I don’t know why I started watching these videos. I don’t buy/sell or collect things like this but for some reason I find it therapeutic to watch. I really enjoy your interactions with the customers and employees. You all seem like genuinely good people. Thanks for sharing!
Same...
Yee
Same. It's cause he's genuine
It's an interesting business with a lot of interesting stuff and people. And the owner is a good genuine person.
I used to watch Pawn Stars like some stuff went for hundreds of thousands of dollars like Picasso paintings, cars, bikes, relics, & more with Pete it's all cheap stuff..
Peter just seems to attract viewers like us in the tens of thousands. I come to realize it's his personification as well as trust & honesty feathered by his parrot and cat which brings animal lovers too..
Pete really just told the guy who offered $1/unit that he would do $2/unit. That is the reason his youtube channel does well. Honesty is something people desperately want to see. Wholesome interactions are attractive.
Those things sell for $72 He could afford to be generous!
Peter's selling them for $35 each on Ebay lol.
@@johne1956what are they?
Wrong! Pete gave him $2 when the guy asked for $5. Now he’s getting $35 a pop on EBay. Pete’s as crooked af just like all sellers. That’s how they succeed, taking advantage of desperate poor people.
$35 each lol
Hey Pete, it would be very cool if you were to start showing customers making purchases as well. I would love to see some of the items you have purchased being sold.
I completely agree!
Well he gave that guy $2/apiece for those BUCK ladder things and sold 116 of them on eBay at $35/apiece
Bro no cap
Don’t ya just wish that every store you visited had a guy as honest, patient and forthright as Pete?
Awesome video Pete. I like how you heard the silver right away and gave him extra money for his money. Most guys would just pocket it. A 90% 1964 Kennedy is around $7.50 melt but you can sell them for $9.00 to a coin shop (18 times face and they resell it for 22 times face). The 1965-1971 40% melt value is around $3.00 and are resold for around $3.50. You are awesome Pete.
1971 contains NO silver
@@seano5090 Correct. 40% silver halves were struck from 1965 through 1970 only.
@chaicharin, you have no clue what you are talking about, no coin shop in the USA will buy a 90% half dollar (cull) for $9.00. They would go out of business in a week, every silver dealer in America would flock to them. I been buying and selling for over 3 decades. A coin shop may offer 80% value for 90% Silver coins at best. And a 1971 has 0 Silver. By the way, most Coin shops sell 18x face at the top.
Wow very fair with guy with the coins. You are such a legit guy. He didnt know he had siver and you gave it back. Granted its not nuch, but it just shows what kind of guy you are. ❤
I missed Pete Haven't been on his channel for four days needing my fix from his show.. I'm addicted to watching him love his accent too..
I like that Pete doesn’t edit out curse words. This is how people talk. It’s not vulgar. It is what it is.
Dude was deciding on a $30 deal like it was a life or death decision 😅
That would be me ! I'm a Capi. BIG items Houses Jeeps Harleys I buy on a whim . . . EVERY time ! Little "stuff" food clothes tools etc. ALWAYS a brain freeze thinkin' I can get it cheaper/better deal . . . OCD to the maxx till I see somein' shiny 😊
Actually I thought the blue drill was the older style and the white was the newer style of drill from Makita? Did they switch back to being blue?
@@OldsmobileCutlass1969Va They never switched away from teal. White was a very old lower end homeowners focused drill kit. Hasn't been in production in like 10 years. The teal drill in the video is a much more capable brushless drill. So the guy came out good for avoiding the white model drill.
For many 30 dollars means eating for a few more days and keeping warm
@@Fit2fiftyThey should just go to a food pantry and get free food.
Great idea to place the vintage signs over your windows it's also might be a good idea to have an artist paint some of those you icons for you on some of the windows.
I thought the same thing, have someone paint replicas of the old advertising signs
Hola Manny I speak spanish too enjoyed watching :)
hasta que contratan a alguien que habla español. 👏 Bravo!
