Papa yams will you ever talk about the Harley FXDR or is it cursed to be that step child that you left in the basement
do they have vibration dampner like quadlock? otherwise they wouldn't be considered the "best" since they will end up breaking bunch of iphone cameras
Thanks!
I can’t wait to add led under glow to my bike! 😂
As someone who runs LEDs on his bike and has the Nightshift LED helmet lights I get lots of thumbs up and most of the bikes in my town no matter the type of bike has them on. I have had the lights for years with no problem and they have been in all kinds of conditions.
LED lights on a bike look sick idk what Yammie on when he said that
Agree! I have mine on switches so I can turn them off if I ever ride with Yammie😂
@@andremallory4616 😂
When you get old enough to start riding for you and not for attention you will understand. I ride a 20 year old Yamaha fz1 and I only ride backroads. Cruising around town is boring af unless if course you're riding just for the thumbs ups and approval of others.
@@danlford I do ride for myself I just happen to like having lights on for visibility at night. And as for where I ride, I ride everywhere cause I like to have fun with my bike back roads, small streets or ripping it on the highway it's all good to me. Plus I use my bike for commuting.
My city is so ridiculously dark (seriously, literally 1 street light per 1000 feet) so I put lights on my bike so I could be seen coming home at night. Huge difference, and they turn red when I apply the brake. Ive had people stop next to me and say that mod saved my life and I know it has. I highly recommend it if you ride at night in a very dark area.
What lighting kit is that? I love that they turn red when you brake
what lighting kit?
I use the XKGlow Kit has Integrated brake and turn signal lights when installed correctly with 2 zones.
Underglow seems like the exact thing some RUclips wiseass would bash just to make himself feel good. I knew as soon as I searched it that a video like this would some up. Of course it can be overdone and tacky. But to just say its all bad is dumb.
The LEDs make me happy so idgaf 😂 I think they are ridiculous. Lasted 3 years so far, no real issues, no battery drain, cheap AF and a really easy install.
Yeah you lost me right at the beginning 😭😭😭 leds are the shit and have always been.
Agreed
Led underglow makes a clapped bike "tastefully clapped"
True 😂😂😂
Well it helps during night rides for other cars to see you but yeah during the day it doesn’t look good
@@schoolisntfun exactly
I want to integrate the LED brake lights and turn signal is that acceptable?
Underglow 🎉
You forgot one…slapping a turbo on an already ridiculously fast motorcycle that will mostly (if not always) be ridden on the street 😉
Or a Grom
@@nixonkutz3018 na bc from don't go fast but idk I've never owned a Grom I am still a 125 dude tho
more power😀
@@nixonkutz3018 turbo grom when
@kiernancruff5666 have you grown up into a real motorcycle yet?
Underglow is a quiet alternative to loud pipes save save lives... just at night lol
“Dollar General manager-assisted salary”
I think one of Yam’s biggest weaknesses is how gleefully he distances himself from his viewers in an elitist fashion.
I think he is just poking fun at the fact that they will buy a $300 stretch kit and a $400 slip on exhaust, but then will buy $10 mirrors that won't work or $10 levers that have too much slop and are weak. So the logical explanation must be that they have no money left after buying the good stuff to pay for the other things. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense to buy the cheap stuff.
@@trsskater sometimes the cheap parts look better 🤷🏾
I said the same thing, He thinks he's Royalty😂 FOH

And has been for a long time, even since the Dallas days. Dude screams rich kid real hard IMHO@@blessed4164
So to sum it up, only buy a bike Yammie approves of, and leave it bone factory stock while looking like everyone else, UNLESS…it’s something like a phone mount made by a company that pays him to advertise. We get it on putting any aftermarket parts on bikes (unless you sell them). Lather, rinse, repeat…
You said it exactly!
Also he has 1.3million subscribers and cant afford a half decent editor?! All the stock footage gives off really low-effort vibes
👏👏
I do use under glow. I have it set to orange, cause that's the only color that's legal that fits my bikes color scheme. I do like to think it helps with vis at night. Sides I don't care what Yam says I think it looks cool. My PC, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and whole house has RBG lights. I put that shit on everything. So why wouldn't my bike? My only advice is go pods not strips. Hard plastic doesn't degrade as quick as soft rubber. I feel like the connectors don't short as easy too.
I use red LED's,I've wired them to the brakes,so they are only visible when braking, and they are placed in hidden spots (inside petrol tank fairing/rear frame of a er6n) ,so it's quite a understated look .I like it and doesn't look tacky and serves a purpose!!I should also add I can switch them on and off easily enough from underneath the seat.
