I just purchased one of these kits and am waiting on it to arrive. I can not find a link to the build guide anywhere online. Do you have a link for it?
the link is actually on the DRZ vs GLD review posted by a watcher . GL racing posted the instruction manual on facebook and then post release did something that broke the url you can find it at web.triplette.it/gld/GLDrift_Instruction_Sheet_Final_8-11-20_Final_version.pdf
Great timing, i just did another session on twitch which i will be uploading shortly. its nice. if you didn’t do any tuning and just assembled it you would end up with a good car. the amount of filing and tuning it did today was minimal and made it a great car. the front steering is a bit fiddly but now that i have set it up it looks to be rock solid and i suspect it will perform overall this just feels nicer but its been hard to put my finger on, it may be things like bal heads are sized and dont need to be reamed out or that the screws thread into the plastic straight and sure nearly every time and with no effort. the plastic is defiantly a cut above and you have confidence once you have screwed into it that it is staying there need to get it on the track but i suspect the GL is a better buy from the build experience alone
@@BlitzWorks fantastic reply mate much appreciated! im trying to avoid buying each version but just know i will in the end so hoping to get the better one first😂 Will watch the mentioned video once its up!
@@efaracing4000 I am lucky enough to be able to afford both so i want to get teh info out there so people can make the correct decision for their needs i should mention that the DRZv2 is by no means bad it still impresses me if you have any other questions just let me know will either reply in comments or address it in upcoming videos
@@chooby3000 thanks for reminding me, got distracted with some other rc projects will see what i can put together this weekend, i just need to do some front end testing
I’m surprised you think my car handles better, I feel like my DRZ2 is still a hot mess. My suspension needs more tuning & then it should be much better
Ha Ha your car drifts at least mine is currently not. though i appreciate that note on the front suspension droop explains why it drifts better with the body on as i set the droop for when the body is sitting on the frame but likely need to reduce it more Not a fan it feels like less of a gyro and more of a 'delay input by 1/2s', i did pick up some more oniski gyros and will be swapping that out to do a comparison. I can see why people would like the hackslider i just suspect its not how i want to drift or my style but wow are they small. The best way to describe it is with the oniski you set the drift angle with the steering wheel and it maintains that where as th hack slide seems to pick up that you want to turn and pauses just long enough for you to transition your wheel and line things up still learning so hard to say
Blitz Works hmmmm very interesting, it sounds like the Hackslider would be a perfect fit for my style. I personally don’t like to “feel” the gyro working, what I mean is I don’t like the gyro to maintain steering angle, I would rather have it just there as a “safety” to keep me from going beyond the limit & spinning out
