Awesome video Pete. I like how you heard the silver right away and gave him extra money for his money. Most guys would just pocket it. A 90% 1964 Kennedy is around $7.50 melt but you can sell them for $9.00 to a coin shop (18 times face and they resell it for 22 times face). The 1965-1971 40% melt value is around $3.00 and are resold for around $3.50. You are awesome Pete.

@chaicharin, you have no clue what you are talking about, no coin shop in the USA will buy a 90% half dollar (cull) for $9.00. They would go out of business in a week, every silver dealer in America would flock to them. I been buying and selling for over 3 decades. A coin shop may offer 80% value for 90% Silver coins at best. And a 1971 has 0 Silver. By the way, most Coin shops sell 18x face at the top.

It would drive me insane spending so much time negotiating over $5 each way with a customer.
As a young man I sold cars. Once I worked at a Chevy dealership. We used to have to sit around for hours negotiating with customers over $5 or$10 a m9nth payments. It drove me crazy. Later in my career I sold Mercedes at a new car franchise store where we voluntarily offered multi thousand dollar discounts to meet current market sales. This was given to customers who didn't request a discount. We wanted to make sure they didn't find out they paid more than their friends and neighbors and be embarrased and then never buy from us again.

I think maybe plywood will last longer than that garbage. You will be tearing that all down in a year to replace, chipboard is not meant for that purpose. Get exterior plywood and paint it before you put it up to get a good coat on the edges.