I did almost the exact same thing on my 08 er6n haha
Underglow in my opinion is just more visibility at night and u cant change my mind lol
In this video we learn of Yammie Noob's insecurities to bike customisation.
I don’t own a motorcycle, viewed this video and wish I never did… I love people expressions through mods and for those people continuing doing what makes you different or stand out!
The funnest thing about this video is that you talk about the dumbest mods to put on a bike then you have an ad for a phone holder and talk it up like it's the coolest thing you can possibly put on a bike!
The only thing I disagree with is the paint job at the very end I do agree there are a lot of bad paint jobs but there’s gotta be some pretty freaking cool ones as well
With that being said parts of my bike or getting painted right now lol
Yup. That's a personal thing, no one else's business.
The only issue is when I see a custom paint job the first thing that comes to mind is “When did he drop the bike and/or wreck it, and decide to fix it by doing custom paintwork?”
i agree with video. i will decide which nightmares i will have!
I feel attacked. I have a Harley sir.... a Harley... if I don't put skulls on it, what am I even doin?
“The ornamental cowhide hung limp off the periphery of his ape hangers in a way that felt familiar to his waning sense of masculinity”
Pure poetry and comedy gold.
"would you punch a child?"
Oh boy yammie you're giving us too much credit
People who straight pipe their bikes just to make them louder are usually the ones that live in a suburb that want to start their bike up in the early morning hours for 15 minutes waking up their neighbors before redlining it through the school zone.
Custom paint jobs with lots of skulls, and ghost flames. On a Gixxer with a stretched swingarm and under lighting. And bar end mirrors.
And that fish spine thing on every goddamn tank!
the only 2 I disagree on is under glow and having the full custom paint job. within the bike and car scene under glow has made a large comeback with reputable brands making some really nice kits with nice features and customizability. and the paint work. I run a itasha wrap on my bike and yeah within the car and bike community I'm know as that guy with the anime wrap on his motorcycle, but most old heads and younger guys that say its not there style can appreciate the effort that went into designing, applying, and maintaining the design.
I agree! Yammie has zero style that’s why. I plasti dip everything it’s an easy / cheap way to get a new ride feel. I’m known as the guy with the chameleon bike & truck either way I enjoy it
I love LED lights and custom paint jobs even if i don’t like the character or theme I can appreciate the work that went into it. Also wraps have come a long way you can get a wrap with any custom design so it won’t hurt the resale value of your bike plus you can switch up your designs it’s a win-win 😁
I run LED glow on my bike. they are also tied in so when I hit my turn signals all the lights on that side of the bike flash with it and when I brake they all turn red. so it helps visibility alot especially when I am riding in to work early in the morning in the dark and people are driving like idiots. I don't turn them on during the day or anything though because that'd be weird.
Omgg how?!! I would love to do this to mine
@sojournerstewart9678 it's part of the kit. Xk glow, had it installed by the dealer when I bought the bike.
Yammie missed a perfect tongue-in-cheek opportunity to also add turbo Hayabusas. Because you know if he had made this video before owning his, it would’ve been on the list🤣 Don’t get me wrong, I love turbo anything!
lol leave it to Yammie to gatekeep on shit he barely knows anything about
whats a motorcycle
I commute at night and have led under glow. I can tell you when I forget to turn them on I have way more people not seeing me. It doesn't look amazing, but it does work for visibility.
Absolutely agree 💯% I admit I purchased mine purely for wank-factor but they are great for night visibility, I always have them on at night more so for the safety factor now
Yammie has officially resorted to outrage vids to fix his irrelevance
YOU DON'T NEED A PARACHUTE TO SKYDIVE.
YOU NEED A PARACHUTE TO SKYDIVE TWICE !!!
I feel like one sort of LED under glow that’s acceptable may be a white led lighting your outer area for better rode presence and drivers rider awareness. Id have an led cast at all 4 of my corners
Exactly what I've done, and it turns red when I brake. Enormous difference, saved my life at night for sure
pretty sure white is illegal, at least pointing backwards because it's a universal signal for being in reverse
🤣🤣🤣 OMG that fleshlight!
Should probably have mentioned when you go to sell your stretch jixxer with LEDs, airbrushed skulls, and other horrible mods, don't list it as "Over $xx,xxx invested". Your investment has a really negative return. Probably not best to advertise that.
Led under glow isn’t used for cool factor it’s for safety
Don’t forget the massive front wheels that look like Ferris wheels on said choppers
The "monster bagger" look, especially.
