- It’s never been easier to get into wheel-to-wheel racing these days, especially with classes like Gridlife’s GLTC. And no, you don’t need a GT3 Cup Car to get in there: start with a cheap caged Civic shell, and evolve it as you go: much like Eric’s K24 swapped EG track bomber.

Classes like GLTC and organizations like GRIDLIFE , ARE the future of Motorsports. Inclusive, affordable, relatable and pure fun to watch and participate in. Great highlight on Eric's car, this thing gets faster and faster each event as he develops it more and more.
Really restrictive race series don’t always for good racing anyway, they just favour people who can afford to make extra tenths of a second within the rules.
Case in point, Bad Obsession Motorsports roll cage mods in the c1/aygo/107 series
Sure anyone could’ve interpreted the rules that way, but they have a cnc plasma cutter, and a full on little machine shop at their disposal, it’s easier for them to try things.
Lo
this comment is 100% spot on.Inclusive, affordable, relatable and pure fun to watch is a recipe for success.
Maybe manufacturers will go back to the mantra "race on Sunday, sell on Monday"

Shout out to this guy for trying to get the younger generation involved 👏
I’d love to start a program to get less fortunate people into cars
Holy crap! 46 minutes of video and not a boring second. Informative as hell and he knows all the stuff. Well done!😎👍
Very cool civic, ticks all the boxes.
I think it almost smashes all the boxes lol
4:28 Hearing that name again. ASM. Gears & gasoline build. Dude is pretty impressive!
A honda with a rear bumber and no holes in it is rare
Lol
🤣
Rear bumper on these are like parachutes lol
Larry and Eric really nail it with this video. GLTC is making racing fun again by making the cars people love and their passion for building accessible to a new racing formula.
One of the best guests we've had yet!
Hands down I think most of us can agree Honda has made the best I4's in history and The K20/24 is the pinnacle. It is an amazing engine and whether you stay N/A, S/C, or Turbo you will not be disappointed. I never get tired of hearing or reading Honda Engines especially the K Series. The owner of this car proves what we all believe on every point. It's nice to hear this guy talk b/c through his experience he knows his car and how it handles in various situations which is shows he's not just an engine guy he knows how to race Good interview.
We need more of this kind of racing! Thank you for featuring Hondas Larry!
42:50 "I'm looking forward to winter break..." **leaf falls from sky**
one of my favorite civic racers ever!
props to both kutil for being a great driver and larry for covering this car!
kswap and EG on the same sentence is always a WIN
The EG has come a long way man! Congrats on the feature Kutil! Making all the Columbus homies proud!
Love the Honda content lately Larry! Whole channel is great but it’s nice to see vids highlighting Honda’s in a positive light without a bias
This is my favorite car in GLTC!
I have been waiting for this video for weeks now! I knew you have interviewed Eric and I couldn’t wait to see his new setup. Car looks great man!
Extremely impressive build, depth of knowledge, and passion. Thanks!
What's an awesome car!
And great to hear another shoutout to honed developments! Friends doing great things in the racing industry!
The roll cage is crazy nice . Best I've seen lately
Nice hatchback civic
Thanks Larry. Always what we want to see,. Loving that Civic
Really love all the GRIDLIFE stuff man, amazing cars great vids.
Nice to see a Czech guy succeed in USA with such nice car also :)... Eriku, ode mě dva palce, dobrá práce :)
I'm a simple man. I see Kutil's car, and I click the video.
I've been waiting weeks for this video. Stopped working on my car to watch this!
Didnt know the guy till now, but I won't forget him. Clicked because a civic with a big wing and k-swap in the thumb nail of a respectable youtube channel lol
He is a cool a nice dude as well learned some things as well
@@claudedottin1312 Eric is really cool. He's been nice enough to share some insights about his build on Instagram, which is so rad of him.
Davin Sturdivant exactly and actually responds lol
This is the dopest civic every
Love all the talks and information on this vid. Love it!
It’s kinda like the “improved production “ class in Aussie land
So much more enjoyable to watch than the V8s
That Jordan Cox civic at Bathurst was so fun to watch
My exact thoughts. Its super exciting to watch!
This is much cooler than improved production.
@@Where_we_go how?
