How to set up your FNB Virtual Card

- Hey there everyone the Bank insider here.
This is just a short tutorial on how to add your virtual card to the FNB App
A virtual card is a digital card that is stored on your FNB profile. The key feature about this is that the CVV number changes every hour, keeping your card details more secure than ever.

Did you make sure to update your FNB app ?
@@thebankinsider yes am using the latest update, I only see "add card" which is for Physical card
@@thebankinsider I have the same problem. it's fully updated could it be because my account is new? I got mine from zambia fmi
With the CVV changing every hours, won't this be an issue using it on platforms like Paypal?

I actually had a not so nice experience with PayPal and that's why I made this video.
PayPal had somehow set up a recurring deduction on my account without my knowledge or permission and now I'm able to prevent any of these kind of transactions again because it would then require a CVV to authorise.
@@thebankinsider I have linked to my PayPal but declines every time I attempt a purchase, do I need to update the CVV per transaction?
@@endii_terminal8821 I think so ,give it a try and let me know of how it went so that everyone else who see's this will know how to go about it.
I click add card or virtual card but it just loads and stops. It never goes past this step.

It should work but Google ads will probably ask for the CVV number for the virtual card every time a payment needs to be processed.

My FNB app does not show the add virtual card what do you think is a problem?

I think you need to update the application from the play store or app store.

Hey @Ngwenya Manqoba . We think that feature may be disabled for student accounts but we're not too sure. We think contacting the bank would be the best place to get the correct information . Let us know how it goes👍🏾

To create an FNB Virtual Card, you need to have an FNBy, FNB Easy Zero, FNB Easy, FNB Debit, FNB Fusion, FNB Credit or FNB Debit Card Account, as well as the latest version of the FNB App on your mobile device.