I love how most of the footages are cruisers
Just bought my first bike, a beautiful ninja 650, thank you yammie, you have prepared me for this day.
If you put an underglow, make a switch for it. It's good though, depends on the taste.
As someone who is starting an ironhead chopper build, I was about to be sauced then you said the bit about having other sensible bikes, which I believe my GSA and FXR fit into, so now I just feel like you've put me in a box
**jMy '79 shovelhead chopper entered the chat lol
I chopped my CB750, added a monoshock, changed the geometry (ended up making it a little too tall for myself because it looks more like a sport bike vanity of function), relocated all the electronics and rewired everything, changed to a single seat and got some bar end mirrors because I like how they don't look like stupid insect antennas... I like it and a lot of other people seem to also like it 😅🤷♂️ I did change the handlebars to clip-ons at some point but they were so painful to ride with I had to change them out.
cool story bro
LED underglow is illegal on the road in PA for a 4 wheeled vehicle except for show in a parking lot etc. It is however legal on motorcycles due to “increased visibility” don’t have it myself but it’s nice to see they atleast thought it through.
Are there color restrictions? WV just changed the law to allow them on MC. Though red blue and orange/amber are still not permitted. (Emergency vehicle colors)
Bought my bike off a guy in ohio, he picked blue for w/e reason. I had to add a switch so they werent constant.
I dont believe so just no strobing or flashing red/blue to my knowledge
as an Airbrush artist I cannot agree with your last mod to avoid, I need to make a living
I loved your bit on choppers. Haveing something realistic to ride on the side is so smart. Then take you chopper to show of when occasion arises. I have a friend who spent his whole budget on a chopper and now all he does I pay for the bike, month after month while he hates it cause he can't ride for more then 30 minutes
Your add about phone holders... I think phone holders for your handlebars are a terrible mod.
Mirrors that cost $500.
Best motorcycle channel on RUclips. Keep it going
Skull flesh light got me. 😂 great video yams.
You failed to mention the stupidest modification. You completely forgot the big wheel stretched and slammed bagger.
Very huge fan of your channel 🤙 Very informative and interesting also hilarious especially when you make fun of gixer bros mercilessly lol 😂
Some of those bar ends you showed we’re actually OEM… just sayin’
My wife started riding this year. I am glad her motorcycle came with LED's. She is highly visible but cars still manage to pull out in front of her. She likes them. As long as we are not running blue or red we don't seem to have any issues.
Skulls aren’t cool unless they’re real, i put a baboon skull on my bike and it’s the best thing ever
My first bike was an 84 Honda CB400. When I was across the state, the end of one exhaust pipe fell off and the interior baffle was coming out. So in true 18 year old squid fashion, I pulled it out and then got a hacksaw and did the same to the other pipe. That bike made a sound I can't describe....it set of any car alarm I get with 50 feet of. I let a buddy ride it and I could hear him coming back 6 minutes before he got there.
I could only maintain that level of ridiculous for so long, I got a whole new exhaust as soon as I could afford it.
If your going to complain about stretched bikes. There’s no reason to have a turbo busa when you don’t even use that for how it’s intended 😂 most people (that I know) stretch there bikes and actually race them (highway roll racing) different type of fun. And a lot of them bet thousands of $$$. And a stretch and lowering sure does help a lot even for a stock liter bike.
Or paying $500 for mirrors
Bingo!
But they said they’re bespoke marcozi mirrors! They said they were the only ones to show backwards on my Ducati! Mama Mia!
I cant decide if I want leather tassles or cheerleader pompom streamer things on my Tuono
Lmao NOT stretching the Busa is freaking nuts🤣🤣who does that!?
You're making me feel bad, Yam. Tomorrow I was going to order some tassles for my desert sled. Ive been saving up for weeks.
Love the fact I got at least two of these don't do, on my bike......
Your right and wrong all at the same time my dude.... 😂
Excessive Luggage, that or just the scooter box on its own!
Skull flesh light almost sent coffee through my nose
snuck that right in there on me.
Well Done
Underglow is awesome, they have always been cool and will continue to always be cool. My generation couldnt live without led strips in our dorm rooms so you think we are gonna pass up the chance to have sweet leds on our bikes?? Yeah right xD
I think painting Punnisher skull logos in your bike deserved a specific mention. How many thousands of bikers have done that thinking they're the first?
LED underglow is dope AF.
Fast and furious is the old we in the cyberpunk era them underglows ain't going no where
No one is trying to sell their custom painted The Very Hungry Caterpillar Gen 2 Turbo Busa. Resell value be damned, that bike is from the heart.
