I can tell you are so passionate of what you are talking about because you talk so fast, just so full of passion! Intention, quality and story telling! Got it!
usually when i listen to stuff like these i have to speed them up, but with you i slow you down and take notes - so much value delivered in such density!!
Thank you for this - I’m currently taking over the marketing for my family business. We’re transitioning from a niche brand to a luxury brand, and while I’ve drawn on my experiences and observations, I often don’t know the right questions to ask. Your video has been incredibly helpful and has really got the ball rolling!
Yep second that, I’m just starting to create and plan out how I am going to launch and run my brand. I don’t know how to express that luxury street lifestyle or evoke feelings with limited resources especially since it’s right at the start
Wow I learned quite a lot here than anywhere else. I’m glad you didn’t just touch on fonts, logo, etc. but creating a complete luxury experience as a whole! Can’t wait for pt 2!
Bro I’m not from luxury brands and apparel but I am a designer turned strategist, and the way you talk resonates so much with me. It’s how I often guide clients in Brand strategy and marketing. Love this. You on another level and like your open, generous and educational vibe.
Great value man. Super helpful. Been looking for brands that do things differently and have a unique storytelling angle, you have collated a ton of details here. It'd be great if you can release the next parts of this series on order. Would be really helpful for someone who's building to follow things in order. Maybe you can sell this as a course too, putting all these together in the series😊
Thanks Oren & hello from Dubai - mad mad learnings from all your videos but this one in particular. I used to be a category manager at adidas working on Sportswear but I had access to how Originals does world-building and takes that into brand campaigns. Now building a luxury chocolate brand, inspired by Indian royalty culture - looking forward to part 2
Also, would be super interested to know how you would approach launching a brand like this - we're currently planning an immersive pop-up experience, almost building a church/temple/mosque-like setting where people can make a pilgrimage to - for about 90 days and then move to another location.
Just want to say how much I appreciate the content you produce 🙏🏼 I come from a engineering background in the space sector but now run a brand with my partner. Everything I know is function driven, but learning more form (branding) through your content 🙌🏼
I feel like the reasons we used to buy luxury goods no longer hold true. I love the feel of well made, soft as cotton. Now that these stores are cutting corners and jacking up prices, young people don't see the value and luxury side, so they're the only ones left to see for themselves. It's sad, and I hope they'll eventually get back to basics and cut down on mass production. There are some knockoffs out there that are very well made now. Recommended *amzclothes*

The content you put out mate is next level. As an idea, Would be great to make a video on how to put together a team, for an in-house creative dept. In the scenario where you’re a brand and want to build your own in-house creative dept . What’s critical, what’s beneficial or what is more efficient to outsource. ie. I’m an art director working for a “flamingo estate” kind of brand (very similar concept actually) and, because is still a small brand I end up doing from very junior graphic design stuff all the way to social, influencer management, consulting, strategy and even product development. I struggle finding the right help at this critical time on the brand where we launched just recently and I need to take stuff off my plate. This is prob very hard to adress from your standing point, but any video on how to build creative teams for in-house creative depts would be insane, and could be interesting. Anyway Thanks again for the content you’re a legend!
Totally - can def hit this and the short answer is the most important people to bring on isn’t the perfect slot, it’s the slot that you have someone that can take work off your plate right now. If you’re doing everything, plug one specialist in, then another, but their skill and ability to execute for you independently is prob the most helpful versus a perfect team architecture
By focusing on both product quality and storytelling, they're setting a benchmark for how brands can authentically engage that crucial 1% of luxury consumers
I wish CEOs were watching these type of videos. It is extremely hard to convey this to companies who think marketing is a 2 week campaing to blow sales up. Great breakdown.
There's a big difference between luxury and premium brands. Luxury brands are all about exclusivity, heritage, and that "wow" factor, with marketing that’s subtle and super focused on prestige. Premium brands are high-end too, but they're more about quality and value-still great, but more accessible. Also, promotion and marketing aren’t the same thing. Promotion is just one part of marketing, like ads and discounts. Marketing is the whole strategy-research, product development, pricing, and everything else that builds a brand. It’s important not to mix those up!
Amazing content! SO glad I found your channel and immediately subscribed. I’m about to launch my brand this summer and I know I need a creative director to get my brand to where I want it to be in the next few years, Could you shed some light as to how to hire the right one? (where to find them, how to interview them, etc.)
Great video 🎉 You had me at Ambush explaining their esthetics. Jacquemus = Jacqu'euh'mewss ;) (they also spell the euh where he's from) (his grandma said that to Loic Prigent)
I’m really struggling with locating my brand given how much im nomad and don’t necessarily want to change that. Production-fullfilment-hq & hires these might all be different locations, how would you approach this?
I’m doing this now - warehouse in North Carolina, I’m in OC, photos happening overseas - I think wherever all it is it’s about cultivating a sense of community with the team. Hooking everyone up with gear getting everyone on video once in a while. I think the best new orgs are gonna be very worldwide. Then wherever you are becomes the creative hub
Thank you for this valuable content, do you think having a limited item or a exclusive item helps with luxury brands? Such as a 1 of 1000 piece or only limited for x amount of time. Also do you think it's smart to limit your "hero item" to artificially boost hype or should you try selling as much as possible for the business?
I’ll do a video all on product strategy but yes to the limited and exclusive items. The artificial hype is something i agonize a bit about but it def works
@@orenmeetsworld Thanks for the speedy reply. Who would you hire as a consultant/art director for a NYC based brand? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
Hey orenmeetsworld, really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with Best Quality Editing in your videos better than your Editor with good pricing and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Pls let me know what do you think ?
Been watching your stuff on insta for a while and love this longer form content 👍 I have a question about naming of the brand and luxury, I have a great domain and @ for a brand I am working on but because it’s kinda techy and the opposite of heritage I am hesitant in the direction to go with it. I guess teenage engineering has executed a premium product with a name which doesn’t have a luxury feel, but would like your thoughts in this, how would you position a brand into the luxury sphere with an abstract ‘non premium’ name?
Yeah there’s a big difference between premium and luxury (that video coming soon) and even with tech names you can still command a premium price point, which for many is the real goal
It's kinda funny listening all this talking about brands as if they were "independent mompap companies". Arcteryx is a branch of Salomon, that is a branch of Adidas. That's some context that cannot be overlooked. Influencers and tech are a miniscule part of a huge marketing system where the brand is incorporated. You are pretty much talking about the fantasy they sell to consumers, not a valuable realistic approach for someone trying to develop a brand in their workshop. The Ambush example is pretty much the same. Imitating brands is ok, but be aware there's not about taking nice pictures pf product or telling nice stories... is about infusing millions in real physical time and space acquiring marketing.

What content should we make when our clothing is in production and we still dont have samples yet. Apart from doing outfit collages?
Next Sundays video is all brand content- but design content and lifestyle - conceptual and personality based stuff goes a long way

Yeah it really needs to permeate through an entire company from its inception - or be a shift everyone buys in on
@@orenmeetsworld can you make a video about navigating those shifts in brands at the C level?
