@@Bogren.Digital No, I'm a guitar player/writer. Usually I trigger on a midi keyboard and build a groove with samples like these, but I'm finding out of the box the grooves are really good. I probably spent two hours last night just jamming along and riffing, it felt pretty close to having a real drummer there. Once I settle on something with the right feel then I edit the midi events. Tone wise, I like that there's a bit more..."fullness" to the kick and snare than I've heard in some other companies libraries, where they end up sounding "woody" or "plastic". Oh and the fills in the grooves? Man those are actually epic intros!
Just bought reaper and this. Figuring them both out is taking time but I’m making progress and absolutely can’t wait to finally get these blackened death beats out of my head and onto a template. Being in bands is exhausting. This way all my split personalities have to do what I say. Not actual other people.
This does look and sound really good, however I wish it fitted a more specific need, like ampknob (easy/instant tone and light CPU usage). As good as this might be, I don't feel like it'll bring much more to what's already existing with Toontrack and GGD (and I'm not even talking about other alternatives).
Yeah, if I didn't already own GGD, I definitely would've given this some consideration. As it is, though, dunno that it's enough of a difference to justify switching.
The way you have to look at it isn’t as a plugin company making another drum library trying to get you to switch but more getting the chance to work with different top producers in this case Jens :D ( just my thought )

If you wrote drums in Superior Drummer can the midi be recognized using this software? They use theur iwb drum maps. I am new to programubg drums and kontact
Krimh Drums come with a MIDI map for Superior, so you can play your midi right away. The FAQ section of our page has a video on how to install Kontakt and get going. Cheers!
Hi Bogren Digital, would you recommend using ANTI-MACHINEGUN on professionally made MIDI grooves like the grooves that come with this library or those made by companies like Toontrack etc? The ANTI-MACHINEGUN feature seems very interesting but I'm just wondering whether using it on already "humanized" drum MIDI is going to create a somewhat sloppy feel. It would be great if Jens can tell us more about this feature in his deep dive video because I don't think it has been explained well enough in any of the reviews I have seen so far.
We recommend leaving it always on. It does not change any timing but it will automatically change articulations and adjust velocities. Krimh's performance on the included grooves is fantastic , but it's still good to keep the anti-machine gun toggle on. We will have a deep dive video coming soon. Perhaps even too deep of a dive. :D
The sound is somehow not voluminous, there is no depth, sound like closed. I don’t like the snare at all, for me like any Ludwig of any library. Strongly loses to sound of Amon Amarth, Opeth etc.

How do I minimise the amount of voices used for the kicks? It uses way too many overlapped samples which causes my CPU to start crapping itself