The new guy made me laugh so much!!!! Welcome Manny✌️
First time around the show here. I enjoyed it! Hola Manny I speak spanish too
pronto voy a comprar algo para charlar con el Manny
More of the GreenHorn 💚 Welcome Manny please stay for a while! Stay for a hell of a ride 🚗🔥
Man Pete you're a Saint for putting up with everyone that comes through the door. Nice addition to the shop. Looks like a good team player.
Totally understand what you're saying here.. BUT could you imagine a youtube channel where the content comes to you?
Hey Pete the store looks great! I love your new helper Manny! He’s HILLARIOUS I almost fell outa my chair when you asked him how he liked being there after about 12 hours in and he looked at Ryan and said “ it’s been one hell of a ride!” That made me laugh so hard I had to watch it over and over again the look on Ryan’s face!! 😂😂Thanks for making my day! Love watching you guys!
Cheers!
Jeff in Massachusetts
The difference in just a couple years of what kind of items u used 2 buy and display at the store compared 2 now is nutz ,love ya Pete
Welcome Manny, looks like your going to fit right in at the shop. The show must go on.
I like him and he speak Spanish like me so I buy but much questions en español better for me.
Patience is a skill my friend and you are blessed with it😊😊
I just can't get over Honey's face! She is just adorable ❤
Update, the yellow harnesses Pete bought for $2, he's selling them for $35, and just online he's sold 115 of them since
What are the things
What are they
As of 1-12-2024 he sold 120 @ $35 that's $4200 and still has 80 left and he was uncomfortable buying them @ $5 each which would have been $1000 but made a great score @ $2 each for a total of $400. So as of now he has 80 left and made his money back and a profit of $3800
He straight up lied to that customer
He does that a lot. He tells the victim that he will sell it for xxx but always ends up selling it for yyy or even zzz
Hey Pete, All the way from Kuwait. Always looking forward to watching your video's, great content. Liked the way you offered 2$ even after the gentleman dropped his price from $5 to $2 and then $1. Sorry I did not get what was the item. Thanks
I don’t know what it was either.
I like the idea of the old signs on the building, just make sure they are theft-proofed. I loved seeing your sweet kitty, Honey at the end.
The signs are going inside, he's painting the exterior panels black as he said in video.
Fantastic Vlog Chaps - always a great catch-up. Puts a smile on my face. Not sure about your blacked out windows though?? Maybe keep the store warm throughout winter
Great idea for the windows! That will make your place look cool as shit!
Also will save you a ton on heating and cooling costs. Not to mention the building will be soooo much safer.
You should have done this years ago.
A follow up video in the future on how much it has saved you in heating and cooling costs is a must.
Interesting stuff.
Welcome Manny🤘greenhorn, then seasoned mate, then Salty Dog. Good luck!
Pete, I like the idea of the vintage signs but could it be cheaper to get a local sign painter to paint replicas onto the wood then at least they would be theft proof? Just an idea 👍
Hi Pete, I was thinking the same thing as Ben, have someone paint a mural of the signs. That way a sign wouldn't be exposed to the weather and lose value. Love your channel!
Plus it will be really really hard to find the right size paint is easy
I agree and crime is a lot less in my city
Shifty idea
Pete, just a heads up: 1971 Kennedy halves contain no silver at all. The 40% silver halves were struck from 1965 through 1970 only.
I love how you are always working on your shop and it is your passion! You are really dedicated!
super drafty?? Tell the truth. Crime is skyrocketing and you gotta board it all up before it gets worse and worse.
Common sense, if you own a business you reinvest continually, that includes all kinds of upgrades not just $$ but sweat equity
Sennheiser is one of the highest tier audio brands on the market. Modern models of over-the-ear headphones are usually upwards of $1-2k. Suprised ya didn't at least inspect them and feel out what numbers he had in mind... 😮
He says, "What are these half dollars or something?"😀Ha! Furthermore, as soon as you said kibosh, I subscribed. I live in Lake Geneva, I can't wait to visit your store which I've passed by for years. I can't wait to spend a couple bucks on some things I noticed in your video for sale on the shelves. See you then brother! Small world!