As a guy who is waiting for some bar end mirrors to arrive, I want to mention that they are made for my bike and will be sturdy and awesome!
The family violence scene was hilarious
9:47 I mean I didn’t want a painted bike before but if I answer yes to both? 😂😂
Just because a bike pops and bangs on decel doesn’t mean it has a fuel problem. Have you ever heard of a pear valve? It pumps fresh air into the cat to ignite unburnt fuel. It’s part of emission process. It still pops and bangs with stock exhaust it’s just not as noticeable until you put a slip on muffler
Having a custom vest made that says "if u can read this, my yammie fell off"
4 speaker stereo and 4 speaker stereo with straight pipes.
Sorry, but not sorry, Yammie. LED underglow lights make sense from a safety standpoint as every little bit of extra light helps alert clueless cagers to your presence.
The stupid mods for a first-time biker to avoid, is all the mods your well-meaning friends suggest to you before the bike even leaves the dealership. Too many new riders spend hundreds of dollars in mods before they've even ridden the bike. Then when they decide that biking isn't for them, or that they bought a cruiser when they really want an adventure bike all those mods just deepen the financial hole they just dug for themselves. So ride the bike for a while and get to know it. Then when you're sure that motorcycling is for you, and you're sure that you've bought the right bike for you, then you can start choosing your own mods, based on your own experience, based on what you want, and based on what you think will enhance you motorcycling experience.
All I got from this video is there are no bad bike mods and Yammie just needed to make a 10+ minute video for content revenue.
Fog lights on a bike is a huge Win tho 😊
I always say if extended swingarms are such a great idea it would be an option from the factory. They get very, very mad when they here that. I do know a couple of people with bikes that are so fast that they actually modified their swingarms to help keep it down. Both of these guys are extremely knowledgeable about motorcycles and they put time and money into their builds. Both bikes don't have the common extended swingarms... just customized fabricated swingarms that look almost stock. I have seen 600s and 1000s that have a pipe and a Power Commander with extended swingarms. That is ridiculous.
This is a mixed bag, paint is personal preference and choppers are not all bad, if consideration is put into how it is built you can have a comfortable and reasonably well handling bike assuming you don't go too extreme. It is a nice style when done well. I agree with the over skulling being bad but this can also be good when done well.
You never wanna have to chopper in the rain
Those bikes you showed with LEDS looked pretty good
Yeaaa I just do stretch swing mostly for looks and sliding fun too
Spiked bar ends are so dumb after being stabbed with a handle bar with a bar end mirror and it still went through
i found a streched swingarm grom for sale once and in the description it stood that it was very rare
the LED underglow makes you more noticeable at night which is safer
Bout to start a channel and make my first video called, "I INSTALLED YAMMIE NOOB'S TOP 7 STUPIDEST MOTORCYCLE MODS"
The overlength swingarm thing really cancels any want I have to buy the bike.
It tells me the clutch on the bike has likely been beat to shxx. Plus, I would have to get another stock style swing arm and probably replace the chain and the sprockets to fix the Frankensteining of the bike. Bikes have enough challenges on the street being comfortable. Oversize swing arms just make it so you have to fight the bike to make it turn everywhere you go. Stock geometries come from a heck of alot of research. I'll stay with that.
I get the aversion of extended swing arms, but tbh, every person I know with a stretched bike only uses it for highway pulls and rides it maybe twice a week. They all also have non stretched bikes they ride more often if not daily.
underglow looks cool
I'm not gonna let you kill my vibe 😂😂😂 I finally got a bike and I WILL be adding led lights 😂😂😂..
That joker paint was kinda cool
Stretched swingarm and big wheel front wheels are extensions of the chopper idea. Crazy paint too. Custom culture is motorcycle culture.
9:00 na mate thats what vinyl wrap is for
Under estimate the power of a small 2 stroke. That is epic. Happens all the time.
I feel like this is his personal bitching list. Some of this shot can save your life
I found the one I am going to buy next. Off of your channel. Those helmet are hard to find. Thanks.
I use LEDs simply due to visibility to others. Run them every time I ride, day, night, rain. ( I frosted the windscreen, so the entire screen, just GLOWS) It drops the "I didn't see you" situation considerably.
It's not for the cool factor, it's safety for me.
From what I've seen, underglow is generally accepted as a safety feature. It's good to avoid red and blue but anything else is good. I think you oversold how uncool it is.
Seems like more judgement than logic.
Bikes themselves are for fun and not as practical as a car.
My bike had led under glow the previous owner put on, I leave it off cause it drains the battery 😂
