I've seen this before in several other vehicles, one a Chevy Equinox and another a Hyundai Sonata. Both times it ended up being the ECU (engine control unit) or ECM (engine control module). Once replaced with a new one, the issue went away.
yep, that would make sense. I brought that up as a possibility after their ECU update failed to fix the issue, but the dealer dismissed it as a possibility. That may have very well been the problem.
Isn't the lexus much smaller than cx 90?
yes it's a 2 row suv like my Infiniti QX70. Our needs changed. In 8 years of owning the 3 row CX90 we only used the 3rd row once 🤷♂
Did they try to replace the spark plugs?
