Nice review. Does the resin separate easily if left alone for a bit/ during a long print? One of the things I dislike about the Siraya Tech navy grey after a while it separates so much that it is easier for me to put the resin back in to the bottle, shake and pour it back into the vat.
Ah damn I meant to talk about that, it DOES NOT separate quickly at all.
@@3dprintingpro212 I've had it sit in the VAT for two months this fall and just had to stir it for a very little bit and it printed perfectly fine.
Thanks again for another great, practical review!
Not a fan of brittle resins at all, so I'm sticking with TGM-7 for my fragile models. It has great detail, very low failure rate, and it's difficult to break even if you try. I find blending TGM-7 works better than using Tenacious as there's no loss of detail and about the same toughness for the same cost.
So do you strictly use TGM-7 or do you mix it with other resins for good Flex? If you mix, what's the other resins you use and what ratio? thx :)
Can't buy TGM-7 right now until they restart production
Those prints are so good they look like renders!
Just amazing how quickly it seems we've gotten to this quality...
Nice catch!
Super excited for early bird pricing on the 8K! Way to go!
Anyone know if the early bird price is also available for Europe?
@@konkir4970 In the UK here so hoping so. Also have to watch those 'shipping costs' and 'taxes'.
You should do prints that actually require precision when doing a 8k anything review. These models are small but don't really show off ability of the detail too well. Try like an angel wing with alot of small feathers or a like steel weave body armor.
I think more than anything it’s the translucency of the resin.
The “accurate” or hi-res resins are more opaque. They block light bleed better and they also show details better once printed.
I’d like to see your prints all with a spray of superfine hobby primer on them. Otherwise, we can’t really see the true detail.
it's amazing how no "reviewer" tries to show us such obvious tests, it really makes you think...
@@sneedsfeedandseed1795 Its because theyre bloggers, not actual reviewers. Goes for a lot of industries/hobbies these days
I have been watching many youtube videos about 8k mini but I couldn't find obvious difference compared to 4k.
The mono x 6k seems to be the balance choice because it has wider print area and remains 35 um resolution.
how long were the models cured? try at least for 30 min
That is a GREAT way to end up with super-brittle models
The prints looks fabulous!
Regarding durability, wich one of your favorites seems more resistant: Epax Hard Gray or Siraya Tech Navy Gray?
In my break test the Epax Hard Grey did the best of the 3, but it's still not a very flexible or resilient resin
Holy freaking crap! That legit looks like injection molded stuff!
i am still waiting for mine
what about more playable resin test for just durablity
Got any of them Phrozen discount codes..??
Seems like the fragility might be a little "worse" than some other 3d printer resins, but at least as good (if not better) as most resin cast miniatures you can get from various studios. Thanks for the review!
I have a quick question and I hope you can answer it. This was the best method I thought of to reach out. What settings for anti aliasing should I use in lychee? There is standard with different levels and Grayslake and there is also a blur and stroke blur.
I use AA and blur but at the lowest settings :)
@@3dprintingpro212 so for lychee setting you do the blur setting at what percentage?
I may have missed it, but for standard 32mm scale.minis what length of time of post curing do you run?
On these I don't even cure it post. This resin at the exposure I'm using seems fully cured, no tackiness or softness at all :)
@@3dprintingpro212 ok awesome. Recently got my mighty 8k and started printing with this resin and post curing is such a hit and miss topic
this resin is sooooo brittal. can anyone recommend one that's got good detail and not as fragile for gaming models please
Looks exceptional detail wise but a bit fragile
My dude, you are wrong, you should definitely try it! 8k resin on the 4k does improve slightly. Just like the 4k sliiiightly improves over the regular one from the OG sonic mini. (detail wise we are talking!)
What do you thank is the best resin printer?
Right now Sonic Mini 8k for sure :)
Ditto
hey how about you leave my wallet alone lol
