lug-on for the recessed bolt came loose from the mold.. It would not have been the fist time that someone has broken the mold, releasing the plug..
And nice that you have extended the vacuum bag outside the oven, to maintain the vacuum within.. 🤘
I have carbon front and rear huggers, side panels and fairing inserts, water cooler covers on my 01 FZ1. I shot violet pearl with 3 coats clear.
LOVE IT. Get tons of compliments. Love your process. Keep up the great work
Amazing video as usual 👏 👌 ❤️
Thanks again! 🛠️🤘
Love the work 👍
Thanks man! 🏍️🛠️👍
Very good work! Nice idea on template making too👌🏼
Thanks so much! 🛠️🤘
@@zrcarbon9937 do you have instagram?
I'm glad to finally see a new video from you!
Took a long time to get back on track 👍
More to come 🛠️🤘
Amazing work as always! Love to see the great craftsmanship. I’m just wondering all this work is for one off part for your project? Or you have some plans on making more
Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying the content
Yes I would like to sell all the parts around the world! Are you interested in any of them?
🛠️🤘
Wellcome back dude!Always good contents, thank you
Thanks so much man! It was a long time to get back on track 🛠️🤘
Amazing freaking work man.
Top Job, Sir 👌
Thank you! Cheers! 🛠️🤘
Bien bon travail c'est parfait
Hey man, nice work, great looking parts! Is that a 3D printed plug that you bonded on the part? I was definitely curious how you’d laminate those pieces!
I’ve enjoyed following your build so far, looking forward to the rest 👊🏼
That's great, hope the next video is coming soon.
Thanks!
Very soon! 🛠️🤘
Amazing! Do you think the home oven is enough to cook prepreg?
Really nice job, I have to do almost the same part, but with hand layup will be a Nightmare 😅😢
regarding the temperature its definitely good enough. Obviously you get more pinholes and porosities than in an autoclave process, because there is less pressure to compress the air bubbles. For better results at home doing a debulk (pulling vacuum) after the first layer improves the pinhole issue. also don't use autoclave prepreg as it has less resin in it and might seem dry if process only with the 1bar you get when pulling vacuum.
@@leoa.633 Thanks for the reply, the thing that concerned me the most is the curing time, for prepreg is usually 6/7 hours with temperature increased during the time.
It's very difficult to achieve this on the regular oven IMHO. But the result looks great, so maybe it's just fine.
Also like you said maybe debulk and specific prepreg are the key! damm this video made me want to try, but my wife wouldn't be happy I guess ahahaha
Just like as mr. leoa.633 said. 🤘
@@robertopaolucci881in fact following the perfect temperature ramp up and down is mandatory to achieve best mechanical properties , in this case as the parts are only visual it doesn’t make too much . And mechanically wise difference is in between 10-30% less properties , which is still several times more than the OE plastic 😊. So you’re definitely right in your thinking , in this case that’s fine ✌🏻. And what a beautiful set of parts ! Even if I’m dealing with prepReg everyday i was really curious how the deep and thin screw hole would turn out 🤩. Well done Mr ZRCARBON 🤩
@@Noldimo22
thanks, this is exactly what I wanted to hear hahahaha. this makes prepreg more accessible to us humans. I guess it's time to buy the vacuum pump. and yes you are right, the fixing part seems to come out very well, usually with carbon we make them wider and with more draft. beautiful, I can't wait to try it at this point.
Looks really cool 🎉
Thanks, I appreciate that 🛠️🤘
Looking to get into making a few carbon parts. In need of a vacuum pump and was curious what pump are you using? I like how quiet it is.
El material es vinilo de carbono o es fibra de carbono con autoadhesivos con cinta doble contacto?
Где такую можно купить ?
Amazing craftsmanship! 🌟🏍
Thanks so much!
Great Video! One question: Why do you use the filleting wax on the corner of the mould? Doesn't that offset the true edge of the part?
Thanks for the compliment.
The reason for that to cover up any tiny gaps, wholes between the barrier and the part. So the gelcoat won’t get in there. That’s the beauty of it. It has to be done in a way that won’t change the shape of the pattern. 🛠️🤘
Very nice! How much lighter?
Thanks! I didn’t check the weight. Probably not much difference. 🏍️🛠️👍
What is the purpose of baking products? Can you just vacuum seal it and not bake it?
J'adore 😊
Hey nice work, what clear coat did you use? I'm looking for a good UV resistant one.
Hey
Thanks for the compliment.
I used and regularly using Mipa 2K HS Carbonic lacquer
🛠️🤘
what carbon do you use?
XC110 210g and xc110 450g prepreg 🛠️🤘
@@zrcarbon9937 im from indonesia. Im intersting for to buy
How did you make the white pin you glue on at the end?
Hi
I 3D printed the pins
Sir what kind of carbon cloth you used..thanks
Hi
I used prepreg carbon fiber.
The carbon cloth is pre impregnated with resin. 🛠️🤘
What’s the type of resin that are u using? Epoxy?
Hey
I used prepreg carbon fiber. The carbon fiber is prepregnated with resin. Has to be stored in freezer. 🛠️🤘
Какая стоимость этих двух деталей +-?
Hi, can you share what material you use to made those lugs? Thanks
I used PLA but only for the prototype. In the future I’ll use cf
Is there a possibility to made those sort of lugs of carbon fiber? As they looks very tiny, I just can’t get my hear round how to made them with cf. I think the 3d printed lugs is the easiest way to made them. Is that epoxy will stick to the abs or petg lugs? Any thought! I’m asking as I’m in process right now to make my own cf motorcycle parts too. Thanks for sharing
@@sativa800 You can "forge" them with 3d printed molds
@@zrcarbon9937 You can use ABS for better chemical compatibility with the styrene in the resin and the adhesive
How long time u baking in over sir
Hey
Around 8 hours
do you actually use epoxy resin on vacuum?
Hey
No I don’t. I’m using prepreg carbon fibre. It has resin already.
Air Fryer works too?
Thanks for the idea! 😆 I have to try that! And I tell you what, I started thinking of to try an oil fryer action 🤣
🏍️🛠️😫
Здравствуйте! Где такую ткань можно купить ?
Hey
I have links below the video in the description. Also in China there is some good source of prepreg as well.🛠🤟
Why not use this opportunity to do some really nice art work with the patterns.
*Co$t? Or did I miss that?*
No you didn’t miss that. I didn’t do a cost breakdown yet. 🛠️🤘
@@zrcarbon9937 I'm pretty curious, because I am restoring a car where many parts are not available or really expensive, so my choices are limited.
👏👏👏🙏
bonjour combien pour les deux slp
Hey
180 euros
a 636-on ez nekem is carbonbol van. Igaz, csak a latszo reteg carbon, alatta szerintem uvegszal!😂😂😂
