  • When we say "monuments" our minds often conjure images of grand historic edifices and heritage. Do we tend to overlook the other gems - the vernacular structures crafted by and for the common people? Constructed from locally sourced materials and shaped by the hands of local artisans, these humble structures may not be grand but they hold their own exceptional story of their utility and being. Amidst our gaze upwards towards the conventional monuments, it's worth taking a pause to marvel at the unpretentious yet ingenious local architectural wonders that grace our surroundings.
Let’s journey through time to celebrate our rich built heritage practices. In the thirteenth lecture of our series, Sense N Sensibility 13.0, we welcome Jugadopolis, Ronojoy Sen and Shyamal Datta.