Thanks for the Honda Civic content and your genuine enthusiasm Larry.🔰🏎️🔥
That civic looks sick because its functional! I'm considering going back to the Honda platform I still miss driving one.
Absolutely gorgeous build. Take a bow sir!
Wow I've been following eric for years, cool to see his car on the big scree
I requested a video on this car and you delivered! Thanks 😆. Eg
I tripped over myself trying to hit that play button so quickly. I see a Kutil Civic, I click. I never actually watch Hoonigan videos (no offense, they're great and Chen is extremely talented) but this one is different.
Eric drives the hell outta his car and does FANTASTIC in-car footage of it. He's one helluva driver. 👏👏👏
I s'pose I should click on that Z32 video that keeps tempting me haha
You guys are so lucky..
I wish I had the opportunity to do some spirited driving..
Been 10 years now unless Gran Turismo counts..
I can run a mean lap time then..lol..
Definitely gonna keep up with this new class...sounds so fun...
Thanks
Ronnie
Great video as always Larry! Probably raced my 94 Accord Wagon with that car in Honda Challenge SoCal.
This has always been my favorite car. Absolutely love it.
That's real passion , awesome video .
His videos are great and I have no doubt about Larry being very good at what he does but damn he loves the sound of his own voice!
Civics are sick!..a drag car a race car a show car..options are endless. I have an FK7 I love it..i Had EG back in the day.
It's a good looking Civic. Inspirational
respect for larry , doing 10 cars in rain🙏🏼👏
Great interview, I love Erik. This shit is great!
10/10 would love to watch you drive that EG all out.
44:38 you better drive that f****** car! I want to see what you got kid. LOL keep up the quality content
That hood vent was inspired by R.J Coffman whos a Global Time Attack driver of the Grey Goose Civic Hatchback from Alabama.
Hardcore Honda Kats are amazing!! 👊
Holy shit 46 minutes Larry blessing us today
Got me stoked for my civic build
The wheel-to-wheel homologation that the owner of the civic is explaining seems like it makes for suucccchhhhh good racing from a driver's competitive point of view and for a spectators point of view
thats so cool ive never seen a honda civic swapped with a k24
Such a nice build!
Great racing beater looks fun.
Eric!!!!
this has to be the perfect race series.
is there anything like this in the UK?
That things is so dope
Love hearing about these new grassroots motorsports events/classes to support amateur racers trying to get into this expensive sport. I get warm and fuzzy hearing him talk about it, but then bummed out cause i know damn well they ain’t ever coming to South FL :(
I became a fan of GLTC racing because of this video!
Nice build and the car is fast. I also have a EG Civic with same k24a jdm motor but my Civic is build for endurance racing. 15 minutes is way too short of seat time for me. I race with American Endurance Racing, Champcar and sometimes lemons. AER gets 40 to 50 cars and Champcar and lemons gets 100+ cars. I was thinking of getting involved with your serious but I enjoy longer races and 2 hours stints. Good luck and hope to see you at an event with endurance event.
Nice sound choice ❤
That's a sick car 🤘🤘
Watching this dudes in car his downshifts 👌👌👌🔥
Hondas are Excellent machines!!
Next time! That's gonna be sweet Auto 🚘 Focus 👓 😎 🕶 🍻
Wow awesome car!!!
KUTIL!!!!!! The Champ 💪🏻 #GLTC
in czech his name means handyman, so true
EG Hatches vs the world
-“ bro why do you have so many weather apps?”
- “ race car”
Motivating me to beef up the EG. Sexy cars.
I see that CZ flag homie.
Thats the most gangsta shit ive heard. Dude casually took the motor out of his original type R to run in his race car temporarily, got damn!
0:45 Czech Republic flag
wdym
Oof! Man got us with the "Loo-eezz-ville"
Beautiful machine ❤️
I notice a Filipino sticker on the EG cool! 🙌
28 minutes in.... that's why I love hondas cuz anyone can make a fast car fast its cooler to build a car that's not supposed to be slow to go fast.
very a good reviews.
I'd love to see a time attack miata on here to get some inspiration for mine lol
yeh miata b great, but probably too light...lol I'm glad I think e36 r in ther...😀🤔
Eng. swap...unless if ur in Calif...😪😪 swap motor is illegal on tha streetz of Cali...
