  • A tutorial on how to install the Evotech radiator guard/oil cooler guard on the 2023 Aprilia RSV4. During my install process there were various fitment issues as well as omissions in the Evotech instructions which made the install more difficult.
This is not my first time purchasing Evotech products. In the past I have been very satisfied with Evotech and that’s why they gained a return customer. However, in this case I was a little disappointed with the Evotech fitment.
The radiator guard with hardware is 9.9-10.0 ounces and the oil cooler guard with hardware js 5.0 ounces.
Hope this guide is helpful to all. Thank you!

Damn Bro that’s a lot… I thought it would be a less involved process… Had I a nice garage with all the tools I’d probably do it but I ain’t got that. I sense frustration setting in while attempting this. Think I’ll just pay someone.

It’s a pain on these. Nothing wrong with paying a professional.

I had a similar issue with the general fit and the holes not lining up. It seems to be because the guard is not curved enough. If you bend it in a little more, the guard fits more flush with the radiator and the pins at the top where you had to drill out now fit perfect without drilling.

Of course I only have a sample size of one, so I can’t speak to your specific experience. If anything the curve on mine is too severe and that explains the poor fitment down at the bottom. At the top, the center most portion is already right up against the radiator. It also doesn’t explain why the pin on the one side fit perfectly but on the other was way off despite being centered. Glad you were able to solve your fitment issue with yours however.

Have you noticed any increase in running temp after the install?

I have not noticed a difference. However, it doesn’t take a scientist to figure out it certainly obstructs flow to the radiator. Aprilia usually doesn’t have heat issues while moving, it’s when they stop they really start getting hot. Cheers man.

My V2 was pretty easy so hopefully the V4 is the same. The Aprilia, had to take the whole front end apart lol.
      What guards did you get?