Pete this video is hilarious. Especially when you edited in the Jeopardy music, and then you look right at the camera 😂. I mean those deals are expensive just by themselves so 30 bucks that's a great deal man I would have jumped on that in a second I don't know why he's taking so long. Keep up the great work man.
I love how pete instantly knows what the coins are made of just from the jingle sound 😆
Love the sign Idea on outside of your building. Please use Tamper Proof Screws to hang them. I would be very concerned about theft you know how crazy the sign market is getting.
The interaction with the gentlemen at the 17 minute mark was my favorite negotiation from you to date Pete. It was just really real and showed a professional negotiator vs a hard working man and the patient deliberation that goes on in any hard working mans mind when hard earned money is involved. I especially loved 17:56! Lol
No he had the yips.
He was so worried about money. Then was trying to spend silver coins for face 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Drill dude was excruciating.😢
We have a saying Pete, "Pay peanuts and all you get is monkeys" .......🤣😂🤣
Going back home to BG in Nov. Im going try to swing by the shop and take a look.
I would love to see you make a couple vids of you showing us one isle at a time of what you have for sale and prices in the store.
I know things sell daily. But just to see more products you get in and display would be cool
It may bring more people to the store that way too!!
Ok to save money but what if there’s a fire? Windows are important for escape and firefighter entry. Not to mention natural light.
Hopefully Ruby still has a window to look out through !!
Yeah.and Honey. In australia its illegal for staff not to have natural sunlight windows.
cool or just paint then like fake windows
Very good idea. Also saves energy. Keep well ,,,
The Jeopardy wait theme & crickets🤣🤣🤣
It was like getting a filling at the Dentist with the drill guy ! 😬
Now you need to seal the parking lot and new yellow stripes man then your building would stand out
Welcome to the new guy, and that guy was killing me that he could not make a decision.
You know he's about to go to war when Pete says "I mean..what are you thinking, you know, etc"
Pete you got a good group of people working for you
Pete, you are a gentleman and a scholar
I'm no fire Marshall but it seems unsafe to seal up all the windows 🤔
GREEN HORN ! ! I LOVE IT ! ! 17:55
I have family that lives in the Chicago area... I might have to take a trip to your shop this summer.
The best content on you tube . Always looking forward to the next one.
LOVE YOUR IDEA FOR THE BUILDING
That Boombox radio is super collectible. As we know about the 80’s era of break dancing lol those older ones then that where always owned by everyone. I had a small collection of boom boxes wish I had saved them instead of selling them before they are worth as much as they are now. I’m gonna keep looking to see how much you get for that boom box radio.
That guy with the drills making the hour decision I guarantee u he doesn't tip. He was sweating letting go half dollars & his two dollar bills. His wife left him too.
Tizz he Dizz
Somebody is really slow today...
Not to ALL employees a battery impact is NOT a hammer dril ot is an impact..
That normal drill may have a hammer gear depending on model number..
The patience you have is awesome.
8:00 that’s couple interaction with you was so funny and wholesome lol
Glad she got it
I know you were too from making him the deal
suerte en la chamba Manny un placer
pronto paso a comprar algo chido
I believe what you called a Makita "hammer drill" is an impact driver.
Get a local artist to paint ruby on her perch and honey on her bed over one window.
looking good Peter, i got signs lots of signs, !
It was nice of you pointing out the little nugget of treasure the guy was paying with that silver coin and giving him the difference.
What were those yellow padded "Buck" doohickeys that looked like flotation pads?
“You know the boom box! The tape deck doesn’t play the greatest it kind of brahhrah” 😂😂😂😂😂
HaHaha The Jeopardy music was hilarious!
This is what they get from keep buying and buying things then later they know know what to do with it but sell it and when they get low price they don't look happy,It hurts but they did it to themselves this owners 😭 So sad to look at them not happy about too many things for less than $100 Hope they learn their lesson
Love your channel Pete. Please keep the uploads coming.
