He does the heavy lifting and makes the song what it is! Again, if you can comprehend this - the songs are good despite her.
Tarja will always be the voice for me but no doubt Floor Jansen has brought the band to a new level, Annette was the underdog that held her own and I respect and admire her for that.
From her interview with Bravewords in 2014: "I could just see they could do something like what they did with Tarja to make it look like I was the evil person".
They all have there own style of singing and all have done amazing music with nightwish. Anette just did it for me. And her new single release has a amazing video and song. I'm so hafor her.

It's such a pity to divide this amazing band depending on who's the singer. I'm a new Nightwish fan and have listened like a maniac to all songs with all three singers and I got stuck with Floor but when my mood changes I listen to Anette or Tarja -solo or with Nightwish-with the same pleasure,other metal bands as well. I just can't make any discriminations,it depends on your tastes and mood of the moment.

Not sure why people are so pressed with the band writing letters to fire people. Sometimes it just doesn't work out or like Anette said, the chemistry isn't there and you have to break bonds and kick people out. It's just like an every day job, you receive a letter of resignation and you're given a notice. That's how it works everywhere, including in bands. Don't be pressed about it.
People complain that she is the weakest singer, but with her, the band ironically scored their two biggest selling albums. Floor might be the better singer, but Tuomas pumps out substandard excuses for music these days. Especially with his over-reliance on those goddamn awful Uillaean Pipes.
Anette on Nightwish was a mistake. She is good and some fans can praise her for her hard work on both records, but she wasn't right and all the hate she gotten was totally their fault.

Tuomas put a lot of hurt, rage, and passion into Dark Passion Play whereas the last two albums have been a bit pretentious.
I don't think that's really Floor's fault though. Tuomas does the majority of writing and composition for Nightwish and his own preferences and choices became less and less grand over the years. They had a very gothic, larger-than-life type of sound with Tarja; they had a much more commercial sound (leaned more hard rock, but still remained metal) with Anette; and they have a more celtic-metal feel now just because Tuomas loves that style and it suits Floor's most comfortable vocal coordinations. The celtic-metal feels about as basic as a sub-genre of metal can to me, but it's still some of the best of that style I've found.
Surtou né more? A Floor trabalhou MUITO na voz pra poder cantar as músicas antigas que a gente amava, e o Tuomas que tá mudando o estilo da banda de acordo com o que ele quer. A culpa não é da Floor, que inclusive consegue cantar as músicas da Tarja e Anette, coisa que a Anette não conseguia. Meu álbum favorito foi com a Anette, mas a Floor é maravilhosa e a química que ela tem com a banda é surreal

Concordo. Floor é superestimada, mas os álbuns com ela são horríveis. Os melhores álbuns do NW são com Anette. Ela foi a melhor das 3.

I've been a fan since 2001 and I humbly disagree with your assessment. Imaginaerum was a great album and definitely in my top-5.
