@ThePartisan13 literally lmao and seeing how I got notified of this I can only guess that my reply saying something similar about finding it strange she thought purple baby was hideous 😆💀
It's actually worse than just watching for Kate, because she shares a kind of psychic link with all of her doubles, meaning she *feels* every single one of those deaths. It's why she and Immortal ended up together, as she said in the first half of the season, she and him understand each other because of this shared experience.
Ray’s death is the most brutal way to die I’ve ever seen…and I kinda really wish I never saw it. Also, this show is reminding us how simply being durable as a power is OP. You can have crazy powers while also just being a squishy human.
man the hate toward cecil is crazy, man just keep it real and is willing to sacrifice the little things for the greater goods, he is as sincere as someone who is in the position he is.
Cecil is the most interesting character, hands down. Sometimes people have a hard time understanding anything past surface level. Maple mentioned he's doing evil for humans, and that's exactly correct. Evil acts maybe, but with no ulterior motive, for no selfish reason. He's the dude you want in your corner, the guy you want defending your people. He's responsible for the safety of the entire planet and everything he does or is going to do is done with the sole purpose of safeguarding Earth.
These girls (mainly the girl on the left) are the only people I have seen hate Cecil like this. Yes, he isn’t afraid to be cold hearted, ruthless, and mean in order to get what he wants, but it’s always in order to do the right thing. He’s intentionally written to feel like the all too common trope of the “big government guy, who says he’s doing things for the greater good, but is really only out for himself and is kinda evil”, that we see ALL the time in superhero stories/other movies, but Cecil is a great subversion of exceptions and flip of that trope once you continue learning about him. He truly is always doing things for the greater good, and even has somewhat of a heart, even if he’s pretty cold blooded most of the time. His compassion and care is best shown in quite a few of his scenes with Debbie, a few of his scenes with Donald, and with his concern for Mark’s safety. He can definitely be manipulative to get what he wants, he can lie with a straight face and make sacrifices that seem heartless in the moment, but that’s the cost for being in such a powerful position and for being willing to give up anything for the greater good of humanity. It’s a delicate line to walk but the writers, Kirkman especially, did a phenomenal job of threading that line. He is such a great, morally “grey” character, and so well written. I continue to like him more and more with every passing episode. I think the line that best sums up his character is when he is willing to not call off the giant Cthulhu-looking monster and potentially sacrifice Mark if it means stopping Omni-Man during their fight. Debbie is begging him to call it off since it may kill Mark, and when Cecil refuses, Debbie tells him that’s why she has always hated him, and Cecil responds with a somber, “it’s why I hate me too”. You can tell he’s telling the truth in that moment. He hates himself for having to be that person, but that is the sacrifice he is willing to make if it means keeping his people safe, he is not far off from Mark himself in that regard. He may not be perfect, he may not be especially kind, but it’s undeniable that the voice actor, the writing team, and everyone else did a great job of making him an incredibly interesting and refreshing flip of this character archetype. There is a lot of good in him, and I’m surprised these two seem so incapable of seeing it.
Earth was Nolan’s first time blending in on a mission. Debbie & Mark showed him what it could’ve been like if Nolan had a choice on what he wanted to do (because the Viltrumites murdered everyone who “weak” and if one of them die, they say they are weak). He knew it would end eventually, but he didn’t want to (that’s why he said he wished Mark never got his powers to Debbie in S1). After Mark said “I’ll still have you,” Nolan didn’t have a purpose. He couldn’t be on Earth and the Viltrumites would kill him, so he thought about going into the black hole but decided to save the Thraxans because it’s what he wanted to do, because he finally had a choice. Andressa knew everything and their culture doesn’t assign blame, allowing him to get easily attached. Then Mark & the Viltrumite attack happens, and Mark is in the same position as Nolan was for him (Not wanting the kid to lose the Thraxans before he’s grown just like Nolan was worried about Mark seeing generations of humans dying before he’s grown)
Nolan is worse than Ozai? Or Tucker? You’re trippin. LOL the fade in Arthur Fist! Cecil really fucked up by not leaving one tank type hero back on Earth to support the others.

For those asking why all the Cecil hate? He has to make the tough decisions. Kind of like when he couldn’t call off Hail Mary even though it was also hurting Mark because it was also hurting Omni Man. I’m surprised he ordered Eve to turn around. Or kinda like when he sent Damien Darkblood back to hell all because it was gonna ruin his plan. Sure he’s a demon but he was doing good. Why didn't Eve just erase the missiles? Why didn't she erase entire ship or at least create a metal barrier around all the facehuggers so they can't move? i think people are confused of her level of control. She doesnt have 100% control over her powers rn shes still young and is unsure of herself after her dads constant hate of her power and her recent mistakes reinforcing his points, she basically has a mental block. Its a comic book show about teenage superheros making them that strong creates an imbalance inpower that ruins the plot. @@Diegesis -- Agreed. Because she admitted to having known Mark's true identity in advance + having bitched at him for "disappearing", it rendered her argument, well, frankly illogical, hence, moot. I love you guys
So they nerfed Eve huh?
bro she's been nerfed. ever since atom eve i've been like "why doesnt she just turn omniman into string cheese? or make him forget he's a viltrumite?
@@Diegesis Pretty sure Eve still has the mental limiter that Dr. Brandyworth gave her that disable her from manipulating organic matter/etc. It was just in that moment of rage that she was able to bypass the limiter in the Atom Eve Special
@@Tpm12luv she showed she could manipulate organic matter when she grew a forest no?
@@bigpictureguys8415I thought they meant humans not plants
Edit: I’m thinking about the comics not the show lol. But u do have a point in some way. I don’t think the show has flat out said they put a mental limit in her to make sure she can’t change humans.
Eve can alter reality yes, but the building not to code incident shook her. You've GOT to start taking character mentality into account or this show isn't going to make sense.
Give me da baby 😂🎉classic
Fuck yea

Amber has always been like this. Mark was just a terrible partner and a constant liar.
Horseshit
Amber is completely different in season 2. She was ridiculous in season one. A constant nag.
@@Diegesis -- Agreed. Because she admitted to having known Mark's true identity in advance + having bitched at him for "disappearing", it rendered her argument, well, frankly illogical, hence, moot. And then later on she hauled ass directly into Mark's home, into his arms and kissed him as if she never broke up with him earlier on (effectively told him to get lost). Again, this is illogical, and her sense of entitlement is breathtaking. Perhaps she's entitled to a 'Short School Bus' as well, but I digress.
yeah their reading of the whole amber thing is the one thing I really disagree with in these reactions
@@Diegesis Nah, she is a lot more like how she was in the first half of S1 before Mark started getting busy with hero-ing
Comon people start liking the vid
