I almost got a Kia Forte, but went with a Honda Civic instead. I couldn't have done a better decision, my car has been flawless for the 60,000 miles I've owned it so far.
They're not taking chances because the house could catch on fire. Fast responce for saving the home. Estimate damage to home $10K plus cost of car. I'm happy the home owners didn't loose their home.
I've been on many structure and car fires but I have never seen the need to deploy a ladder truck. Did I miss something on this video that they had to deploy ladder platform?
Perhaps the call came in not only for car fire but with extension to the home, Considering you've been to so many structure fires I'm surprised you wouldn't know something so basic.... stick to watching
@@gsarjos okay look at the video the ladder truck was not deployed till they arrived on scene And was there for some time. Just because it's there doesn't mean you have to use it, yes when the alarm goes off they may have dispatched more than one station and it was dispatched as a structure/car fire. And I seriously doubt you've put on bunker gear in your life, or you wouldn't have made your comment rookie.
@@gsarjos Well, but, it all depends on how it looks inside, that is why you, look inside. But here there are like tons of people just standing there. And they did not even secure the car from rolling back on the slope. Strange. Here is an example of how to do it with less people, more organized: ruclips.net/video/J-LgexzU0Vw/видео.html
I counted 12 firefighters around the car and at least another 5 or 6 onlooking. I take it they don't get much action to have a turn-out like that. Not to mention the trigger happy guy with the jaws of life just anxious to rip something apart. I'm from Montreal. A car fire against the A side wall of a structure will get a ladder truck and a pumper truck dispached with between 5 and 6 firefighters depending on which station responded. Upon arrival and a quick assessment the ladder truck would most likely have ben put back in service and returned to the station, leaving a 4 man crew to extinguish the fire.
Better safe than sorry. Also this a is all volunteer department so they dispatch as many as they can because you never know how many will answer the call. Btw this is really good staffing for a VFD. They should be proud.
I’m surprised one of the neighbors didn’t get some water from their hose onto the house there. Also, it’s apparently not an ev because the fire went out in one minute instead of six hours.
Hopefully they didn't get a lot of smoke damage inside the home. My mother in laws home had a fire. Plug shorted out caught a mattress, but all it did was smoulder. Since it was summer with the air conditioner running bit pumped the smoke thru the whole house. Thr only fire damage was the radient heat on the one wall. It still required complete remediation, all new furniture and electronics, and 6 months of work. She also bhad it rewired completely as she didn't trust the electrical after that
Ttime to add another approach to these car fires as they increase with the EV revolution... Having a hook device to tow the vehicle away from the structure, is not a big deal and almost any authority with a vehicle heavier than the unit on fire could do it ... first responders to car fire should have the training and it is not a big deal.
Ol' Ricky Rescue in his Levi's and helmet/coat standing in the middle of the road. I'm pretty sure the responding engine knows where to go.......just look for the smoke and that's probably where the car fire is at.
Por que no jalaron el carro hacia atrás, antes de que se prendieron más. Que alguien me explique, estos carros tienen ganchos de arrastre atrás y adelante.
Wot they shit there pants or sumink? Fire dudes on these clips normally take 10mins just to get out of the engine then stand around, these fire dudes were quick, that home owner was lucky, well unlucky for the fire
I saw the title and thumbnail, i guessed its Kia or Hyundai, more than 5 years, and there latest cars still catching fire. i will never buy this brand, and never recomend anyone. if they can let it go this long.... the company should just make plastic toys and leave the car making to the professionals. Hyundai still hasn’t addressed their car fire problems yet🔥🔥
Kinda why i HATE Hyundai/Kia, specially their older models.
thats why i donot buy korean made cars they junk and have been junk

Fyi--I grew up in the next town. This is an all volunteer department. My friend's father used to be the chief; he also ran a farm.
I've never seen so many people crowding around a car.🤣🤣

Most of them are jus standing around doing nothing and trying to look cool.
LOL, "training".
What kind of self-centered a****** would film it instead of trying to put it out
Even though this is LI, not the city, it's NY SOP
Why the aerial ladder extended for a one story car fire with some extension
That’s why I don’t park to close to my house
Nice job using the booster tank on the first engine on site.
Chief forgot his bunkers...but didn't forget his sunglasses.
Great job. Now all you need is J.K.Simmons and you've got a terrific commercial.
Nice job guys 👍. That's how you get water on the fire 👍
Now, this is how you get water on the fire. 20 seconds and go. ruclips.net/video/J-LgexzU0Vw/видео.html

As a former chief of mine once said " I would rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it ".

I'll add another idea. EV's should not be allowed to park in the underground parking garages of residential apartment buildings.
Salut respon cepatnya... 👍👍🇮🇩
Nice response getting water on the fire.
Even the dear were amazed.
Deer.
nice knock down ! but wonder why nobody chalked the tires ? not being mean or back sear qb but engine compartment fire and tranny cables
I guess because they didn't have any chalk. Or did you mean chock?
When my classmate's father was alive, the truck said "Grossman's Farm."
That was a great stop. Bravo!
i hope everyone is ok
Great to see Valley Stream #2 my former brother Company. Nice job by all.

Ok what was the point for putting the ladder up to the window of the house that wasn't on fire? Must of needed practice.
Training opportunity probs
Surprised they didn’t smash all the windows on that house. Seems that is the very first thing all the US firefighters do.😂

@Steve Robinson yes 👍.

Respect aux pompiers pour leurs dévouement
We need to go back to having water hoses that would put that fire out
No one intelligent enough to get a garden hose? 😅
Garden hose will not put out a car fire
Its winter.... everyones garden hoses are put away if not frozen and water turned off to outdoor spigots..
You will not put any of that fire out with a garden hose. It's like pissing in the wind.
Well look at the beginning of the video the guy next to the car with the Hi Viz jacket on the right he had a garden hose
@@elvisbest3213 Look again he had a fire extinguisher containing water... No where near enough, a garden hose would likely do a bit better
Great job
No way that car could have just gone up in flames
Great stop.
Hum the neighbors garden hose could've put out that fire
I bet it's and electric vehicle too
Au Cambodge c'est finis votre maison désoler qu'elle chance...

That box truck driver who was just rolling through the stop sign should have gotten a ticket.
