- Viewing early morning sunlight is essential for regulating your body's circadian rhythm, which is key to maintaining healthy sleep patterns. Low solar angle sun is the optimal stimulus for brightness-sensing cells in our eyes known as the intrinsically photosensitive melanopsin retinal ganglion cells.
In this video, Andrew covers:
• Why viewing morning sunlight improves sleep
• The optimal time of day to view morning sunlight
• Whether or not you can wear glasses when viewing morning sunlight
• How viewing evening sunlight circa sunset protects against the adverse effects of late-night blue light exposure
• What to do if it's cloudy when you wake up
• Whether or not light bulbs or light pads can mimic morning sunlight
• What to do if you wake up before the sun comes up
• How to spike cortisol in the morning by 50%

the guide is great but would be good to have objective brands that can be recommended along with the guide instead of leaving consumers to their own devices--the same position they were in without the data since it's unclear how to verify what company's are suggesting the qualities to be. consumerlabs is also just a data dump and not userfriendly.
I wake up every morning with the sun I do my yoga right in front of my house totally exposed to the sun’s rays I love it I totally energizes me and get me going on my day, thanks for posting. Very good information

@@highdesertjohnhe's one of these weirdos exposing their butthole to the sun. Probably a vegan, that explains a lot.
Ersatz sun would be a terrific idea particularly for those dim winters. Morning 🌅 really is the best time of day.
For those that have seen the other content on sunscreen : what types of sunscreen does he consider to be “the right ones”? Which ingredients should be avoided in “the wrong ones”?
Good questions
Somebody know ?
It's winter here in OZ at the moment but where I live the days are still GR8 to "keep a tan"😂 (Shortest day of the year today BUT 10c Min and 22c and Sunny today= YAY. 🌞🌞 When I lay on the trampoline to tan l look at the sun for 5mins BUT close my eyes tight. 🌞🌞 When it was VERY cloudy n raining and NO sun, my eyes when I rose out of bed were all gunked up and felt LOW. Sunshine is SO Vital for Vitamin D as you both very well know. I go to bed early and turn my laptop OFF by 8pm at the latest. LOVE watching your vids Rhonda and Andrew. Love n light Pete. 🌄🌞💕💕✔✔
Shrimp in the barbie
Brand name for the sunscreen protection ?
I have a question- what happens if the sun rise is over mountains- the angle is not as low…
My problem is as soon as I wake up, I have to take medication + 20oz of water then immediately have to release a bowel movement. This keeps me from getting morning sunlight for around 45 minutes after waking up.
Lol you take a 40 min dump?
How many minutes you spend on releasing 💩. Please describe this process in more detail.
What are examples of the “right” sunscreen? I know organic etc but specific brands and bottles. Thanks!
Ones that are more effective and less/not harmful to humans and marine life. Sometimes referred to as next generation chemical sunscreens, even though some have been available and approved for use in Europe for decades. Good products are available from Europe, but also Korea and Australia and probably many other places I am not aware of.
Commenting for when someone actually provides a brand lol
Why can’t anyone simply give the name of a brand? 🤦🏻♂️
CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen 50 SPF
Some European brands that should be widely available globally for you to try are Vichy (I like the cell protect version because of the lighter consistency), Avene, Bioderma, SVR. Even Nivea, which is available in grocery stores everywhere is good. For Australian brands, I have heard that Lancaster and Piz Buin are good, but I haven't tried them myself.
Huberman did not address people who cannot go outside without being dressed head-to-toe due to mosquito swarms. I would love to be outside every morning looking at the sun but the number of mosquito bites I get is horrible (note: my husband has seen actual swarms head my way and bite me through my clothes). Having to put on deet, etc. is not good everyday. Is the light panel the solution?
Nobody cares. Move
I’m the same way. They will pass a crowd of people to get to me.
@@tito5428 Such a good idea! If only it worked that way. Just came back from 3 weeks in Italy and Greece, and, unfortunately, mosquitoes found me there as well. Thanks for the suggestion!
@happyperson8740
How would we survive without the Titos of the world who know Everything about Everything? So kind of them to take time out of their busy omniscient and omnipotent lives to respond to our comments...
Nobody cares. Move.
Would standing on a shaded balcony in the morning be effective?
Do ones eyes have to be open ?
Yes
How many COVID jabs did you get Rhona?
No one has 24 hour inner clock, its totally impossible.
The animal world shows this all the time
Why do you use sunscreen when dogs cats birds and any other animal in nature doesn’t? I think you’re just trying to sell sunscreen. I never use sunscreen and I only do 20 minutes on my back 20 minutes on my front that’s me done
Wasn't he and his "lab" discredited ?
hit piece
I don’t think his personal history discredited him
This guy likes to talk
It’s a podcast dood 😂😂