Narita Dogfight had a crazy one from Japan in a feature. Might be ridicolous overkill for you, but hey

My future project, build EG sedan K24 swapped with Track build looks-alike, and race it at highway like Wangan or C1 (police in my country not aggresive like in USA)
My h22a made 230whp and 170lbs-tq with minor bolt ons
I could listen to how this car was built stage to stage all day
This remind anyone of the vortex ITR from NfSU?
17:14 "Hmmm"... yup same response here xD Nom.
If I where to buy that PCI spoiler, do I need to strengthen the rear hatch because of the pressure it pushes on the part (ex: so it dent dent).
Secondly, what front bumper splitter is being used? The part still white, not the splitter at the near bottom.
60 car multilayer 💪
🇨🇿 nice :)
Nice fwd
Nice 👍 EG. Engine details PLEASE 👍👍
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the car crashed at the kink in Road America a couple of weeks ago. I just hope he can fix it because I adore this car and EG hatches in general.
I want one!
our local junkyard advertises long block 4 cyl for around $200,granted this is bare block external but has full internals, they also have half days once every so often so you could essentially pull a k24 from somthing like tsx or accord and have a engine for $100
being this cheap you do risk picking up a lemon but they do come with warranty and do allow leak down tests or compression test if you have the means.we look for cars that were rear ended or tee boned as this usually indicates the motor is probably good and its was junked from the accident, this being said never pull a motor from a clean undamaged car as this is usually a red flag for blown engine/trans.
anyways nothing beats having a car you know you can beat/boost the heck out of and have zero concern for expensive blown engine,a few hundred bucks and a weekend and your back on the road,i own a sr20det s13 and it makes around 340 hp and yet i get nervious when i push it hard only because i know if i blow the motor i could spend many thousands to fix it.i wish i had the option of junkyard motor
What type of manifold insulator is that? and where can I buy it?
at 21:12, are those the Muteki SR48 lugs?
No restrictions on engines eh? Getting some ideas here 😈
Hi my name is Michael, and I addicted to Honda’s! Mainly civics and integras, and I’m a Hondahollic. Hi guys. 😩☺️🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️👌🏾💪🏾🔥🏎💨💨💨
K24 in 4K FTW
So, how do you break his racing series? in the rules, power to weight ratio? or peak power to static weight ratio. what ever chases you are running get a smaller motor with a small turbo. tune the car for maximal area under the curve. for example his k24. tune it to make 190 whp at like 2000rpm and stay there. with something like 250tq. do somthing like drop timing after what ever rpm it wants to make more at. and since the weight is static and the rules are not specific as far as aero go.... .......Its all under the body.......tread the line at where ever a lip stops and a spliter starts. full flat bottom with skirts that go to the ground on the sides and a rear defuser. basically look at all the things more major series banned.... and that this series has yet to make a rule on ... and do that. lots of dif stuff... shit pull off all the weight off the top of the car... and instead of ballast, re-enforce the chases under the car stay within your weight and you maximize chases stiffness and vastly lower the center of gravity. one single piece of aluminum on the bottom and paint everything black so its hard to let what you go going on.... and go fwd unless the car is mid engine. and there looks like there are a few ways to game the tires as well... would need to really see the rules to find the devil in the details. but certainly would lye with a slick of some sort. probably some kind of cheater slick that might be a "street tire" but is actually a super sticky autocross tire... one that might barely last... but should hold out for 15min. with that you would probably find something like 50% advantage over the competition and either be ban after the first race... or get your car inspected for the new rules for it to be disqualified for the next season. Can't have any fun. but yah rules look super exploitable..... power to weight is a really weak way to balance the cars... lots of devils in lots of different details... sizes of cars is bigger deal then one might think... not to mention shape..... track with, caster. suspension type, chases modification. lots of things effect drag and aerodynamics then just a front splitter and a rear wing.....like running no splitter but canards? how many can you run? how big can they be? ducking air through the body? inducing low pressure under the body? lots of ways to break the game... only thing holding back anyone is lack of knowledge... or what ? sportsmanship ? lmao
Anyone knows where I can buy that hood vent??
