the tiger t618 chipset is much more powerful than the tiger t310 of the pocket 2 plus, it's an octacore chipset versus a quadcore and it's a big upgrade. The only thing I don't like about the pocket 2s is the 3.5 inch screen, too much small, I would have put a 4 inch in 4/3 like the rg405m, with a higher resolution than 640x480 and I would have designed the design of the 2s like that of the pocket 3 plus, therefore thin and very optimized in terms of dimensions. however the big problem of retroid is the almost total absence of spare parts, it is not possible not to even have spare conductive membranes, it is unacceptable, retroid is an unserious and not at all professional company. I will only buy anbernic in the future!!

Does this have the rudimentary Android 11 DESKTOP MODE ? If so it can be used as an emergency mini-PC to do email, browse web, edit documents, watch youtube videos in a desktop environment. This would increase the value of this device even more ! Can you check it ?
You know what's a good emergency mini-PC? Your phone. This is a gaming device. It's sold to gamers who like to game. It's $99. Its value is incredible already and selling tons because people want to game on it, not check their email because they can't afford a phone.

The first retro handheld I got was an Odin lite it's hard to bet it. However it's kinda big as an EDC device.

What's the out of box experience like? Do I need to download a bios or set up any emus before use? Or do you just load your backup roms onto it?
It's all packed up with the emulators you need to get it running, but you will need to set up and place your own rooms and bios files

I sure there is an app for this , but with the 4:3 aspect ratio output you will be limited with its use