Likin' Manny 👍 gotta Adrianos "comeback" kinda vibe . . . miss that banter between ya 2 . . .
nice new shop, great video
Makita drills are some dam good drills I bought a set with case and charger new for $250 8 yrs ago when I used to work for dish network as an installer all over the state of ohio.
sure Pete hang those vintage signs then you can hire 24 hour security guards so you can be sure they don't walk away! an airbrush artist would be cheaper in the long run
Some people just cant make a decision to save their life.
Impact driver, mainly for putting screws in... Its not really a hammer drill, maybe really small holes on a soft material.. But don't treat it lile a hammer drill
What’s going to stop people unscrewing your quite collectible valuable signs off the outside of building in middle of night ?
22:08 best part of the video. The man was probably a libra. Libra's are known for taking their time and are undecided most of the time.
Lol you know that stuffs not real right
Is it on e bay where you look at items that ( the same )have sold already, and how do you do it.l looked on e bay UK and can't see how you do it.
Hey Pete awesome it’s about time every time you go outside and I used to look at that window I wanted to come out and paint it for free for you it looks amazing
Buck Fall protecters are a one time use. If they are used in a fall there no good any more. But they are really good ones.
I love this channel‼️‼️‼️
I heard that silver too! 🤣😂 He is lucky you are such an honest man. Have a great day!
What are those yellow Buck bundles?
That's what I was wondering
@Lui Sal and they go for almost 200 dollars new from buck he is gonna make a killing off of those if he sells them all to a construction company at once.
@Lui Sal Thanks.
Hey Pete, I though you were renting this place, did you eventually buy the place?
Vintage Pepsi and Coke signs would be perfect!
Jeopardy music AND crickets LOL!
hahah nice editing / music. What's that guy's issue?
Anytime i think it might be nice to resell, I watch you dealing with certain
customers and i know i hate retail.
It’s called an impact wrench not hammer drill.. hammer drill are way bigger, these little guys have a clutch and are great for drywall... love your channel
Does anyone know what the yellow BUCK items are??
(17:56 I was internally screaming “WHAT IS TAKING HIM SO LONG TO DECIDE” the the music started playing and I LOST it 🤣🤣🤣🤣)
I need to fix my monitor's colour profile, those accents look grey to me, not black.
I love listening to peoples shpeal when they are attempting to sale their wares! Love the channel, as well.
It's spiel and it's a Yiddish word
@@bethewalt7385 ew gross
Pete those buck ladder straps you can sell to construction companies and contractors for industrial and commercial and also cellphone tower installer and builder companies will buy them for easily 70-100 dollars a piece for them
That would be my dream job ⚒ there,I could even bring my eight foot robot to amuse the kids, small matter of a 3K commute though, really fun video, even the elephant man trying to makevup his mind
Best part of the show are with honey and the birds lol
impact driver. not a hammer drill.
More riveting banter with the customers .
Hey, why don’t you hire someone to paint each of those windows to look like a vintage sign? That would look cool ! Something to consider!🤔
Pete you are a patient guy,,I would have lost my mind with that guy with the drill
you should commssion local artists to paint something on them.
Let local Taggers, who are good. Do it for free!
Great idea. This way they can't steal the signs
Exactly what i was going to reply!!
Hopefully nobody drives by to come to your store, sees the boarded up windows, and they think you’re not open anymore and doesn’t stop to check
@@22ergie ⁴
Yeah those windows are kinda on the side of the building in the parking area. The main front windows still look normal.
Probably pretty hard to miss the ‘open’ sign lit up…
Yo Pete good vid. I kinda like the memes you threw in. Don’t get too crazy with them but this was a fun video. Peace brotha
He should paint, OPEN on them until he "decorates"
Great video, I always thought 1969 was the last year for 40% silver, now I wonder how many 1970 half dollars passed through my hands over the years, lol.
Chances are probably zero because 1970 halves were only made for mint sets, they were never minted for circulation
